I think we can say pretty definitively that Robivan was right to roll deep at level 8. In spite of having great items and a Varus + Tahm 2 and an Olaf item carrier, he lost 2 fights to people who had Kalista + Rakan 1 and a Karma + Gwen 1. If he had lost by one more unit on either of those boards he would have died. It's extremely difficult to tell how effective any board is vs Kalista/Rakan since if you have 2 items on them they are insane. Robivan probably had no idea exactly how strong his comp was before he rolled down, but I can imagine he figured he wasn't strong enough to beat the faerie players.

being results oriented it was literally the difference between 1st and 8th
perosnally i dont like this comp my strongest is shapeshifter with 3 dragons
i think at the end since he had millio he decided to have his units stay at 2 items for a chance for shred or anti heal
