Next week's video: Sethbling installs Windows XP onto a SMW cartridge
Commodore KERNAL
FlashVincent10 windows 10
Otex 11 Windows 101 from the future..
Bob Bob IF it was possible, it would be Linux. actually it would be neat, but Seth would need to have quiet a lot of knowledge of linux, and of course like linux. and if a person likes linux, you probably get to know about it
Raspberry pi on a SMW
I'm more impressed that there is a SNES numpad controller
TheGameGuy Butz is INnocent
BottleCapper IMPACT a toast to innocent butz
BottleCapper IMPACT no
Can't wait for the Horse Race Betting Mod.
At this point, I wonder. How much more can this game give us? We have mere minutes on a speedrun, mod-support, and now the ability to literally reprogram the game. What more is there?
Exploding the console, then putting it back together to make *Another game*
The likeliest next step is carrying the jailbreak over into other games. Pokemon Red hackers already did this with Super Mario Land 2, and they used the same technique SethBling used to copy the jailbreak from cartridge to cartridge.
If you can jailbreak a game and inject code into it, you can inject into RAM that doesn't get cleared when the game is removed (i.e. how you transfer this jailbreak into another cartridge). This means you can transport code into other games, and thus you have yourself a cheating device.
You can also program some games and other homebrew apps into the game, mod it, add "custom" texture packs... Your imagination (within the cartridge's space restraints) is the limit :D
I don't want to sound like a smartass. But isn't that what gameshark, action replay, game genie are for?
Difference between a chisel and a jackhammer. Gio
Next he is going to make super Mario 64 using the smw jailbreak
I expect him to remake BotW fully on an NES or I'll unsub
MaximumFunGaming he's going to make the entire Pokémon series using the jailbroken snes next 👍
Welcome here, Sethbling back
The Green Truffle Today I am gonna inject Mario Kart 8 into the jailbroken Super Mario World Cartridge.
Camersauce But first, we need to talk about parallel universes.
Camersauce The "with an account" got me
When will you... respawn?
Is the world... flat?
If only we had this in 1990..... Anyway great video and great work
3:35 in addition to that I can also AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The programs they used to put man on the moon only took about 4 KB of space. You know what to do.
i dont think you can program an engine onto a snes lmao
Chorosso See, we make the engine in Minecraft, then we RAM hack it into SMW.
ahh i see now
inb4 in game level editor using your jailbreak
have you slept in your last 5 days?
I hope you make this mod super compact so you can always have it, and then do mod partitions so you can load other mods individually in addition.
You take this game so seriously, AND THAT'S WHAT I LOVE!
This is awesome.
Next up: Sethbling cures cancer using Super Mario World Jailbreak.
How about entering a barebones linux kernel into it ?
TheMonyarm That might actually be less silly than it sounds. And think of the possibilities. :-)
sarowie no one said anything about useful
TheMonyarm The smallest Linux kernel is at least a couple hundred kb's, and seeing that the SNES has 128kb, that would be nearly impossible.
You would need a compiler for the SNES.
I think Linux would be to big, but maybe a microkernel would work. Oh and you would need to kill SMW, because it would be hard to run a kernel every frame, however such thing would work XD
MrDavibu True, a altered version of the 2.4 branch with the bare minimum to run a serial terminal would probably be a possibility. Forget about graphics or other stuff, there is no room for it, unless somebody makes a custom cartridge with extra RAM. (NES games had this a lot)
This is really intresting. Reverse engineering SMW is amazing. Good job !
I don't own any of the equipment here. Naturally, the video is still interesting and amazing.
Next up: Sethbling runs every atari game inside Super Mario World
Actually there is an zx spectrum emulator on golfen eye anf DK64 if i recall correctly
You could conceivably fit everything for and Atari 2600 into the unused RAM.
What now, will you combine the numpad with the mouse and make the game Mario Maker?
maybe
Samu Rönkkö Mario Maker in SMW has been made with TAS code injection before, there's a GDQ video of it. I imagine that the mouse and numpad could potentially make it much more useable.
@@nmotschidontwannagivemyrea8932 Whats the video link?
I dont even own an nes nor even a mario games but your vids are awesome
SNES*
Zciurus I KNOW RIGHT
This is made quite evident by the fact that you called it the NES rather than the SNES ;P
buddons
buh-ins
I bet, if you tried, you could update SMW basically into a newer mario, like with wall jumps and ice flowers and stuff
This.^
Of course he can add new sprites. Anything within the power of the Snes is possible now. He just has to write and inject the code.
He can't add new sprites, but pretty sure he can change their color by changing the sprite sheet color.
Unless I'm mistaken, he's already added new sprites; in the previous video, didn't he change the Koopas to something else?
That's just what normally happens to enemies once you beat star road.
I could be wrong regarding to the cause, but those sprites are in the normal game.
SMM in SMW would be a grand mod.
Mu'izz Siddique omg
These videos are great. I don't follow this kind of modding/speed-running stuff normally, most of it is a little above my head, but getting the occasional snapshot into some of what's going on is great. Thanks SethBling
How great it is to see improvements on a custom mod! Great job SethBling!
NTT Data still operates, but I don't know much about them, other than the fact that they have a contract with my employer and they supply contracted employees to work in IT, like software development. Imagine my shock when I saw their logo on an SNES controller...
how many armorstands does it take?
hardik 11 47
Kermit the Frog wrong, 48

Next video: Multiplayer Mod for SMW Jailbreak
Pickolo01 theres already a rom hack for that
Rybellion romhacks were shut down by nintendo.
