    Thanks for watching everyone. I hope you enjoyed. This was a nice trip. I haven’t used a hammock in awhile. The pasta strainer stove worked excellent. I think I learned about using that from Swedwoods. It’s a great addition.

      So true. Even when I bring a tent, I still like to bring a tarp. The pan was a thrift store find for $1! I just took the handle off before I went out for this trip to make it pack easier. I need to drill a hole and add a second ring to make fitting a handle a little easier and more stable.

    I saw this guy raise a paster strainer to his mouth, flip it open and back a little... bionic cough!
    Moccasins are the best. Move through the bush with no sound and like wearing clouds. Easy enough to make too. (Indians definitely aren't dumb.)
    Ol' MacDonald must be spittin' out his chips! You've beaten him to the 'halfpounder' n' cheese... without the chems! (Gonna have to try that Bannock bread mate. Easier than damper and done in the dixie.)
    The hammock system rocks. I've been using it for years... I like your system of it, quick, easy and effective...
    (Hittin' pause and zoomin' in at places.)
    Awesome!
    Recently I told some of my Christian friends my church is the ocean and natural surroundings especially where there's water.
    I love this video man!
    The sound of the rain, the birds, and that you're wize to interrupt it as little as possible with words.
    Thank you for the inspiration.💜👍

    Excellent double use for that strainer too, was that for good coals on wet ground or do you have root fire issues out in your area?

    • @EnduranceRoom
      @EnduranceRoom  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! Thanks man. Mostly using it for fire ring for leave no trace. But, yes, root fires are definitely a thing here, especially in the summers. It’s been pouring rain the last few weeks, so not too much of a concern at the moment. Anyways, the strainer worked pretty well. Light, compact, yet opens up to make a nice little fire that’s a bit more “natural” than a box type stove.

    • @Tim_Keys
      @Tim_Keys 5 месяцев назад

      Great idea man, I might steal it for some day hiking where the shape won't take too much room or risk coming into contact with my sleeping bag. Looks way easier than my UCO grill which is pretty hefty, even for the smallest mini they offer. My wife walked into the kitchen last night and had to double take on your video, haha immediately said "I'm glad you nerds found each other."

    • @EnduranceRoom
      @EnduranceRoom  5 месяцев назад

      @@Tim_Keys Lol that’s too funny! Awesome. I used some pliers and pulled out the the 3 leg posts and the center ring pole. It makes it more compact, lighter and lets it cool off much faster. The center pole held heat much longer than the rest of the metal. I sort of branded myself before removing it! 😂
      To make up for the legs, just two larger sticks underneath lets the fire breathe and protects the ground. I am pretty sure I saw Swedwoods using this first. He is a wealth of knowledge.
