    meta is pretty simple at start of expansions, first thing you do is heavy gathering rotation for scrips(nodes unlocks) then afterward you use spiritbonding tomes/food/tincture combo and rotate betwen the 2 legendary gathering nodes while crafting collectibles or things to sell. For gear you want to craft 2 sets of gears and except blue crafting weapons(to save materias), one set of gear is pentamelded with trash, the other is progressively optimally pentamelded. Spiritbond is where the bulk of the money comes early on, that is why it is absolutely crutial to pentameld your gear asap and to use consummables. For prep you can't prep much actually, if you are actively crafting early, you won't need much more than 3M gp, you can even panic do custom deliveries to get blue gear right now and it will be good enough to craft the first crafting/gathering gears hq and go from there without any overmeld.
    Do not forget to really do the grand company turn ins, it is the only thing that takes precedence over the msq. If you can snag 6 leves on the fly with trash turn ins day 1 or 2 it's free real estate as well. Having pentamelded previous expansions jewelry is good enough but you really should consider intermediary level gear even if you can macro because less steps in a more multiplier to everything ^^'. Last expansion I was extremly lazy with my crafting/gathering jobs and I leveled them extremly fast without even doing much collectible and I had plenty of leves left. Then once I had the gear with trash meld it took me only 3 hours to make heavy bank and starting to swap some fully optimal pieces of gear.

      Thanks for sharing. I am definitely going to take advantage of GC turn ins before starting MSQ

      Hi! thanks for the info. What does a "heavy gathering rotation for scrips" mean? Or particuarly, what are you meant to be gathering? Endwalker stuff to get white scrips to buy books? Or just any old random collectable you can find that doesnt require a legendary node?
      When you say 2 sets of gears. Do you mean you want 2 sets of crafting gear and 2 sets of gathering gear?
      For leves, again is this sharlyan or whatever leves we gain access to in DT?
      This is my first DLC release where im going in as an omni crafter/gatherer and I wanna set myself up to make some good cash and get my FC raid ready for those who want to go in, so, apologies for my lack of understanding of all the terms! >.

      I believe what he means by heavy gathering rotation is that they will be gathering A LOT of the new collectables and the new crafting materials from legendary nodes that will be released in Dawn Trail. The collectables will reward scrips used to purchase the tomes of folklore (aka legendary books) that will unlock the legendary gathering nodes.
      The legendary nodes will contain new crafting materials that will be used in recipes to craft the new raid gear. The new tomes of folklore are a must have if you want to make gil and craft gear for your FC raid group.
      The two gearset thing is optional. It is to take advantage of spiritbonding to farm materia.
      As far as the leves, I believe he is referring to the Endwalker leves. Keep in mind that once Dawn Trail is released the XP values of leves is going to drop significantly (if not already). If anything, you'll gain way more XP by prepping Grand Company turn ins.
      I hope this helps.

      @@KijanisGroove that does help alot thanks! Do you need to have finished the story in that area to farm? I know flying helps? Or can you do collectables as you run from place to place?
      I'm not of a mind to speedrun all of DT plus aether currents just to be one of the First crafter's haha. XD

      @KijanisGroove  4 месяца назад

      You will need story progression to unlock the scrip exchange in Dawn Trail. Although the tomes of folklore are available in 7.0, the recipes to craft gear won't be released until 7.05, which is on July 30th.
      With all that said, there is no need to rush anything. You can take your time ^_^

    I've been stocking up on Squadron Engineering Manuals, Squadron Survival Manuals, Revised Engineering Manuals, and Revised Survival Manuals. Obviously many more of the revised manuals because they last much less time, but the revised manuals are easier to farm in larger quantities too.

    One addition is you can prep doh/dol xp books via white scrips; there's two versions and there's no limit on how many you can use. I got my crafters to 90 in EW in like a day with books.

      Theres XP books? I can't really see anything on google about them? theres the xp manuels that boost your XP gain? But you seem to be implying theres a book that gives you flat xp?

    • @KijanisGroove
      @KijanisGroove  4 месяца назад +1

      The XP book they are referring to is called Revised Engineering Manual. They can be purchased from any scrip exchange for 30 white scrips. They can be found in the "Music/Furnishings/Misc." menu option. You can find a scrip exchange throughout the game. For example, you can find one in the Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks at X6.0 Y11.9. Hope this helps!

    I'm not ready. I need more time to finish the MSQ, still on Shadowbringers. Problem is I'm tired of my main job and trying to level a DPS job so I don't have to keep going slow as a tank...

    im so tired of these prep guides. Like, the crafting market is already so overly satured, do we really need to try getting more people into it?

      Yes, we should absolutely encourage new players to get into these sort of activities. It's incredibly selfish to limit new players for your own profits. Ofc if you have any secret ways of making money that you want to keep to yourself that's fine.. but to attempt to influence other players away from sharing what they want to share is just gross.

    • @Alae_ffxiv
      @Alae_ffxiv 5 месяцев назад +5

      This is why you need to pick a niche market that most people refuse to touch.
      Example- Gear and cooking is completely saturated by players.
      However I've found a few niches that I can make upwards of 1m + a day on, is that a lot? No, but it beats fighting a bunch of others in the gear market. Do I still sell things like gear? Ofc, because it's the smart thing to do and I bulk craft things. But I don't rely on it because that's silly.
      That being said, stop discouraging new players because you don't want to figure out how to make the market work for you :)
