Cinemagic Park was one of my two ideas back when we didn’t know the official renaming. I prefer it myself but I believe this would’ve been more easily chosen by Disney than Cinemagic Park/ Adventure.
Just "Disney's Parc Cinémagique" alone would be catchy enough, while still easy to say and also have just the right amount of Frenchiness. Everyone in Europe would be able to pronounce it, and English speakers can just say Cinemagic if they feel like it.
Great ideas! Personally I know you were focussed on bringing back Visionarium to Disneyland Park, but if you're going to do that I would create that space within Discoveryland by expanding Toy Story Land to include Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. If you're expanding Toy Story Land I'd also want to see the Mr Potato Head animatronic from DCA, though I wouldn't necessarily bother with Midway Mania? Given it's on the correct side of the park already and there's theming pieces already in existence, I'd totally gut the former studios tour / Cars Roadtrip and put in a near carbon copy of DCA's Radiator Springs. Roadtrip in its current form is the worst ride in the complex by a country mile. Radiator Springs would be a brilliant addition to the park and would also give space to potentially use the Quatre Ralley ride as well as an e-ticket in Radiator Springs Racers. Even the decades old re-themed petrol tanker from the studios tour could remain in a static form as a throwback that would please lots of fans of the old tour. If you didn't want to utilise that ride in Radiator Springs, it could receive a re-theme to penguins and become a Mary Poppins themed flat ride in your Mary Poppins mini area based on Burt dancing with the penguins in the Jolly Holiday sequence. I'd personally love to fit a bigger Cherry Tree Lane area into Disney's Hollywood Adventure somewhere, utilising design work that has already been done for the cancelled EPCOT project, but finding space to bring a Soarin' style attraction to DHA where we fly on umbrellas from Cherry Tree Lane all across Europe. I would personally LOVE to see a Monster's Inc area brought to DLP with one major change from WDW - I'd theme it to MU rather than Monstropolis. The elegant buildings of the scare school would fit in better with the European tastes I think and would look amazing on the shores of the lake. It would be perfect there for a meet and greet for Mike and Sully. The door coaster could still work in this area, though I wonder if there's a better and more creative series of attractions that would revolve around the Scare Games themselves? I know it was in MI, but I'd be tempted to place a Harryhausen's restaurant in the MU area.
Awesome video! Loved the Sanctum idea, it solves the "can't have 2 HQ's" problem we discussed in DIScord. And I'd love to see that Nemo miniland idea come to reality...
I would add D23 projects announced but make them exclusive to WDS: Monstropolis (instead of Lion King), Pandora (instead of Frozen), and Cars Off Road Project to replace the current Cars mess. Also, I’d retheme Crush’s Coaster to Lilo & Stitch Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride, retheme ToT to Guardians (I know it’s tough but will expand Avenger’s Campus). For entertainment I’d move PhilharMagic to WDS entry area, add Rogers: The Musical to Avengers Campus, and build Turtle Talk with Crush in Toon Studios.
I really like a lot of what you've suggested here. One extra thing I would do is to enhance Ratatouille to be more like Zootopia Hot Pursuit Shanghai. That ride really feels like a huge step up from Ratatouille. For example, the cars on Zooptopia move onto small moving platforms - this would be ideal for the screen scenes in Rat, as the movement of the vehicles is just so poor. Also, blend the screens in with the floor, and project onto a small portion of the floor. This really enhances the illusion on Zootopia!
I absolutely agree that Ratatouille should get an upgrade. Seeing the ride is now permanently 2D, adding more set pieces and especially floor projections should be done. The 3D glasses limited the guest vision and could perhaps "hide" a few of the problems but not anymore... I personally prefer it like this but something could and should be done
I’m hopeful that Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai continue to tell Imagineering that they want and deserve their own unique attractions. Because let’s be real, we don’t need a Frozen/Toy Story land in every park.
