Alessia Cara Tricky, too! "Hell Is 'Round The Corner". I love Portishead's use of it, but for me, Tricky's flip is the one that gets deep in my bones. I'm really diggin' on what you've done with it, as well, just upon the first listen. Gonna listen about a thousand more times now.

This song is amazing. Listening to it helps remind me I'm not the only one going through a rough patch. I guess if you need to get over something or someone, you just gotta learn how to compartmentalize all of your feelings about the situation and do the only things that make you happy, no one else. Eventually these things will lead to a better life and better people, it just sucks because sometimes its way easier to just sit around and mope, feeling sorry for yourself. In this world full of impermanence, why cheat yourself out of experiencing everything this amazing life has to offer just because someone or something had a negative effect on you. Take that as a lesson and become a better person from it, that way you can possibly help someone else having a hard time and maybe, just maybe find true happiness. Stay strong, and keep your head up!

Reminds me of my college days, and being dragged out to house parties by friends. I'd usually seek out that one person in the corner of the room who felt the same as me (would rather be at home or anywhere but there, probably equally introverted), and have more deeper conversations with them--maybe trying to find somewhere that isn't as obnoxiously loud.

This is sampled from an old Isaac Hayes song. Portishead also sampled that same song for one of their tunes. That being said, I like what Cara did with it---this was actually based on a party she went to, and decided she didn't want to be there. So she wrote this from experience---I love it, too.
