- The first ever scheduled daytime closure of all lanes on the M25 since it opened in 1986! 🚧
We are pleased to share a few clips from behind the scenes, as our Tru Demolition team makes excellent progress on the first shift on another bridge removal.
An incredible project to be a part of, working closely with Balfour Beatty.

This was the best managed change project in years. Expectations clearly set, timescales met and exceeded. Hats off to whoever was in charge of this piece of work. Why is this the exception, not the norm? This is how every piece of public infrastructure change should be managed. Great job to everyone involved.
The timescale being three years to build a motorway junction?
Weekend to remove bridge
A bridge that’s only being moved to put a gantry in its place at a cost of many millions and at least 3 motorway closures 🤦🏻♂️
Great effort to get this bridge over the M25 removed and the road opened 8 hours earlier than expected.
Thank you Matthew!
Would have been a lot quicker with educated experienced hammer operators. Just saying 😌
An overall brilliant job by all of the planners during this crucial weekend of closure and thanks to all involved they completed it eight hours ahead of schedule! Well done everybody involved! ( I live locally) 👍😁
The right people with the right kit
👍🏼👍🏼
Yes I clocked that too all shiny new plant to limit the chance of breakdowns and they possibly had spare plant just in case as this job was mega high profile and completed earlier than forecast and most importantly ….safely….well done all involved👍
Some excellent footage here, loving the backlight and flair.
Must have been fun for the operators, the light seems to be pants for actual vision.
Fantastic video there. Great to see all the plant and machinery working on this big job. Very interesting piece of viewing as we had all heard about the job before it started.
Spot on lads. I had the pleasure of working in your yard in December. 👏 Proper setup. I love machines, and to see all the best kit in one place was great! Always loving your V8 Scanias, always beautifully turned out.
Great video. Good to see that we can still execute projects like this.
Some job. Great work, by the Tru7 team
Much appreciated!
Do you mean the workers or the watchers.
@@TRU7GROUPsilly question but could you have controlled blown it up in sections?
This is amazing work but leaves me wondering why it takes my local council over 2 months to fix a set of broken traffic lights
😅😅
I probably think the traffic lights contractor was backed up with work, (not the local council)..
And potholes around the countrys roads
Council don’t have the funds compared to national highways. Get a job in traffic management like I have you’ll understand the industry better
@@XLbullyZeus Thats their problem council always goes for cheapest price not the middle of the road price cost them more money in the end so i do understand quite well thanks
Ladies and gentlemen that’s how you take a bridge down 💪💪👌
Cracking, really wanted to see this
Nice new quality equipment used with little to no chance of breakdowns or fluid leaks TRU7 all the way
Better than the video the MSM or Highways have put out! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Great video chaps.
Camerawork and quality is absolutely fantastic, great to watch :)
What camera was this shot on?
Thanks Paul, it was shot on a Canon R3 using an RF 70-200 f2.8 and RF 24-105 f4
The Timelapse was captured using a GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini 👍🏼
I was interested to see what you were protecting the carriageway with, must have been some super heavy duty mats!
on a couple of shots it looks like 6" mats of something, the peckers etc seemed to be sitting on extra support.
beautiful
Brilliant job
Volvo machine power full
Typically as many men standing around with hands in pockets as actual workers. but very interesting, had not seen the dust fighters before.
Could be wrong here, but in the daytime shots, many less men 'standing around'. Could it be that the initial first few hours attracted managers etc from all the agencies involved? Then they all went home.
@@JohnnyMotel99Possibly, or they were the truck drivers, as for a while they would have nothing to do
Maybe security keeping the twats away.
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for doing the video, good to see work being done any more on why it was done.
Tidy work team 👌
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
As an owner operator, I can see these guys know what they’re doing and have the correct equipment 👍
👍👍👍
if you think this is good then no wonder why we are the laughing stock of the world when it comes to this.. if you want to know how its done properly and far quicker.. look at japan
@@Migman2020 🤡
It’s nice to see a rational comment from a viewer that actually knows what they are talking about (for a change).👍
You're an owner operator? What is your company called? Pray tell
Just think how long the next one will take with battery driven kit.
you do realise electric pumps can easily power the hydraulics on these machines? A small item in a vehicle with huge space for batteries - driving long distances would kill the idea off but these rigs are trucked to site and look - they dont move far. The only change you'd see with EV rigs on this specific job would be less total noise (although still loads of hammering) and less fumes for the workers to breathe.
Look at the Falkirk Wheel - spinning a huge structure carrying tons of water is done with the equivalent power of a few toasters.
Great skills by the excavator operators - I was worried a hydraulic line would snag on the exposed rebar.
Nice footage 😎👌☕️
Good job no politicians involved!
Top job guys, all the who ha about how dare they close the M25 etc finished way ahead of schedule
Is it a master piece, finish before schedule, when schedule is incredible plenty of time? Better huge schedula than small, but no masterpiece with such huge and lot of machinery at one small bridge...
In my opinion would have been easier to cut in 2 big pieces , luftet bye a huge crawler on side where one or 2 demolishen excavators could demolish it.less dust, less closed road, less guys with hands in pockets
Good job done. Anyone know why the bridge was scheduled for demolition?
Because it wasn't wide enough for the new the new slip roads leading from the M25 onto / from the A3. It will be replaced by another bridge later during the year.
Would have loved to be the camera op on this job. Do love a bit of demolition.
Pounding headache after that night shift!
