I remember watching the show when I was child. It came on late in the morning and it was the last show I would watch before I went outside to play. Why it only lasted just one year I will never know.

I remember how excited I used to get as a kid every time this series was about to air on Satrudays. I would love to have it on DVD right now in my video collection. Absolutely sensational cartoon show! #HiYoSilver

In order for "Agent Z's" weapon to work, he would have had the knowledge of a fire bomb with an effective proximity fuse, something not invented yet!! Also, land mines were not invented as well! Clever of the writers to think of this!

Land mines were used in the Civil War. However, how could the catapult send projectiles all the way to Washington DC from the western part of the USA.

Where's James West and Artemus Gordon when you need them?

+Doug Shoemaker Well..... I would imagine they are out with single ladies to the theater or dinner, like they usually do after each episode of TWWW!

Amazing that the cartoon writers thought of using a trebuchet for the enemy's weapon! Fascinating!!

+Painindeass1million Yes! I agree! Some of the weapons displayed on TWWW and LR episodes were neat back then!

The mesas (flat-topped mountains) shown in the episode are found only in the Western states. That weapon must have a VERY long range.

Not within 5 miles as stated!

Since Washington was Agent Z's target, this would mean that Z's stronghold would have had to be located in a nearby mountain range, since the technology of the latter 1800's was not capable of launching an incendiary device over a distance of more than a few miles at most, and most cannons of the time had a range of only a few thousand yards at most!

There isn't any such mountain range located near Washington.

Where is this taking place? There are no deserts or volcanoes near Washington D.C. , yet.

Does anyone know the voice actor of the Deadly Glassman?

f h I would think it would be Don Messick or Shep Meskin doing his "Clyde Crashcop" impression!

    • @rclaughlin

Howard Morris supplied the Glassman's voice.

Does anybody know who the voice of "Agent Z" is?

I would guess it's John Doucette. Considering that he'd already acted in THE WILD WILD WEST and the live-action version of THE LONE RANGER, his performance here would hardly be a great departure.

rclaughlin Yes! I agree! I've seen him in the TWWW episodes as well as "The Big Valley" and other TV shows! He's a great character actor as well as a good personality!
