Bert, l like your videos, especially the variety of things you work on (you're not constrained to firewood). I think it would be interesting to have you show us something about your day job (I understand that you are a fine machinist). I would like to see how you make those chainsaw bar vises (by the way I've been waiting for 6 months for my order and am always told when I query about them that they're coming soon!). Pls. show us how you make them!
Looks like you got that down to a science Bert. Why do you put the top braces back on? Very useful video. I got some totes but didn't have the right bits to remove the screws. I got a set of bits from Amazon and can work on totes now. They are handy. I got 8, years ago to use as emergency water holders. I could get them free then. I would like to have more now for wood but would have to buy them.
How many screws you drop in the grass? Lol Field corn is looking good along the woodyard. Farmers are still planting around here. 2nd crop soybeans and finishing up their other no-till soybeans. A field I walk by everyday the corn is about 5" tall. It may be knee high by the 4th of July here in southeastern Illinois. I'm sure there are fields that will be. I just live a sheltered life and don't see how the fields are progressing. Bert you going to try and save the old barn? Allot of old barns around here are disappearing from the landscape. Some board by board or the roof is rotting off. They are becoming a thing of the past for sure sure. Wish you could of seen a round barn before it was left to rot away. Interesting how it was built back in the day to store hay above and feed the cows below.
What do ya save the bladders for
I have a few guys that want them. When I get a pile, I list them on Facebook Marketplace for FREE.
Great Stuff Bert, waiting for the tree work😁
Coming soon!
Man it’s like tote heaven up there!😂👍👍
Yup. I'm going for another load today after work.
Goodstuff Bert! Money in the bank!
Cash never goes in bank.
@@BertsCustomCuts I identify as Amish !!! Cash or Barter.... no gubmnt involved
Great video. I’m glad you have a market for these totes.🇺🇸👇
Me too! Sometimes they move fast, and sometimes they are around for a while.
Another great video Bert.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good morning Bert!!😀😀
Morning Al
Well you certainly have stripping down totes down to a science 👍
After doing hundreds of them, it only takes about 5min each, including the time of getting rid of bladders. Takes 3 times as long when making a video.
Nice to have lots of land & storage I'm limited living in the big city!
I like to stack empty totes 3 high and full ones 2 high just to save space.

I put top bars back in for stacking purpose that they dont tip in, and when full of wood, the top doesn't spread apart.
I’m in the same boat a lot of bladders and what to do with them. I’ve sold a few gave away a few and I still have a big collection of them
I list them on Facebook marketplace for free to get rid of them.
Fast and efficient work. What do you charge for a load of 20. I’m in northern Minnesota. So I’d have a ways to drive.
I get $30 each and $35 if I take the bladders out.
Wish I could find a good source for totes, price in SE Georgia is ridiculous!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
There are some in this area that are high as well. They sell new for over $700

I dropped 1 screw in the grass. There is a round barn about 30min drive from me. It was restored and in good shape.
