I'm having my first toy show ever in 3 days and I am bringing high value sealed in box Legos Star wars, re issue transformers, I think it's a really bad idea to sell anything cheap for a dollar or two dollars you had to use for bins for them, if you sold some of the things that you collect you might have did a lot better, but you cannot bring low value things and expect a big return, also I would have went out into the other room and I would have told people Pokemon cards and promoted my stuff in the other room with a excuse me interruption,
Yeah that location+weather+no marketing it is rough, never give up,also selling so many cheap items is good for clearing up inventory
A little tip because I've done this before as a hobby as you know,if you have room behind you alwais bring something tall but light easy to assemble and disassemble kind of shelf to expose more items, put the expensive set and expensive items there so you do not risk on the front, the display and something tall to "catch the eye" is key to attract people
Alwais awesome to follow you thanks guys these video make me feel so much nostalgia,i need to do some more toy show or fair here around me i really miss them
Good and fair point!
I am going to be a vendor at a toy show tomorrow. Leaving to go set it up in a few hours.
Good luck!
What's your eBay store name? How do I find it?

Could it be that Calgary isn’t as affluent as Toronto? I know in Montreal video games are cheap because people don’t have as much money as Toronto
That’s a tough one. I know what you mean. But at the same time. Less taxes, cheaper housing, and higher salaries. So I feel like it wouldn’t matter. Toronto has super wealthy people there. But the middle class is taxed to death.
Definitely let the show runner know it sucks and sucks to do but sometime you even gotta raise your voice up about paying for the table. Especially by the looks of the room you were in .
I agree. It’s a learning experience. New shows and organizers just starting out can learn from this. Keep the vendors happy.
Oh man, that's rough dude. I would recommend sending feedback to the showrunner. Maybe just send this video to them. They will not survive if they don't take care of their vendors. The backroom tables with no signage or welcoming into the area is just not ok. When I go to a card show I walk around and look at everything before buying anything. If I was there and didn't see the backroom I would make decisions to buy prior to seeing everything. So it wouldn't be a good show for a customer or a vendor. They need to know this or they're done. Good luck at the next show!
I appreciate the feedback and completely agree. I had bad vibes from the start Thrifty the process with them. I will not be selling with them again.
