I appreciate Seungeon for being respectful and mindful towards his Sunbaes. Despite having strong vocal, he suggested Hanbin to take main vocal, and Matthew Sub Vocal1 because he knew both wanted it. Even when the conflict arised, he apoligized to Matthew despite having done nothing wrong. THis boy is so humble and underrated.
In the end, they resolved the issue and for me Matthew taking the Sub Vocal2 is a blessing in disguise. He stands out the most and the cutesy concept suits him very well.
Fighting Shanbin, Jiwoong, Matthew, Sungeon and Hyujin! I hope SMN team wins and all of them debut together.

I don’t agree. I think they just don’t give him the trust and confidence that he deserves. It is what it is but I disagree. They left him when he needed him the most and Matthew was gonna just do what’s best for the team but it was wrong. He has always been delivering when needed so why throw him under the bus now? It’s done and Matthew just did what they asked which speaks volumes to his character!!! I vote him every day because he deserves it. These other people they want or think is better may not even make it through!
@@leleprescott3241 Oh. It think they believe Matthew could do it. But the question is... which option will make the whole performance better? After practising and evaluating, Shanbin and Jiwoong thought that Matthew's part is too high for him and Seungeon's too low. Thus, they asked both to try switching parts -which turn out to be better. Seungeon can execute SubVoc1 perfectly and Matthew has the character needed for SubVoc2.
Sure, it would be easier if the group, especially Shanbin make the team auditioned for the parts early on. But things happened - Shanbin wanted to move on faster with the practice, Matthew's firmness in having SubVoc1, Seungeon gave up main vocal (previously they have 2 main vocals when the team consists of 10 members) and didn't want to take SubVcl1 cause Matthew wanted it the first time around.
IMO, Shanbin's leadership could be better, but thankfully Jiwoong was there (being the older one) to state the obvious and reminded Shanbin about the vocal positions. I think we all understand how frustrated Matthew was, but he should also should put the team first before any individual desire. Thankfully, in the end Matthew agreed to follow the team's suggestion, and everything works out well.
This is a learning process for all of them. What we as fans/star creator need to do is to keep voting for them. All of them need to debut guys! And at the moment Seungeon's at danger - positioned 17, almost 18th which is the lowest rank to move on to the next round. Vote for all of them pls.

Yes it is obvious Mnet edited this part in a weird way like they always do for drama. Everyone knows Matthew and Sung Hanbin are good friends. All of them are right in their point of view. It is clearly they are really stressed out. Some trainees in girls planet 999 confessed that they trained for many hours, did not get enough to eat to not gain weight and they could not sleep.
I agree but still I feel so sad & annoyed that they made Matthew cry. 😢

I actually don't think what is shown in this particular clip is a cheap trick by MNET. They helped us understand each member's point of view. I think it's natural for there to be discussions and conflict in a team and this is how they grow and succeed. MNET is showing us the process the team had to undergo to reach the stage performance. I don't think any of the boys are shown in a negative light in this clip. The interpretation of the story they have shown in this clip is up to the fans.

But in the end I am glad team members point out what the best part for him is. Coz he shines in those. Both in KTL and SMN he is shinning.

9회 방송에서 보이즈플래닛 PD가 얼마나 역량이 부족한지 확연히 드러남
세이마이네임 팀 뿐만 아니라 이제까지 공개된 K vs G 배틀이나 포지션평가 회차들에서도 마찬가지로 pd는 연습생들의 아이돌로서의 실력 성장 과정보다는 ‘갈등 해결’을 중심으로 프로그램을 진행해옴
물론 서바이벌 프로그램이고 모든 연습생들이 간절한 마음을 가지고 임하고 있기 때문에 그 안에서 갈등이 일어날 수는 있음 하지만 이건 어디까지나 무대 준비를 향한 하나의 과정일 뿐이어야 됨
시청자의 입장에서 볼 때 pd는 지금 무대보다는 연습생들 간의 갈등에만 초점을 두고 있는 것 같음
특히나 이번 세이마이네임 팀 갈등 서사는 저번 주부터 이번 주 그리고 다음 주까지 끌고가서 3주동안 진행되고 있음
방송에서 공개된 장면으로 보면, 방금까지 약간의 언쟁이 있었던 연습생들이 장면이 바뀌자 갑자기 다시 친하게 지내고 있는 모습 그리고 그 다음 장면엔 또 다시 갈등 장면으로 넘어가는 편집 순서만 보더라도 세이마이네임 팀의 갈등은 그다지 오랜 시간동안 진행된 갈등이 아니라는 걸 알 수 있음
pd 자신의 역량이 부족한 점을 연습생들의 갈등을 방패로 해 감추려 하는 모습이 불쾌할 따름임