We need to get a petition started for them to change the name to Hollywood Adventure, it's such a perfect fit for the front half of the park, and it's a billion times better than the God awful Adventure World 😆
So many excellent improvements. All I think Disney should do. They really need to change the name from adventure world🤮, it's awful and Hollywood adventure is so much more fitting. Runaway railway changes and park placement were perfection. Nemo expansion and avengers campus changes are wonderful as is everything else. They do need to move magic carpets out, it really doesn't go. An inside out ride would fit much better. But please in future, no more heart attack moments, the reskin joke of tower of terror was almost too much for me to take 😂
great video as always, however I have 2 main reproaches : first, this isnt really important but putting a meet and greet in place of toy story store (or whatever its name is) as said at 12:48 seems useless, considering a new meet and greet is in construction near the new woody and jessie statues, according to several concept arts. Finally, I think you really underestimated the food problem at walt disney studios. The park really, REALLY lacks of restaurants. With Studio 1 being remade, nowadays there is 1 buffet (PYM kitchen), 1 fast-food like (Stark Factory) and 1 """""luxurious""""" restaurant (Ratatouille). This is just not enough, and the park is adding a lot of stands and ridiculous take away restaurants, but they really need to build new real restaurants. The reopening of the world premiere restaurant this year will for sure help, plus the new adventure way restaurant next year, but i think we still need more restaurants, considering the park will grow. For example i think you could have made a new table restaurant in this new nemo land, considering this part of the park doest have one thats all i wanted to say, greetings from france !
Unfortunately the concept arts are wrong, there's no M&G going in the expanded area of TSPL, hence the change! You bring a very important issue with the restaurants! I believe it'll be a lot better with Hollywood Gardens, the Regal View Restaurant and the Frozen one (plus, I believe LK will have one also). I'll def add one or two "big" restaurants in the second part though!
@@themainstreetnews didnt know about the canceled Toy Story M&G, my bad For the restaurants as you say the new restaurants will partially solve the problem, but there still will be a lack in my opinion, if you consider the 1st park's lands have up to 4 restaurants
I had two options drawn up, personally I preferred the second one: Disney Cinemagic Worlds/ Park however for the sake of marketing and realism, I went for Hollywood Adventure…
Very well made video. I'm just not enthusiastic about Pixar or Marvel. I would much rather celebrate Disney's in-house productions, particularly live-action film and television.
Thank you for making this!! While this is “armchair” Imagineering, your presentation is more true to the design of Walt Disney than what the Bob Iger Company pushes today. Like seriously, the name “Disney Adventure World” is such a dumb name.
I would love to see Runaway Railway and a Nemo mini land. But I would much rather prefer a brand new original ride for Paris... but that will probably never happen 😅
I love the Walt show idea and think the special Paris Runaway Railway is a good idea. Also the third nane change I understand. Here's my selfish pitch, especially considered the recent news, Muppet land with a new animatronic Muppets show.
The need to bring cars spin attraction near to the cars tram tour and update the tour with more sets than cars is more a small land. Add a restaurant and store.
There are 3 Avengers Campuses, (Anaheim, Paris, Hong Kong), it seems Anaheim gets a lot of heat for being small and shoehorned into DCA, while Hong Kong is rarely discussed. In this video you state that the Paris version is very popular and you want to add a new area to enhance its popularity. In your opinion, what was done in Paris to create the fervor that this land is generating? I do feel the stage show that was presented in the Park before the land was open had a lot to do with integrating the characters to this park. Is there something culturaly that resonates with the Marvel characters? Is it the Marvel hotel that adds to the land?
Avengers Campus is highly popular because it’s the first “large” scale immersive land based on a franchise the resort has seen + because Marvel is highly popular in Europe. But the land is quite lacking, even compared to California’s, its walkable area is smaller and has less things to do (no Sanctum, no SpiderMan StuntTronic). It’s also a reskin of an existing land, all the buildings and rides were adapted from the old Backlot except WEB, which saw the demolition of the attraction that once stood there and was built from the ground up. There’s a lot of potential and more needs to be added in the future, just like some of the ideas I shared!
