Great job! From 1968 to 1974 I used to live about 600 yards from that bridge in a house on stilts and would go fishing out on the bayou all the time. I was an expert at catching crokers and hard heads! 😂 every once in a while I would catch a nice flounder, trout or redfish! Now I live about 4 four hours away in central Texas and sure miss the good fishing just outside of my house. The house has been blown down by hurricanes but the slab is still there. Lots of rattlesnakes and water moccasins. So glad to see you catching some really nice trout! Great video work!
Excellent video you might want to add offatts Bayou to your itinerary go to the very tip of long Reef it's about a 40 foot drop straight down put your jig on the bottom educate very very very slow this is only during the winter time when you hook these trout more than likely they're going to be covered in mud on their bellies it's a great winter hole sometimes the flats are too thin and don't warm up enough for the winter excellent video thank you
Solunar Calendar has never correlated with my fishing. Days I've killed it with 14 bites and the calendar was at a low prediction. Days I skunked and it was at hight prediction. I find it doesn't matter the time, the color of the lure, or pressure. The most important thing is finding them.
I couldn’t quite remember where you mounted the transducer. If it’s in the back does the turbulence from the motor at idle/low speed cause interference with the readings being behind the motor?
Mud Duck Fishing ya low idle no. Low speed it makes the image a little fuzzy but can still make out bottom with side can. Down scan work great at low speed.
Kagen Fishing I figured, I use a humminbird si on my boat and kayak and it took me a while to get the perfect place on my boat to get clear readings at speed. I was just curious since the transducer would almost have to be in the back of a solo skiff to use at speed. I’m in the middle of selling the outback and looking to get a solo skiff. Thanks for the info.
fish move to deep water or very shallow mud to stay warm this time of the year they move to fresh water since it does not feel as cold and man made heat from barges so they move to San jacinto monument area at I10 -- you get deep and shallow and fresh water and water is heated by parked barges . the water in that area is super contaminated and main source is at I10 bridge i seen videos of large trout already
Awesome video bro I can wait to go out there too that you ever tried this brand call Home Recker lures try it you wont be sorry especially the babytrout and bone daddy and spritzer I been catching trout and reds let me know good luck 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Hey what kind of boat u got can u do review on it
Subbed! Nice fish to get the skunk off the boat for the day!👍👍
Have you been back to roll over lately. Thinking that deep water might be holding a few fish
Kccacio I sure haven’t. Very good idea! I might be trying that in the near future!
Awesome day of catching fish! Were you north or south of the big bridge?
North of it!
@@KagenFishing Thank you!
Good video bro!!
What lb of line do u use for that reel and do u have a link for those wading boots
I usually use 30lb for oyster resistance but i believe that is 20lb. Its Power pro super slick.
Here is an affiliate link to the boots I purchased and use. They work great for launching in cool weather and keeping my feet dry.
