I have the upmost respect for Mr Shuttlesworth BUT, we are OBVIOUSLY getting VERY close to something BIG happening OR, SOMEONE has went through an AWEFULLY LOT OF TROUBLE to make it look like there is. I’ve never seen this gentleman before. I just saw a YT shorts from him that says American is not in the Bible , so I’ve come to check out his channel. In the comments are people being in love with what he is saying, but it’s incorrect. The Bible says that it is the Lord who calls pastors, prophets, teachers, etc.. Has God called him to be a teacher? These people are being misled, at least in this video. Also people need to read the Bible for themselves. The Holy Spirit is the teacher, listen to Him. Revelation gives us clues as to who she is, note her attire: purple, scarlet, adorned with gold, precious stone, and pearls, in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and uncleanness of her harlotry. Using the method, Scriptures interpret Scriptures; for no one has authority to speculate or form their own opinions on God’s word, not even Jesus, His Prophets, Holy Spirit , and apostles did. The apostles, as in Titus 1:1, including John. Note John 16:12-15. Also Rev 1:3, …. The time is near, meaning in John’s time. Know that within the book of Revelation the events are repetitive, so Rev 17 & 18 is showing the judgment of the great harlot, see Isaiah 1:21, How has the faithful city become a harlot? I have filled it with judgement, righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers, referred to Judah & Jerusalem, see Isaiah 1:1-3+, Mother of Harlots:: see Hosea 1:1-2+ cross ref with Deut 31:16, after Moses departure this people-Israelites, will rise up and go a-whoring with foreign gods of the land they are entering, and forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them. Yes, when you connect the two Woes of Eze 16:23 with the two Woes of Rev 18:10, 16 and 19, and the Woes of Mt 23 seems to point to Jerusalem Jerusalem. I think the scarlet robe of the women Rev 17 indicates the blood of the prophets and saints of Rev 16:1-7. Seems to all connect to Isaiah 1:14-18. How the faithful city has become a harlots Isa 1:21. God will refine his people when he gathers all her lovers in judgment Eze 16:35-42.

Why do most theologians separate Revelation 17 and 18? Revelation 17:7 tells us that they cannot be separated. V.7 tells us that mystery Babylon is going to be explained, but that does not take place until chapter 18.

Daniel wrote in chapter 7 verses 8, 20 & 24 that exactly three of the ten kingdoms that arose from Rome would fall before the Antichrist came to power. The third kingdom to fall was the Vandal Kingdom in 534. The fourth was the Ostrogoth Kingdom in 554. The pope received political power in Rome when the Kings of Italy (7th king in Revelation 17) left the city in 538. The Bible says the Antichrist would be the type of eighth king to rule in Rome, a prophecy the papacy fulfilled in 538. The papacy held temporal power for 1,260 years (538-1798), which is the length of the Great Tribulation under Daniel's day-year principle (one day in prophecy equals one year in its fulfillment). There is no future Antichrist, but there is a present Antichrist, and his followers' names are not written in the Book of Life.

I think John wrote revelation much earlier than 70 or 95 A D. He mentioned nothing of Paul the age of grace. He mentioned nothing of the temple being destroyed. I believe it was written before Jesus called out paul in approximately 40 A.D.
Rev 17:9 . The seven heads are seven mountains ( not hills ) on which the woman sits. Each head represents a great empire. Sitting on many water mean sitting on many peoples. Meaning the woman is in control.

If the Babylon of Recelation 17 was the original Babylon then there would be no need for the Babylon to be designated “mystery” in Scripture. “Mystery” in scripture denotes something that was hidden in the past but is now revealed. That really couldn’t apply to the original Babylon but is used. As a symbol of something or someplace that hasn’t been revealed yet.

I have the upmost respect for Mr Shuttlesworth BUT, we are OBVIOUSLY getting VERY close to something BIG happening OR, SOMEONE has went through an AWEFULLY LOT OF TROUBLE to make it look like there is. And to think and/or say that America is NOT Babylon, is being in denial, likely from a person that resides in America (which i do too, by the way, Central Kentucky, born and currently live)...but, if you have been keeping up very VERY CLOSELY with world events and biblical prophecies that have been unfolding over the past several years, then you would realize that America MUST BE, IN FACT the place the bible implies is Babylon, and NOT just New York but the entire country of America. There are multiple multiple things and factors that imply that it is true. To prove it, ill list a few of the big ones:
#1. America fits the PERFECT word for word description of Babylon as listed in the bible. It CANT be the Roman Catholic church because they have no ports for all the merchant ships to set afar out in the ocean and mourn while ashes and smoke rise up from its SOON destruction.
#2. Russia has REPEATLY been WARNING all countries of the world NOT to help the country they are having conflict with currently and America with its NATO group, has done nothing BUT bug and pick at that warning by doing many MANY things everyone was told not too.
#3. A little known FACT is that Russia was publically seen burning an effogy of a mock version of the tower of Babel...a VERY VERY OBVIOUS indication that they WOULD BE THE ONE TO DESTROY Babylon/America. And some people have said it would be New York only, BUT that is WRONG because Russia doesnt have a problem with ONLY New York...it has a problem with the entire country government of America.
#4. America has held the position of the worlds largest superpower for the longest time over the past century, and WHEN its destroyed it will make the largest impact on the rest of the entire world when this happens so they will fall right in line and go along with the antichrist systemthat takes over afterwards.