I agree that Adventure World is a poor name for any park, esp Disney. I think the park should be based on animation, after all, thats how Disney started, and could be called Disney’s World of Animation (or along those lines). They already have a lot of rides, lands and shows based on animation, the odd balls being Avengers Campus and Hollywood Tower of Terror. I like the idea of Mickey's Runaway Railway but instead of a new ride, I would retheme HToT to Mickey's Catastrophe Hotel I don't like Marvel and IMO Avengers Campus is uninspiring and had little to no atmosphere. I would get rid of the entire land and in its place bring in Zooptopia Land, just like what they have in Shanghai. I'm surprised you never mentioned the mediocre Cars 'Catastrophe Canyon'. It is a clone of a ride they made over 30 years ago and takes up a huge amount of space. I would flatten in and in its place make a ride based on my favourite all time Disney/Pixar animation, Coco. Making a ride based on the Land of the Dead would be spectacular. Instead of the Lion King Log Flume ride TBC, how about one themed to Moana instead. I think you would have more to go off and be visually more appealing. You could easily add an Encanto attraction, just like what they are building in AK. And how about a slot car ride from Wreck It Ralf, based on the Sugar Rush car chase. So much scope for creativity and immagination...
That's one of the two names I proposed last year before we knew about the official name. I chose this because between the two, it's the one that I see Disney picking, but I really love Cinemagic Park
Okay, first my MAJOR complaint: 1 million percent NO to the Rod Serling idea. Rod Serling is dead. Leave him alone. Seriously. Plus, he would NEVER have allowed his image to be used for something he wasn't creatively involved in. The man was famous for his twist endings, yet the original ToT storyline had NO ending. It's all setup. As a theme-park ride, Guardians is far more fun AND it tells a complete story. Yes, the ugly Guardians building wouldn't fit in with the Hollywood theme, so keep it as is and DON'T MAKE MAKING ROD SERLING SPIN IN HIS GRAVE! With that out of the way, I like your Hollywood Adventure idea. I'd even spread it to the US: Disney Hollywood Adventure California, Disney Hollywood Adventure Florida (Orlando?), Disney Hollywood Adventure Paris... Nice idea bringing Walt into an attraction as there are no Walt-related attractions in the entire park. Some Walt-era characters are featured in the shows, and apparently the English park area will feature Peter Pan and Mary Poppins, but still. When you mentioned the Pixar Studios entrance, I was hit with a genius idea. The areas of the park are already mostly situated by their Studio. All the Pixar Animation Studios stuff is together. All the Marvel Studios stuff is together. Frozen and The Lion King are both Disney Animation Studios. So why not theme each area - at least the entrance to each land - to different studios in the Disney portfolio? The "Broadway" and "West End" ideas make no sense with the story they're selling with the new World Premiere. Instead, we can exit into where the magic is made. On the left is the entrance to Marvel Studios. On the right, Pixar. Straight ahead is Disney Animation Studios. Or something. The live theaters are making it hard to theme properly. They could switch the big shows and put TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure in the current Mickey & the Magician theater, and you can do all your Pixar ideas. With Mickey over on the other side, this could be Walt Disney Studios, which was the original name of the company. This could be for the Walt-era IPs, of which there won't be many. But your show idea would fit here. And the world NEEDS a Mary Poppins ride. (And not that teacups crap they almost pulled at Epcot.) Just plop the Brothers sculpture here and make everything match the Old Hollywood look of the Tower of Terror. Which would totally become Guardians now that the current theme doesn't belong to any studio. (Fox has many horror franchises, but they may be a bit much for a Disney audience.) Keep the theming, just make a Guardians themed building in Avengers Campus for the queue. Nobody needs to know they are in a Hollywood-themed tower. (When the doors open to the outside world in the DCA version, Rocket calls it "thematically inconsistent". Works here.)
