Against Vlad I don't build antiheal somehow that's not working. Instead, I build Banshee's Veil. Against aggressive ad champs i build 'Crystalline Reflector' or 'Guardian Angel'. Here at 6:21 I start with armor, and I secure 3 kills against Pantheon. And against tanks, I camp bot so my ADC can destroy them :)
Top lane is not the same as mid lane at all, even if you're playing against the same champion. Every lane has a different playstyle. Personally, I find my playing style in top to be less effective. But I've seen other players who find top lane to be a more comfortable role for them than mid lane.
In your first games with Akali, forget solo kills. and learn how to get more gold by managing your minions wave so you can farm safely, and always keep farming "power farming" Don't waste your second and third abilities or your energy. and, of course, watch the map and help your team in every "winning" fight. And one more thing that I always do is rewatch your losing games. watch how other players killed you, what the mistakes you did, and what you should do instead
