Food review club goto purple flame around the corner from the regency club and it’s another awesome Indian food place with a Kenyan influence it’s my goto place for food.I know the owner very very well and he would love for you guys to go there and I can get that arranged for you.🙌🏽🙌🏽
They went downhill imo, around the time they increased their prices..... Well, at least for takeaway. We used to go a lot 2-3 years back but it's not been the same for a while.
Next time you go, ask for the curries to be mild. Will be less intense and also always ask for yogurt to take the edge off the spice. Always order the yogurt with Indian restaurants . Regency is a classic place to go too, well done lads 👍🏽. Pints take the edge off too lol

Check out the Prince of Wales in Southall. Known for the mixed grill. You can thank me later. The chops are legendary ....people travel for them .

Great video and amazing location. I’m originally from down that way. Just to help you identify what ‘okra’ is, it’s a flowing plant that’s actually related to cotton and hibiscus. It’s known as lady fingers in this country, Bindi in Indian restaurants. Bindi is a must as a side with a curry.

You mentioned wanting to do reviews in Africa, you have to check out Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania and Zanzibar, fantastic food that's a fusion of African, Asian and Arab and fantastic scenery to top it off.

Pankaj is a legend! I've had weirdly mixed results on the meals I've had here. Only once was it excellent (Mark Ronson was on the next table so, hey ho, maybe more effort?), but most other times it ranged from average to good with a sprinkling of great in between. But Pankaj has been there through it all being a top dude.

Regency is a stalwart of North West London Indian restaurants... I've seen many come and go around the area. When they open, they are packed, but then after a few years, the queues dwindle, and the next big place opens and then it closes.. Regency has ridden these shifts in eating habits of the East African Asian community around the area... Because of the quality of its food and the tenderness of its hospitality... Great place and I can't wait for my next visit...

@@irenedavo3768 I wouldn't know... I've been there a few times, and generally order a few starters, a couple of mains and a side of naans and rice... They definitely went all out... I hope that they finished it, as I hate food waste... Especially when it tastes that good!

Okra aka Ladies fingers. Is not a root veg, but rather a veg that grows on the branch, similar or like a chilli plant. They are wonderful. FYI, some people have mentioned yoghurt to ease the pain of the spices, you can also order “ Raita “ yoghurt watered down with wheat flavoured niblets to add to the flavour with a savoury taste.
Manthan on Maddox Street, Mayfair. If you want the best Lamb Chops you will ever have, just visit this place. I am a Regency regular and this place blows the Regency ones out of the water. Mind you they are £11 per chop. lol. Rest of the food is great too. A very different twist on Indian food and definitely worth a visit.

I have never been to Regency but am a regular at Jamavar etc
We're pretty spoiled in NW London and Harrow ends, to the point where I find Regency average to good over the years, with some exceptional moments sprinkled in. I don't really feel keen on spending £11 a chop though, nice as it may be.
I dont understand how 34k people watch and 1.1k bother liking... its free and keeps it going... lazy people or just daft... I love all the channels I watch... I wanna keep em going, for my benefit if anything

Been there before. Very good food. Thought you would of gone a little higher on your score, there was nothing bad or negative with all your dishes yous had. Deffo a good 9.8. Even your camera man said that is as close to a 10 you will get and he knows his Indian food. 👍🏻
Best food I ever had!
Finally an authentic Indian restaurant and not a greasy Bengali one. This is looks like the real deal. Northern Indian cuisine is some of the best and made with ghee not horrible oils.

I've had one 10 meal there, most of the time between 8 and 9.
Next time you go just ask Punkaj bhai what to eat. Whatever he says "mujah owe seh" to, you order it! 😂
Went there recently lovely restaurant great vibe great staff but the food wasn't a 9.4. Lots of dishes were far too salty but all in all give it a visit.

This is the difference between an actual Indian owned restaurant and the run of the mill so called Indian restaurants which are owned by Bengalis and Pakistanis. The food is on another level. The quality is consistent. Also, the Indians understand their beers so you always get quality drinks to compliment the food. There are so many of these types of restaurants in North London. This place, Ruby Ms, and Purple Flame are the best.
