I just watched this episode last night, loving the live-action One Piece! Fun build, the clever way you attached the head cap to the brim with tabs is very useful. And great meeting you at DragonCon...I'm a huge fan!
That was an extremely fun build video. And the hat looks amazing. With your newly acquired skills, you can retire and open a hair salon, too. **grin** Thanks, Steve!
It's exactly as the live action anyway 😂😂😂 Hey Steve there's a lot cool props on the show, swords, the snail phone...You would make some of them!😎😝 Big hug from Spain!
Awesome job as always Steve. I hope you had a great time at DragonCon. Now this re-ignites my interest in doing a Sogeking or Sniper King mask from Usopp
I loved this video. I had been looking for a long time how to make a pirate hat for a school project until I got this video as a suggestion and just what I was looking for from Buggy. thank you so much
@@SKSProps Have you considered making Mihawks sword, hat, and kogatana? We want to cosplay Buggy and Mihawk with a group in May at a Pirate event 🏴☠️☠️

Can you please make a big wizard hat like rani from elden ring or resident evil's lady Dimitrescu please since halloween is on its way wizard hat is something much needed
I've been having trouble tracing stencils onto the foam, I've tried several different kinds of pencils, which pencil do you use? And does the graphite type/softness matter?
hi i want to make this but do u think i could use 2mm foam instead or would it be too flimsy? ive never used these materials before so idk how it works but i am kinda on a budget and need a buggy halloween costume and 2mm is cheaper..
i would buy the foam from ur link but all i have rn is a $25 amazon gift card im trying to make this costume with just that and whatever i can find in my house/dollar tree 😭😭😭
There are a ton of CA glues out there, but I figure you like Bobs because it works. I’ve used some that don’t stick well to anything or they’re so slow they take forever to adhere.
I’ve used a ton of them and yeah it’s my favorite at this point. In a pinch I’ll also use loctite professional but agreed there are bad brands as well. I’m looking at you zap
I love this tutorial, super easy to follow and I can see everything in great detail! I used 8mm foam instead of 4mm for the head base on accident. Will this effect the hat at all?

It's cool that you do advanced projects AND simple ones. Makes it accessible for all skill levels.
I try my best to have a little something for every type of builder 🙌

You're an absolute legend for this! Thank you!
You're welcome! 🙌
Thats cool. Maybe you & Thomas from Much Props could do a collaboration!
If i wanted to ad fabric, would you suggest gluing on the fabric before putting it together?
Depends on the fabric. If you glue it all flat it could make it difficult to curve the foam with the additional tension
@SKSProps I was thinking a cotton fabrbic.
Is there a difference between HD foam and EVA foam?

Am I going to die for sanding foam and plastic without a respirator? I don’t have a respirator so I’ve been winging it….. 🫤
Go buy a respirator they are cheap and will keep fumes and fine particulates of dust out of your lungs.
I am struggling so hard with the round part of the hat, my pieces don't fit properly and I'm about to give up 😞
It’s a tough shape and just takes practice 🙌
My favorite time of year is finally here, SKS Halloween season!

hey man I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if you have a PDF for Blackbeards hat from One Piece that you could share
no, I haven't made a specific one for him but I'd just download my buggy one and modify that to create BB
Wow it looks incredible, it would be awesome if you did Big Mom's hat, Napoleon!! 🩷
Thanks!

In my opinion 2mm would be too thin for this application. It’s no like my witch hat that hangs off of the brim
Please make rompi armor Kakashi Hatake Anbu version 🥺😢

go check out my friend much props he just did a video on that

@SKSProps I really appreciate the quick reply! Hopefully it'll be fine then :D
Fun build Steve!