All the railings could have been pre-cut, that would have saved an hour or more. Both sections could have been lifted on jacks and transported offsite in a much more economic way. Why was everyone standing around? Paperwork?
how would you cut the railings over an active motorway? Too much risk! Also while the railings are cut, there are lots of other things going on, laying protective mats, moving equipment into place, etc etc
Given that this demolition was completed, and all debris removed appropriately 8 hours ahead of the estimated time, I really can't see that whatever approach they took matters, but I guess some people will never be satisfied.
One thing about learning is realising how little you knew..
If it was that easy do you not think they would have done that? Most probably over 6 months planning has gone into the removal of that bridge. Maybe if it was easy you should join the industry divvy
Glorious work! Can i ask how come you chose to demo it with machines and not det charges? I could have rigged that whole section up in an hour and had it into small chunks for you to collect less than 60 seconds later! Save u on fuel for those machines ect 😉
Wouldn’t have justified buying all brand new gear for the job 😂
How many bodies did they find propping up this bridge ???
Probably a couple but the planners probably allowed for up to six as a contingency.
It said in the news that m25 is opened in 6
I thought i was watching a Cal-Trans operation here!!!!! LOL.....
Seriously why were explosive charges not used!?
Why do people think that the M25 is all inside London? Only a part is in Lobdon, most of it is outside I e. in Surrey , Kent etc..
Ja też w niszczeniu jestem dobry 😊😊
Anyone know why the bridge was removed?
Redesign of the junction.
Yes it was in the way.
So who the hell built the bridge there in the first place?
Was that water being spayed at the bridge? If so, why?
Dust suppression
@@XLbullyZeus cheers
But to be real shows what we can do if organised well very good.....as opposed to HS2!
Typical civil construction site half dozen men working and 300 managers health and safety nobs stood around telling you how to do your job.
Thats our modern economy and thats why china woll overtake us and make us to their labour. Cause the proportions between workers and managers( only working with mouth and typewriting) is completely unhealthy...and not future leading! Remember the song ' in the year 2525...."😢
I happen to lead this scheme for National Highways and what you say is a long, long way from the truth.
Volvos, but...but...but. No LD18 stickers?
Does anyone know which bridge was removed? Was it the bridleway bridge just north of the A3 junction?
Yes
Blasting?? Might be a bit faster just an idea
Hard to imagine that I spend an hour every day parked underneath that bridge.
Wow, Only an hour? 🤔🤣
Oh well that’s an hour a day saved for you buddy, happy days!
@@Willheheckaslike-d4h pedantic. Lighten up.
Why are there so many people standing watching others work? No one stands next to me and stares at me when I am working
Be happy about.its so nervy,/ frustrating when people make money for breathing air and watching you working!!
Техника прекрасна. Разбирали долго. Металлические тавры можно было просто уронить
More people watching than doing. Like most roadworks these days
These people watching are project managers, structural engineers, machine technicians. All key to getting the bridge down and dusted 8hrs ahead of schedule on one of the worlds busiest roads
All the machines look brand new . Was they, all they had to do was blow the centre collum up end of
Thing has more steel than concrete in it!
I want one of those jobs the people in the orange jackets have. Jesus they were paid to just watch it happen and the only periodically
Now you all know why the UK is expensive so many men paid to watch whilst machines work.
So would you prefer the machines just to be computer guided and no work or pay for those men and their families?
@@philtucker1224 Ah you are an immigrant, what language would you prefer l post in?
What are you farting on about?
@@suburbanyobbo9412 who knows but it's certainly coming out of his arse...
Think you really need banksmen etc on a fantastic job like this well done lads.
They shouldve been split into two two teams, whichever demolishes first gets a bonus...
Its not a computer game!
Too many people not wearing ear protection while watching
Great to see skilled workers earning their wages. Having said that you have white helmets/black helmet types being paid well over £45k for standing around like lemmings! Get rid of the chaff and give their wages to the labourers etc. too many chiefs etc.
Totally agree,👍
Massive U.K. shortage unfortunately, so now they can effectively write their own cheques…
If they just used c4 it could of been all done and over with in a few hours
Very light charges , running in opposite directions ? Must be a good reason why it wasn’t used. Damage to the road below?
Just call the Israeli Air Force they'd have it down in seconds 😂😂
they only do buildings such schools, hospitals, churches, mosques and residential blocks.😜
@@dashcamtraveller4236 fair point. But what if we can, you know, expand that range maybe?
Now, cyclists, walkers, and horse rider’s wait for months for the two bridges to be rebuilt!
Shows Americans how its done properly 😅
Ah they do work at night,,.. Just leave the traffic lights to the daytime for works taking place on the kerb..
Wonder which mayor of London had a backhander off Volvo for that advertisement, all brand-new machines
Are you saying Boris?
Some companies like to keep a new fleet. The one I work for replaces machines every couple of years. Plus it's the motorway so it has nothing to do with a mayor of London.
That’s what Tru7 do! A job like this they would send the best of their fleet!
10 man for every 1 working lol
So it only took 10 min 23sec to knock it down..what was all the fuss about?
Wow someone is making a lot of money, they have bought all brand new machines.
More people watching than working, sadly typical of infrastructure contractors with an endless pit of money to burn.
More pecking than a chicken farm
shame on you, A cargo ship could do this job in seconds, aided by just enough thermite.
Ten blokes stood watching, typical.
ENGLANDS BUSIEST MOTORWAY....FACT
There’s nothing tofu about these bridges.
What was the reason for removing this small horse bridge ? Looks like a total waste of tax payers money. As usual
I'm sure there was a perfectly valid reason otherwise it wouldn't have been done
Because it wasn't wide enough for the new the new slip roads leading from the M25 onto / from the A3. It will be replaced by another bridge later during the year.
35 people stood around watching one person on a machine. Sums up the ability of British infrastructure companies now. Complete joke
