Just subbed, wishing you success with your channel. Had a great flight (Melbourne to Adelaide) with Rex last week after Jetstar cancelled, the staff on Rex were lovely.
Thanks for the sub and we’ll wishes Kara! I am certainly trying my best to grow the channel. Glad to hear! I’m keen to fly Rex again when I get back to Aus
@@LukeCrisp I have flown on their SAAB 340s. Such a great flight experience. Those twin props a total different flying experience than in the bigger jets.
Hi Luke, I am really enjoying your content so far including this one, its amazing how similar the landscape is around Adelaide on your approach as it is around Cape Town where I live, the flight path for most incoming flights is also over the North Eastern Suburbs with a similar look and feel. The Adelaide Airport also seems to have more soul than the Airport at Melbourne. The ticketing hall looked bleak and soulless. I am looking forward to your next Rex business class trip, in addition to your driving trips. 🚗 I wish you success with your channel.
Oh really, Wow! Yeah I love approaches coming into Adelaide… your either over the sea one day and then from the north east over the city the next. I will say though, that was only T4 and the Rex section… so very small and bland and it only houses Jetstar and Rex. I think Adelaide has a lot of natural light which really helps! Large windows which makes it feel more pleasant. Thanks Funk Dunk! I appreciate you taking the time out to comment! I’ll keep the videos coming!
Nice video, Luke. The service looked great. I was surprised they had a gluten-free snack for you which I think actually looked better than the regular snack. I’m looking forward to more videos on Rex.
Mate I was surprised they had a GF snack as well! Great… I’ll be uploaded a regional flight with Rex on one of their SAAB 340s next week. Thanks for the comment Michael
I flew on 4 Rex flights back in August, two Saab 340B's (VH-ZXG and ORX) and two 737-800's (VH-MFM and RQC). All flights were on time. I will use them again for sure
The Saab 340s are awesome! Old planes but I loved the experience. I also took a 737 Rex flight recently, no complaints. In case you haven’t, Rex now have a frequently flyer program (Rex Flyer) sign up get your 5k points for free then you can also claim any flights in the last 6 months. Cheers for the comment
Interesting to see ZL's economy class. REX was the only airline that still has inflight magazine during COVID. I've only flown them during the MEL-ADL inaugural, not sure if I'll ever have a reason to fly them again though. But you'll never know. They are one up from Virgin as they offer a free snack. Thanks for this video, enjoyed it!
Yeah fair enough. I’m interested to fly their business class soon as it’s not overly expensive…. and make a comparison. I’ll be flying on one of their SAAB 340s tomorrow, looking forward to it! Thanks for watching Ryan
Hey… sorry, I honestly don’t remember… if I filmed in the cabin maybe that’s the best reference. I’ve flown with them since and it was around 70%… just depends on time and the day, what’s on etc. glad you liked the video, cheers 👍
Hi Luke.Very nice coverage of this flight. It looks to me that Rex is an airline in Australia that in difficult times like these, tries its best to become a trustworthy airline.I believe that the ticket fares must be cheaper than Qantas too.I've never been to Adelaide.I have only visited Brisbane,Sydney and Melbourne. It must be an interesting city too.See you.Cheers mate.
Hey Yannis! Correct, the fares are cheaper than Qantas… I paid a little extra on this day due to the fact I only booked the trip about 4 days before hand. I am actually flying on their Saab 340 this Saturday with a regional flight… so looking forward to that. Overall I’d say they are a trust worthy airline… just in the very early stages in terms of their domestic presence. Yeah Adelaide is a great city mate! Must come to check it out! Cheers!
At least you get a snack with Rex. You've also got some great regional flights out of Adelaide, like Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Mt Gambier Kangaroo Island etc , all short scenic trips. I flew Qantaslink ( Q300) to Whyalla last June and we took of on the cross runway (30)
We sure do Fred! Funny enough I’m actually flying on the dash 8 over to Pt Lincoln this Saturday and back with Rex on their Saab 340. Hopefully I’ll get to take off or land on the cross runway as well!

Another top report! I wish all the best for Rex in the future with their growth in the domestic market....Cheers from Thailand!
Cheers Rod! Likewise!
Nice one! I am a big fan of Rex. I have flown them 3 times now and always enjoyed their service.
Yeah awesome! I’ll be flying with their jet service again for sure. This weekend I’ll be trying out their SAAB 340, so looking forward to that flight.

Thanks for sharing and providing a great insight to REX. Haven't tried there jet services yet but certainly keen to do so soon!
No worries, I enjoyed putting this one together! Yep, definitely recommend trying them out when you get a chance.
Great content, enjoy the channel very much!
Thanks Peter! I appreciate you taking the time out to let me know.
super late but was the flight full? or were there some empty seats? thanks and thoroughly appreciate and enjoy the video

@@theladrides Qantaslink fly there don't they?
They didn't stop at scheduled place (Monkey Mia) citing lack of pilots. So why go into business if you don't have the necessary??
What are you referring to Jane? May need to elaborate
