I've always enjoyed your videos and STILL looking forward to your book , and I appreciate all of the time you have been spending creating your style of informative videos . Freshwater fishkeeping to me is the World's best hobby and I know along the way you're going to have inspired many people who want to do it the Biotopia way. 🍁
Nice to see you explaining the thought behind the aquascape choices and the how-to of your build. Thank-you. I look forward to your posts. Always enlightening.
Incredible biotope scape and well shot and informative video you produced Tai. Can we swap zebra danio tanks, as yours is far better 🤣 Thanks for including their importance to research, it’s critical people understand the good they do and don’t just see the use of these fish in science as a negative. Also thanks for shouting my channel out, really nice of you!
In eastern India, I collect them from rice paddies but the use of pesticides is quite disruptive for these fish. They are often found occurring sympatrically with Esomus danricus. Nice video
Thank you for your comment and insights! That's interesting to learn! It must be so wonderful to find them in the wild, despite the pesticides...would you have any photos of their habitats by any chance?
I love these small "simple" fish. That's cool aquascape, I'd have been concerned they'd want a calmer hiding spot but it's awesome anyway. Love the bedrock style, I once did something a little similar with granite stones glued along the bottom but the flat stones is so awesome, i guess they nicely algaed over. I'm thinking of keeping zebrafish again but they'd have to go in my whitecloud set up which i've been running for like a decade now and feels like a betrayal to change it at this stage lol
that's a great question, I think that any tank where they have plenty of cover and the water parameters and tankmates are appropriate would be fine :) Sometimes though, even captive bred fish look better in a more natural-style display
Cheers from my fish room Channel in Chicago, where I am a subscriber to yours! So cool! Did you consider using any inverts in this biotope? Or is it truly "species only?"
Thank you Stefan! Well I admit I didn't even think about inverts...I guess if you found some habitat correct ones they could be included! Most of my tanks are fully of wild-colour cherry shrimp anyway😅
I'm using a Rode Podcaster mic, I don't know how much more 'real' you want. When I had no mic, people complained, when I had OK mics, people complained, now I have a great mic, people complain. Should I start shouting at the mic? 😅
I am glad you saw my comment. And my apologies if it came across as not so polite. Am I the only one here thinking there can be some huge improvement to the sound? It sounds low quality and metalic. As opposed to warm. Maybe it is not the micro Phone but your garage sound (!!!). Anyway I am no expert.... maybe i am also the only one thinking this ? I feel like your scapes and next level incredible and you there is so much we can all Learn from you....
the danios sure seem happy, I love when people try to imitate where they live naturally
Never has the Zebra Danio been honored in such fashion. What a time we are living in.

Only downside to this video is the fact that it had to end, hope to see more like this❤😂
That's very kind of you to say! I'm glad you liked it!
I'm not a fan of Zebra Danios, but I will admit you sparked my interest Tai. Well done!
Wow. Really Fantastic Zebra Tank!!!!
Elegantly created.

Great biotope, hoping you can do the Brazilian highlands one.Maybe with house plants overhanging.
Looking forward to the book.
Since I found your videos, I began to see the beauty of biotope-style aquariums. I still wait for your book for further inspiration 😃
Zebra Danios are my favourite fish. They resonate with me for some reason i cannot pinpoint. I did have them as a child so maybe thats part of it. ❤
Oh wow, this one is really nice!

Lovely atmosphere - both the set-up and the whole video. 👌🏼

Very good and informative and fun vid!
Very nice scape, love the look the large flat stones create

Nice scape Tai! 🙂
Thanks Jason! :D
super toll, ich mag aquarien die wirklich wie das naturhabitat sind... 😍👍👍👍
nice creative setup! 👍
Love this setup!
nice attention to detail!
Great work, as usual. Didn't know that these cheap Lightground foils exist. Will definitely get one for the next Biotope project.
Would small captive bred fish prefer a biotope or just a jungle tank?

I had some ZDs and grew to dislike them but you have made them lovable again ❤
Thank you, that made my day ☺

@@biotopia5319 makes sense. Another cool appropriate fish would be certain species of goby.
Thanks for information
Love it
what if they want to sleep

For the Algo ✌

Please get a real microphone.... 🙏

@@louisrobert339yeah you’re the only one. Sounds fine and it is impolite to just make a comment saying to “get a real mic”.
@Jstimp927 thanks for the heads up. I would not trust an American though. Most of your senses are off.