Your Nemo ideas are great, though why not a Space 220 style restaurant, only the screens are aquariums? And why just Turtle Talk? Why can't people talk to Dory? PEOPLE WANT TO TALK TO DORY!!! "Dory's Stories". You're welcome, Disney! I think the Toy Story area is hot garbage, but nothing can really happen here until they up the ride count, so I agree with your idea to keep it as is. But it really needs a ride that's not a flat ride. I don't need to see another Runaway Railway, especially not in a park with Ratatouille. So I guess a Toy Story version of the new Peter Pan ride? Ehh, why not? Every Toy Story movie ends with a chase scene. And I think this thing has throughput, which this park needs. I'm going to be controversial here and say expand the Cars area. Yeah, Road Trip is stupid, but put a copy of Radiator Springs in the middle of it and it's less stupid. Not building Radiator Springs Raceway will make it a much-cheaper addition, and this place needs some immersion. Move the current Cars ride over here just to keep the ride count up. Better yet, build a Cars Autopia. (That thing going into Magic Kingdom is going to be too big and costly for this park.) Just give us Radiator Springs with an actual mountain-sized berm hiding Cars-tastrophe Canyon. Nothing like that sad, tiny Willy's Butte by the Cars ride. Your ideas for Avengers Campus are solid, though let's not get too excited about DCA's Avengers ride. It's also using that Peter Pan ride system, which originated with Universal's Spider-Man ride from 1999. Yes, Spider-Man is one of the biggest properties in the Disney portfolio and they can't do anything with him beyond putting him in already-existing ride systems, including one HE IS ALREADY IN! Personally, I would want to move away from that connection as people constantly refer to the Peter Pan ride as "using the Spider-Man ride system", and that will only get worse when it actually has Spider-Man in it. So give it to Toy Story. Put the entrance for the Avengers Campus theater on Adventure Bay and ignore this area for awhile. Placemaking the rest of the park is more important than adding to the land that already has placemaking. But do the Flight Force improvements NOW. Having specific Studios as lands works for the future as well. If they want to build Star Wars, then Lucasfilm can be the next land. (This would also allow them to mix up the trilogies.) If they want to build Avatar, then it's 20th Century Studios (or Lightstorm). This also allows them to do The Simpsons! (Please don't do to the Simpsons what you've done to the Muppets, Disney!) I think you've done a good job being realistic with budgets here. Especially after all the money that will be spent on the current additions, updates and the future Lion King land. That said, this park will most likely be ignored for a good decade following all this construction. Meanwhile, Parc Asterix will keep adding attractions and growing its attendance (it's already beating the Studios park).
@@kevinbhieey9188Why does everyone hate the Toy Story area? I think it’s the best land in the entire park. The idea of a cars themed Autopia sounds great and I was originally going to add that in my comment but I replaced cars road trip with Toy Story mania instead
@DisneylandParisLover The Toy Story area just looks tacky and lazy. It's all decoration, like a rich person throwing a Toy Story-themed birthday party for their spoiled brat. There's no cleverness here, something that can be found all over the Toy Story Mania queue. Also, too many flat rides. Not that Disneyland doesn't have a history of flat rides - Dumbo, the Carrousel (Disney's spelling, not mine) and the Tea Cups have been in the original park forever. But they aren't all right next to each other. That's what they do at "amusement parks". (And it's done better at some of them. Camp Snoopy at Knotts has way more flat rides, but it's still way better than this.) At least there's SOME theming here. The mess of flat rides at California Adventure is far more horrific. I avoided Toy Story Mania because it's the same ride system as the Spider-Man ride. Building the Toy Story version would make that version look even worse. While there's a fight amongst all the flat rides for "Worst Ride at DCA", WEB Slingers is often in the mix due to it being more confusing and having to move your arms so much. I think Al's Toy Barn would do a lot for immersion purposes and to make everything look less cheap. The Decoration Aesthetic just needs to be less "everywhere". It still needs another building to make it feel less Camp Woody and more Pixar-worthy. I'd move the Slinky Dog over to the Al's Barn area you proposed and plop a long, narrow building right in the ride's current area. You're absolutely right, the Paris mini-land seems one sided, and a building here - with false facades on the Ratatouille side - would do a lot for both lands. It's probably not enough room for a decent ride, so meet n greets? A better food experience? At least better-looking than Woody's Lunch Box. Forky's Food Fair? (You're welcome, Disney!) I'd also turn the whole thing into three mini-lands. (This was the plan when