This is sooooo much better than the thread tool in Fusion 360 it's honestly ridiculous.

I had trouble finding the thread creator until I realised that there was no space in threadcreator! I installed V20 and it works a treat. Thank you for the video. I'm gradually working my way through all of your On-Shape tutorials.

It's pathetic to me that they have an External Thread tool, that doesn't show threads, & doesn't produce an stl with them, either. The hoops we have to jump though to get a thread for a bolt, and a nut is simply too time consuming. F360 can do it, but my pocket can't.

to account for tolorence would you just increate the diameter of the internal threads to whatever the size is plus .4mm so for instance your circles were 10mm for each so then i would change the diameter to the nut to be 10.4?

do you need to account for a small gap to reduce friction?

Yes you will need to take into account the tolerance 👍

Thanks for the vid! One question, when making a female thread we want to remove but this seems to add? is there a way to remove thread from surface instead of just add using this package?

Create two separate bodies and use the Boolean feature to remove the thread e.g. subtract one body from another 👍
