Tamara, this is a unique and beautiful cardi! I'm doing my best to get crocheting again after surgery on my broken wrist. Using this Red Heart yarn and your pattern, I see that I can work on it a little at a time. Completing each square will be such an accomplishment! And, the photos show a beautiful cardi! Thanks, Tamara, this unique Red Heart yarn and your pattern are a Win Win!

I like the look of this cardigan but when I wear a cardigan made with worsted weight yarn I feel like I'm wearing a blanket.....I'm at that age, I come with my own heat source 😂
But seriously, I'd like to make this with a sport or dk weight, could I do that, keeping the squares at 6"?

Absolutely! Just add a few more stitches in part 3 for the collar and a couple more rows for the hem and you'll be all set. :)

Thank you for this video. I am liking the look of this Cardigan. I actually am using a 6.0/J hook with this yarn and it works up almost perfectly. I have twicked the pattern slightly but am getting 6 inches square.

Nice project but this new Granny Square yarn is a bit too gimmicky. By the time you get it "figured out" a person could have 5 squares made the usual way using yarn without the gimmicky price and aggravation. I'll pass on the Granny Square yarn. I've seen a lot of "clever" yarns come and I've seen them go. This too, shall pass.

You can absolutely use a different yarn if preferred. :)

I really don't see the interest of using this new yarn compared to the good old method !!! Really.
Our grannies made granny blankets without all that fuss, the aim was to save wool - as much as possible - and money.
Now, if you want to bother and complicate things plus spend more money, then go for this new useless trove. Bon courage 😂
This cardi is really beautiful though !

Thank you! It can be made in your yarn of choice, of course! I just love having so few ends to weave in, and avoiding having that giant pile of ends to throw away!
