I have the Yamaha flip on my plus and works ok,shorter than the one you have....I find original tyres and brake pads ok. With the screen angle, mine also had a few small air bubbles which I couldn't remove near the edges so just put up with it, however they have now mysteriously vanished so all good
@@fjrboy thanks fella. It’s great to hear everyone’s experiences of what’s good, what’s not, what’s worked for them, etc. Helpful for new owners (like me) to see what’s normal, what’s not and the like. I’ve sent off for the MRA Vario Touring Screen (recommended by a viewer) which is shorter but doesn’t create turbulence (allegedly!) so I’m going to try that one next. The reviews I’ve seen and read are positive. We’ll see. Whatever it is, it doesn’t have to be perfect, but finding a best fit for my 6’2” frame before embarking on longer journeys is definitely desirable. Yamaha flip sounds interesting. So many choices! But good to have options. 😃🤙 Thanks again for your input. Appreciated 👌
Hi Marcus, Many thanks for uploading the video. I’m considering changing my 23 plate XSR900 for one of these, and so your feedback is appreciated 👍🏻 There’s a number of Yamaha’s that don’t meet the new Euro 5 regs and so Yamaha will have to pre-register them prior to the end of the year; so there’s some bargains to be had. (Especially for those considering an MT10).
Getting there with the running in. I was hoping to put the Yamaha side bags on the MT07, but due to it having the tail tidy, it’s not fittable, am told😢. Might have to go back to standard. Bike sounds great 😊
@@weemark67 Nice. 👌 I’ve not been riding for a few weeks as I’ve been up in Glasgow, then Jersey and then Inverness working away from home recently. I’ve put the heated comfort seat on the Tracer today, the weather is shocking here, so I’m using the time to fit some accessories that I’ve got for it. Have you got the standard tail for the MT07? I’ve got one if you need it.
@ couple of years roughly but luckily traffic helps slow down along there normally. It’s the one at the end of the dual carriageway past the noted speed camera mounted on traffic lights.. it used to be a red light jump camera however slippery sods changed it to dual purpose speed as well. I got 3 points and fine doing 44 in a 30 08:30 in morning.. I didn’t know it was there.