바로 직전 경연 love killa에서도 매튜는 킬링파트가 하고 싶었으나, 팀 분위기상 지웅이 더 잘 어울린다고 생각했기에 욕심부리지 않고 동의했다. 사실, 매튜에게 가장 중요한 건 파트가 아니라 2차례 공정하게 투표로 선정된 자신의 파트였는데 갑작스럽게 바꿔야 하는 상황인 거 같다. 하지만, 이번에도 매튜는 팀을 위해 받아들이고 파트를 변경했음을 안무영상을 통해 알 수 있었다. 엠넷은 길지 않은 갈등부분을 계속해서 보여줄 뿐 해결된 모습과 그 이후를 보여주지 않았다. 한빈도 리더가 처음이라 미숙했던 점을 인정하였으며, 지웅 또한 팀이 더 빛나기 위해 노력했을 뿐이다. 단편적인 부분만 보고 매튜, 지웅, 한빈의 팀을 위한 고민을 미워하지 않았으면 좋겠다. Matthew wanted that part because it has English lyrics in it and wanted his mother to hear him sing in English. It's more of a personal matter for him so I get why he felt so upset about it. And I know Jiwoong is not the leader but he's not really ashamed or afraid to say his thoughts, which is great. He thinks if they want to win then they should do what is best for the team. But at the end of the day they did pretty good and looked very happy in the dance practice video so I guess everything worked out well. And I don't think this is an evil edit.. just teamates discussing the matter.

매튜 1차든 2차든 이기적이게 욕심 낸 적 없음. 하교 싶던 파트는 도전 해보고 투표로 떨어지면 웃으면서 수긍했음. 세마넴에선 이미 순발식 하기 전 부터 정정당당하게 팀원 투표로 서브보컬1 됐었고 순발식 이후 파트 재조정 때도 모두의 동의 하에 재조정 없었음. 킬 디스 러브 때도 3분 노래를 1시간 안에 20번 연습 하는 애임.. 분명 서브보컬1 파트도 열정을 다해 연습했을거임.. 그렇게 열심히 연습 했는데 마스터 평가 4시간 전, 그것도 본 무대도 얼마 안 남았을 때 정말 원했고 열심히 했던 파트를 갑자기 자신 없던 파트로 바꾸자고 하면 그 누가 선뜻 바로 알겠다고 하겠음.. 그리고 결과적으론 양보를 했음.. 정말 쉽지 않았을거임.. 무엇보다 팀원들 지금 다같이 잘 지냄 근데 대체 욕 먹는 이유가 뭐임? 결과적으로 피해를 줌? 매튜 뿐만 아니라 다른 연생들한테도 소극적이면 열정 없다고 욕 먹고 적극적이면 욕심 많다고 욕 먹고.. 꿈을 향해 열심히 달려가고 있는 연습생을 그딴 이유도 아닌 이유로 패야겠습니까.. 아니꼽게 보지 좀 맙시다..

But in this episode its was really unfair for Matthew.
They could have simply make both of them sing and give their vote like any other mission.
But at beginning they accepted Matthew as sub vocal 1 and than at sudden they doubt his skill and want to change the parts.
Here it really doesn't matter Matthew's intention of taking sub vocal 1 coz if he was assigned sub vocal 2 with votes he would have accept it.

