- MY BRITISH FRIEND "KUMANDER DAOT" VISITED ME IN BASILAN FOR A DAY...
I noticed that Kumander Daot was in Zamboanga City while I was in Basilan. And so, I called him up and invited him to come experience a day in Isabela de Basilan! What a day it was!! We started off riding local boats to a Barangay surrounded by mangroves. There, we were greeted by a wonderful community, and unique local snacks!
After a cultural immersion...
We took motorbikes and headed to the Basilan famous "Malamawi White Beach". I think my British friend was the whitest man at the beach on this day! It was really beautiful just hanging out and sharing positive moments at this beach resort in Basilan.
This was an amazing BecomingFilipino day in Mindanao!
Tourism is coming together in Isabela City, Basilan... and I am so excited for the future!

I am from Christian community and I am so happy to watch this vlog. Thanks for showcasing the culture of the Tausug, their food and dance. I wish you can show more as well as other Moro ethnic groups..Tausug, Yakan, Iranun, Badjao, Maranao, Maguindanao, Kalibugan, Kalagan, Molbog, Palawani, Jama Mapun, Sangil, and Samal. Most of their cultures are not highlighted in the Philippines. They have great food, music, dance, etc. I wish they are promoted more and more.
They are not Moro they are just converted.. those tribes already living long before muslim came

Thank you for featuring Basilan. This place needs to be promoted and open for tourism globally. The beaches there are amazing and the people are so kind. We should stop saying it is a dangerous place unless the people there themselves would say it! But based on your video, they are inviting both local and internationals to enjoy Basilan has to offer!
I hope the abbusayaf be erased so that Basilan will progress they are the tint of Basilan

Kulas and KD should be appointed as ambassadors of Tourism in Mindanao.

I'm a filipina living out of the country for over 30 yrs. I appreciate what you're doing by promoting the Philippines for tourism. I'm so glad that you're living in the country and loving it
this is the proof that I've said in some videos regarding the next step of the Department of Tourism to prioritize Mindanao in promotion, which gets some criticism from those who are not from here and haven't been here.. but with this video and so many other videos of Kulas, Kumander and other Foreign vloggers this tells that Mindanao is ready for Tourism both for local and foreign.
That area is still pristine after all these years. In my younger years, I was assigned in that area when war with MNLF broke out. I was right when I said of Malamawi "this is the next destination" when this war is over.
Kulas hulas sa pangalay. Kulas and K.Daot, through you, Filipinos and all people can see the beauty of Basilan. Thank you Basilan Tourism- you are the best Tourism in the entire Philippines.

I just saw a video clip with drawing on a chalk board. The professor asked the students,whats on the board,some said its a duck while others said its a rabbit. The professor said its just a chalk used for illustration.
My simple take away from the clips is.
We different point of view and we have our choice in what to believe.

What an absolutely beautiful place. I wish that the people and the tourists that come keep the place clean and as original as it came.
The place has it’s own culture and cuisine and of course the wonderful people. This could be a great tourist destination that could offer a tremendous opportunity for the locals. I wish the administration supports the locals rather than foreigners buying up the place and end up enslaving the locals.

Matagal ng safe ang mindanao noon pa. kung may mga kagulohan man malayong malayo yon sa mga lugar na pwedeng puntahan ng mga turista. ang hirap kasi lalo na mga taga luzon, pag mindanao akala na nila buong mindanao magulo na at delikado. Napaka laki ng isla ng mindanao at napaka liit lamang ng mga lugar na kritikal, pero kahit yong mga kritikal ngayon na lugar ay malaki na ang pinagbabago.

I never been to white beach 🏖️ in malamawi. But I have been to. Another municipalities white beaches omg it so crystal clear 🤍 all basilan beaches

Basilan is simply beautiful. Many Filipinos normally from Luzon and Visayas area shy away from this place because of the area is frequently visited by the insurgent guerillas. If only Philippines can protect and develop this area and its massive potential. Thanks Kyle for visiting and showing this beautiful part of the Philippines.

no disrespect intended, but i had a good laugh when i saw KD jump off the end of the pier at 16:15 in your drone footage, for when he was swimming he looked like a "white frog" swimming, hehehe. One or your best videos. i really enjoyed this video and all of your videos too. I was really scared "for you" while you were back riding the motorcycle on that narrow "foot bridge", that only had one hand rail. Amping (*_*)

hello brad. good morning. im from basilan and im glad to know that you're visiting my hometown and i appreciate it so much. its been a while since i've been there braf.. i've recently worked in that place. white beach resort. since 2011 until 2012. i'm am working now here in manila and since 2013 i never had an opportunity to go back in my hometown. i feel like i'm home now when i seen you there. Thank you for showing the world how beautiful mindanao and how beautiful basilan is..