Hey tiff- there’s a guy named Rick Pearson and his ministry is called Prophecy USA. His whole TV show is based on the premise that USA is mystery Babylon. There’s a good argument for that. He’s not a flake but I don’t put much stock in it either.

I have seen persons on this forum speculating the identity of “mystery Babylon.”
Based on my understanding, it is Babylon The Great, The Mother of Harlots, and The Abominations of the Earth; the name of the great harlot is a mystery.
Revelation gives us clues as to who she is, note her attire: purple, scarlet, adorned with gold, precious stone, and pearls, in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and uncleanness of her harlotry.
Another clue: She is sitting on the many waters; was drunken from the blood of the holy ones, and from the blood of the witnesses of Jesus, with whom the kings of the earth committed harlotry/whoredom; and those inhabiting the earth were made drunk from the wine of her harlotry/whoredom; stick a pin.
Using the method, Scriptures interpret Scriptures; for no one has authority to speculate or form their own opinions on God’s word, not even Jesus, His Prophets, Holy Spirit , and apostles did.

We must know and understand that the prophecy in Revelation portrays the destruction of Jerusalem and it’s temple which happened in 70AD, as Jesus said, in Luke 19:41-44, Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 21.
We cannot divide the prophecy to make it fit in 21st C and beyond.
Note the context of Revelation in Rev 1:1-3, it is what God gave to Jesus to show to His servants, see Deut 18:15-22, John 12:49 -50, Acts 3:21-23, who are His servants? The apostles, as in Titus 1:1, including John.
Note John 16:12-15. Also Rev 1:3, …. The time is near, meaning in John’s time.
Know that within the book of Revelation the events are repetitive, so Rev 17 & 18 is showing the judgment of the great harlot, see Isaiah 1:21, How has the faithful city become a harlot? I have filled it with judgement, righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers, referred to Judah & Jerusalem, see Isaiah 1:1-3+,
Mother of Harlots:: see Hosea 1:1-2+ cross ref with Deut 31:16, after Moses departure this people-Israelites, will rise up and go a-whoring with foreign gods of the land they are entering, and forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.

Yes, when you connect the two Woes of Eze 16:23 with the two Woes of Rev 18:10, 16 and 19, and the Woes of Mt 23 seems to point to Jerusalem Jerusalem. I think the scarlet robe of the women Rev 17 indicates the blood of the prophets and saints of Rev 16:1-7. Seems to all connect to Isaiah 1:14-18. How the faithful city has become a harlots Isa 1:21. God will refine his people when he gathers all her lovers in judgment Eze 16:35-42.

- “five are fallen’ the first 5 have lost their Dominion.
- “and one is” this is from 2016 to 2020. That is TRUMP who carries Gadreel, he has Dominion.
- “and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. This is BIDEN. Biden carries Apollyon. Both Apollyon and False Prophet will be taken SOON, before his end of office.
This is how we know Rev 17:10-11 is for TODAY and not hundreds of years ago like you’re being told by False Prophets.
”AND ONE IS” … remember it, it’s IMPORTANT. It “pinpoints” the Antichrist also. Was it supposed too, perhaps?

- “and is of the seven” means he is one of the 7 KINGS of Rev 17:10
- This tells us that KING 8 is one of the 7 NAMES. Kings 1 thru 4 are DEAD. King 5 is not running for office. King 7 will be taken SOON. That leaves KING 6 or TRUMP.

Why do most theologians separate Revelation 17 and 18? Revelation 17:7 tells us that they cannot be separated. V.7 tells us that mystery Babylon is going to be explained, but that does not take place until chapter 18.

Daniel wrote in chapter 7 verses 8, 20 & 24 that exactly three of the ten kingdoms that arose from Rome would fall before the Antichrist came to power. The third kingdom to fall was the Vandal Kingdom in 534. The fourth was the Ostrogoth Kingdom in 554. The pope received political power in Rome when the Kings of Italy (7th king in Revelation 17) left the city in 538. The Bible says the Antichrist would be the type of eighth king to rule in Rome, a prophecy the papacy fulfilled in 538.
The papacy held temporal power for 1,260 years (538-1798), which is the length of the Great Tribulation under Daniel's day-year principle (one day in prophecy equals one year in its fulfillment).
There is no future Antichrist, but there is a present Antichrist, and his followers' names are not written in the Book of Life.

I think John wrote revelation much earlier than 70 or 95 A D. He mentioned nothing of Paul the age of grace. He mentioned nothing of the temple being destroyed. I believe it was written before Jesus called out paul in approximately 40 A.D.

Time will tell. Respectfully dont think his conclusion is spot on. Sounds inaccurate to me on the basis that old babylon isnt merely just a trade hub city but representive of a collective kingdom! There are No 7 seas mentioned in the book of Revelation, and its unlikely to be Iran, or even Iraq as the old babylon site doesnt sit across 7 seas anyway does it.
The bible references the Anti(fake)Christ World Saviour Beast as rising "out of many waters", and on which the harlot rides (the harlot being an entire 'religious' institution that glories in unfaithfulness against our 1 and only true and living God with the utmost reliance/dependency on that world saviour).
Well, we are forewarned that such world dominating Babylonian Kingdom + Religious Harlotry filled with lying smooth prophecies will set up stage together soon.. and then the end of all things will come. If the Babylon of Recelation 17 was the original Babylon then there would be no need for the Babylon to be designated “mystery” in Scripture. “Mystery” in scripture denotes something that was hidden in the past but is now revealed. That really couldn’t apply to the original Babylon but is used. As a symbol of something or someplace that hasn’t been revealed yet.