Just please don't make it sound as if you're an expert and only single out one trainee, be honest and say you have someone that took your interest. Once again, it's fine if Matthew stole your attention! For me, I can't take my eyes off of Jiwoong in any performance he is, his aura just draws me in. I can confidentally say that I am biased towards him. It's interesting to see how different trainees catch people's eyes. I also think Jiwoong is 100% debut material. However, and this is where I feel you went wrong, I do see the potential in a few trainees. Matthew or Jiwoong definitely aren't the only ones deserving to debut, there are a few that stand out too, even if they did not capture our attention like our biases did. It's wrong to single out only one. It's okay to say you like that specific trainee.

서보 1으로 확정돼서 계속 그 파트로 연습하고 이 있다가 갑자기 트레이닝 4시간 전에 파트가 변경되면 솔직히 누구나 많이 당황스러울 거임.. 그리고 매튜는 kill this love 랑 love killa 때는 하고 싶은 파트가 있었어도 그냥 남에게 쉽게 넘겨주거나 크게 미련이 없었음 근데 이번엔 울고 그러는 거 보니 다른 때보다 서보 1을 하고 싶은 마음이 컸을 거고 팀의 퀄리티를 위해서는 바꾸는 게 맞지만 그 바꾸라는 부분에서 이번엔 솔로 무대가 아니야..라는 말 표현은 내가 느껴도 너무 상처받았을 거 같다… 매튜 입장에서 충분히 자신은 저기에 끼어들 자리가 없고 자신의 의견 반영을 안 해줄 거 같은? 느낌이 들었을 거 같음 하지만 당연히 한빈 지웅이 잘못했다는 말은 절대 아니고 다 이해함 이걸 3주 동안 악편으로 질질 끄는 게 이해가 안 간다 진짜

매튜의 아쉽고 서운한 심정도 인간적으로 이해는 가지만...그 감정을 팀원에게 드러내는 태도가 조금 미성숙해보였음...
형들이 팀 전체로 봤을때 서로 바꾸는게 어울린다고 최대한 감정 상하지 않게 생각을 잘 전해줬고, 본인도 승언이가 보컬적으로 돋보인다고 생각하고 있었는데도, 팀을 위해서 무엇이 더 좋은 선택인지 고민하는 모습이 부족해보였음
물론 무조건 양보하는게 옳은것도 아니지만... 정말 파트를 지켜내고 싶었으면 '이 파트 진짜 하고 싶고 잘할 자신있어요 믿어주세요' 이런 식으로 팀원들을 설득하면 좋았을텐데 '팀원들의 제안을 이해못하겠다, 나 망한다, 이럴거면 다른 팀 갔다' 이런 말들은 굉장히 감정적으로 들렸음. 22살이 어리다면 어리다고도 할 수 있는 나이지만 어엿한 성인인데, 공적인 팀 미션에서 매튜가 보여준 모습은 아직 감정조절이 어리구나 싶었고 이번 계기를 통해 한층 더 성장했으면 좋겠다ㅠ
jiwoong was rude though. he could have said it better. matthew already had the part ready and they made him switch at the last minute. anyone would be affected by that. matthew is not selfish.

I fully understand Matthew's feeling too. He is not selfish. But what I want to say is...Matthew's way to 'express' his feeling seemed little immature. Again, he could convince members saying 'Trust me. I really want this part and I can do this well'. This is official(not private!) team mission, and Matthew is 22(in Korean) years old, not child. 매튜는 단 한번도 경연에서 원하는 파트를 맡아본적이 없음. 킬디럽 때도 원하던 파트에서 다 밀려나고 러브킬라 때도 킬링파트를 꼭 하고싶었지만 지웅이형이 더 잘 어울리는 것 같아 양보하고 세마넴에서 처음으로 원하던 파트를 받게 된거임. 어머니 이야기도 개인적인 얘기라서 팀원들한테 말 안하고 혼자 감정 추스리다가 결국 파트 바꿔줬음.