*cough* *cough* SNES mouse mod *cough*
Oryx too bad it wasn't
Keep showcasing these mods! Theyre super neat!
The Jailbreak video in the description is unavailable.
Thanks, fixed.
That's a way to get the RUclipsr to comment on your comment haha
The mod made for 1 man.
Welcome back Seth bling here. Today we have an SNES emulator in Minecraft running a special version of Minecraft on a jail broken Mario world cartridge .
You should add this to the jailbrake with a jump command to enable it, this way people who already have the controller can just start typing and also load a second mod.
"Who needs mod support? i'll just inject code" and then this thing was born
Welcome back, sethbling here, today I did something a little different. I cured cancer using standard unmodded SMW hardware.
-Sething, 2018
the horse betting game is called JRA PAT. and only recently were the servers for the thing was taken down
Imagine if Sethbling made Minecraft in Super Mario World
Then he would be able to emulate Atari on Minecraft...on SMW
with one frame every 3-4 months!
Suddenly, after decades, the sales for this controller go up by 10000%…
There's also a Gamecube controller with basically a full keyboard in the middle
i guess we are just gonna get a new series:
sethbling jailbreaks everything
well, i highly expect the next video is "Running Doom in SMW"
DUDE!!! Seth is on a roll with the vids!!!
Would it be possible to make the modded cartridge output custom music, using sounds already in Super Mario World? Maybe even with that controller as a MIDI-like device?
In the next episode: SethBling will hack integrated demo player (the same code that controls Mario in the background of main menu) and launch TAS of SMW straight from the cartridge!
The side arrows on the controller are for "next page" and "previous page".
Time to focus on Commander Keen, Seth!
Has science gone too far?
Barnesrino Kripperino The science can't go too far.
Nice hat, video, room, and personality!
I bet that controller makes entering Game Genie codes a breeze...lol
Now you can become a spy and send secret messages hidden in SMW cartridges via UPS.
I loove this channel!
If you pause at the right time at 1:10 it looks like Seth is giving you smokey eyes.
Can you try making a keyboard compatible with the jailbreak?
Next week: Konami code "it actually doesn't do anything but I implemented it just for fun"
Next episode: Keyboard controller in SMW.
A game controller used to bet on horse racing is probably the most Japanese product ever made
SethBling beats the game just after 3:57
now you should make your own games with these cartridges, and just make custom snes games
Pretty nifty.
'Connecting my phone to Super Mario World on the SNES'
turn smw into a 2d minecraft
Now I'm half expecting someone to figure out how to make that controller work as a phone with the old modem.
How come I haven't watched this channel in two years?
Triggered Paul Joseph Watson
Because minecraft died, i am happy that he quit minecraft tbh
Why is Seth so... good looking?
Would it be possible to load multiple mods, such as the telekinesis mod with the numpad mod? Or would that be to much for the cartridge?
If there's space for it, then yes you could run several mods.
In theory yes, you write the telekenesis manually into unused ram and call it, same for the other mods if they are >1kb
Next Video: Fidget Spinners in Minecraft
I love these videos keep making them
So you made a mod to make it easier to mod. cool
Would it be possible to jailbreak it with game genie? I'd like that.
he made a video
Damn youve been at WORK
You are insane, dude
i am proud of you
Next video: Super Scope Mod for SMW Jailbreak
*A N D I T A L L W O R K S B E C A U S E O F A R M O R S T A N D S*
You deserve more subscribers.
The next thing for you to do is to create a device that uses the same control inputs that you used in this video for installing mods automatically. Arduino or Raspberry Pi project?
These new videos are great
what cool he uploaded again😁
2 player simultaneous - got to be done, surely? in fact - multitap - make it 8 player simultaneous....
This mod is basically a modding IDE
Is it possible to make a wall-jump mod?
I think that'd be pretty cool.
omg sethbling you are a fucking legend
Seth could you program a whole new level with the JB? or maybe expand the hidden 97th debug 'level'?
Wouldn't it be cool if someone could make a dialup mp mod?
I wonder how you program something in hexadecimal.
I've never studied deeply enough programming to know this kind of stuff
This is so epic.
Finally More videos
AGDQ Bedding material
How about rewriting the whole cartrige for making a terminal based computer for Mathfunctions, for Example a Prime number generator
Seth should program Donkey Kong (arcade) for SMW
Sweet! Now, can we get the ELKS (Linux for 8086) onto the system?
next video is goint to be curing cancer by runing SMW emulator on ps2 on windows XP while running roblox in minecraft using armorstands that are recreated as coppies of Earthbound using 4 GB of ram to host a minecraft server that uses Emulator on your phone and teleporting mario through portal to real word whit a Snes
When's the 2600 emulator in SMW coming out? Hopefully will be faster than Minecraft.
More, PLEASE
*Injects code into 20 year old game to do incredible things.* *uses tape for letters on a controller*
I really want one, but I have no idea how I would even find one of those controllers.
never cilcked on vid so fast
Where is the video of SMB1 in SMW at GDQ? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
Damn Nintendo... making a game more susceptible to ACE (Arbitrary Code Execution) than Apple!
Just ordered one of these controllers for myself, took forever to track one down and i ended up paying almost $70 for mine