they built the land in Orlando. The middle area was supposed to be Andy's backyard, with Buzz's space-themed area on one side and Woody's western-themed area on the other. Thanks to Iger's budget cuts, this didn't happen.) They simply need to expand the theming around each ride, making each theme immersive. Tinkertoys and Christmas lights should NOT be the features you remember. (Do NOT get me started on those dominos!) Just be clever about it! Disney doesn't shut up about "IMAGINATION" but this area has very little imagination. For example, around the Parachute Drop, dump the Christmas bulbs and put up more watchtowers with some searchlight lighting. Maybe a green plastic tank that shoots water randomly at guests. (Or bubbles in the colder seasons.) The Lincoln Logs work with all the green, so make the fences out of those. In fact, I think my biggest problem here is all the greenery. Regular-sized trees are not adding a thing to the toy ambience. Get rid of them and "plant" some plastic trees. Like, super-obvious fake Lego-style trees. Add more photo ops. One of the features of the movies is Andy using what he has to create grand scenarios for his toys. So put more toys into these scenarios. And then put different "mascots" in each mini-land. I'm fine with Gigantic Buzz and Gigantic Woody at the entrances, so take this opportunity to feature the secondary toys. Make Hamm a general. Make Rex a Private that built a tent - poorly - because of his tiny arms. Honestly, I picked the Army theme because it was the easiest to improve. Move Slinky Dog over to your Al's Toy Barn location and what's the theme? Western? Put Jessie in the middle of the ride trying to lasso Slinky Dog? It could work. Add in a few more Western buildings and some plastic cacti, and it could be a thing. I'd take ideas directly from the movie: Mr & Mrs Potato Head and the Aliens are all outlaws, each with an eyepatch. That eyepatch bit is more clever than ANYTHING going on in this land. RC Racers, though? Keep this the "Andy's Backyard" theme, I guess. I could probably tolerate the Tinkertoys in this small area. (But the dominos have to GO!) Add in the remaining characters CLEVERLY. Who's left? Bo Peep? Eh, the Army area needs more characters. Make her the General and make Hamm a fighter pilot (he is in spaceship form as Evil Dr Porkchop). I guess this is the perfect spot for the newer characters then. Make it Bonnie's Backyard. Forky's Food Fair can face this mini-land! I'm not super proud of any of this, but it's still an improvement. And it wouldn't cost that much!
What really bothers me is that both of the new attractions are water-based boat rides. Did nobody think about this? Both rides, placed side by side, will have essentially the same vibe. Sure, the Lion King ride is a log flume, while Frozen is a musical, reversing Shoot-the-Chute dark ride, but at the core, it’s basically the same concept. That lack of variety is unacceptable. Why not give us something fresh and innovative? It feels like nobody in Imagineering thought this through. Where’s the creativity? Where’s the intent? Imagineering with purpose seems to be a thing of the past at Disney.
I think it comes down to two things. First of all, adapting a story to a boat ride has been proven successful many times before, just last year with Tangled and Frozen in Tokyo, for example. Secondly, there’s a serious lack of water rides in the resort, especially in WDS where there is none, so while they’re both boat rides, they’re quite different. There’s also the fact that DLP has no ride where you can get wet, something clearly missing during the summer days. It is funny, though, how every ride in this expansion is either a boat ride or simulates a boat (Tangled).
@@themainstreetnews - Besides, Disneyland Paris not having high-quality boat rides. The boat systems are actually the most reliable ride technology, as they can handle the highest capacity without breaking down.

Awesome video! Loved the Sanctum idea, it solves the "can't have 2 HQ's" problem we discussed in DIScord. And I'd love to see that Nemo miniland idea come to reality...
Exactly! That discussion definitely helped me out with finding what to do there!
8:02 Another option that will be great is a Soarin around the world in that space and connecting to Ratatouille and the park will look more cohesive.
I'm leaving Soarin for somewhere else in the future!
I want a Lion King themed animal carousel with different Pridelands animals!
I would love that
I would add D23 projects announced but make them exclusive to WDS: Monstropolis (instead of Lion King), Pandora (instead of Frozen), and Cars Off Road Project to replace the current Cars mess.
I love this whole video series but its kinda sad that none of this will come true🥲
I would give everything I have to see such an update for Crush.
Awesome vid.
Thanks!
I love your map! May I know what software you used to make it?
Thanks! I used Sketchbook in my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil
I’m hopeful that Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai continue to tell Imagineering that they want and deserve their own unique attractions.
Because let’s be real, we don’t need a Frozen/Toy Story land in every park.
I need a Toy Story land in every park lol
Nice ideas
Thank you! Cheers!
They should've changed the park name to 'CineMagique Parc' or something similar.. DAW just doesn't stick..
We need to get a petition started for them to change the name to Hollywood Adventure, it's such a perfect fit for the front half of the park, and it's a billion times better than the God awful Adventure World 😆
Indeed the little girl version in the tower of terror isweird and too much, let them bring back the orginal version please
But please in future, no more heart attack moments, the reskin joke of tower of terror was almost too much for me to take 😂
Yeah flying carpets should move to Adventureland and inside out emotional whirlwind can take its place
hahaha, glad to hear I got someone with that lol
great video as always, however I have 2 main reproaches : first, this isnt really important but putting a meet and greet in place of toy story store (or whatever its name is) as said at 12:48 seems useless, considering a new meet and greet is in construction near the new woody and jessie statues, according to several concept arts.
For example i think you could have made a new table restaurant in this new nemo land, considering this part of the park doest have one
thats all i wanted to say, greetings from france !
@@themainstreetnews didnt know about the canceled Toy Story M&G, my bad
For the restaurants as you say the new restaurants will partially solve the problem, but there still will be a lack in my opinion, if you consider the 1st park's lands have up to 4 restaurants
loved the video! and loved the idea of renaming the park, adventure world doesn't work.but i HATE the name "hollywood" lmao
I don't even want to think how old I will be in 2040.
I would love to see Runaway Railway and a Nemo mini land. But I would much rather prefer a brand new original ride for Paris... but that will probably never happen 😅
I guess the new lion king ride is going to be new and original. It might be similar to splash mountain in ways but it will have a different layout
@DisneylandParisLover I mean something completely new. Not IP related 🙂
Spot on about the name. Adventure world is not good.
What did you think of the new Disney Tales of magic show btw?
I'm a very big fan of the show. The tech is amazing, the projections awesome the soundtrack incredible!
I love the Walt show idea and think the special Paris Runaway Railway is a good idea.
Also the third nane change I understand.
Here's my selfish pitch, especially considered the recent news, Muppet land with a new animatronic Muppets show.
Muppets would absolutely rock!
@themainstreetnews it would be so great, do a proper Muppet show.
The need to bring cars spin attraction near to the cars tram tour and update the tour with more sets than cars is more a small land. Add a restaurant and store.
Cars Road Trip? Where we’re going, we don’t no Cars Road Trip…
Bring Cars Quatre Roues near to Cars Road trip and make a mini cars land. Give Cars Road Trip more sets. And add a Shop and Restaurant.
In my plans Cars Road Trip is no more, it's getting replaced with something else but rest assured that we'll find a place for the spinner ride!
I like the idea of Mickey's Runaway Railway but instead of a new ride, I would retheme HToT to Mickey's Catastrophe Hotel
I don't like Marvel and IMO Avengers Campus is uninspiring and had little to no atmosphere.
Disney’s World of Animation is such an incredible name!
Do orlando parks too !
That could take a while haha! Would be pretty fun though!
Maybe For The reimagining of Walt Disney Studios I Can Named "Disney Cinemagic Park" For the Rest i Can Keep the park Just The Way it is
That's one of the two names I proposed last year before we knew about the official name.
(Please don't do to the Simpsons what you've done to the Muppets, Disney!)
I think you've done a good job being realistic with budgets here.
(You're welcome, Disney!)
I'd also turn the whole thing into three mini-lands.
@@kevinbhieey9188 Good ideas
I think after lion king we will probably get another 10 years of nothing
I wouldn't be so sure....
Honestly this is great apart from the idea of them changing the name again. This isn't going to happen, accept it now.
They haven't changed the name just yet, wouldn't be the first time an announced *something* is changed before becoming a reality.
@@themainstreetnews lol I didn't even think about Tangled! Spinning boats!! haha!
Boats, boats everywhere!
@@themainstreetnews - Besides, Disneyland Paris not having high-quality boat rides. The boat systems are actually the most reliable ride technology, as they can handle the highest capacity without breaking down.
