It is just so lovely to see familiar places on such an awesome channel. It seriously makes my heart so happy. I don't follow any other youtubers in slc.
Aw this comment is so nice! I haven't seen many SLC RUclipsrs either. I'll keep sharing some of the stuff I do locally/in the mountains :) You should check out @littletinyegg, she's also an artist living in SLC making videos!
In this video, simple white school glue! It works really well to keep the fibers in place. Makes it not super resistant to water, though, so I only use it when the rugs are meant to hang on walls or be used in a really low traffic spot on the floor. For floor rugs, I've used Roberts 3095 Carpet Adhesive and that stuff is super great, I just hated how it smelled and since my studio is in my home I stopped using it.
I'd say it's about 50/50, sometimes I have an idea in my head or a reference photo I want to recreate, but otherwise I draw/paint in almost a meditative state and it's very intuitive! :) Thanks for the great question!
What!! Love the mountain climbing!!! How did you do thatttt? Looks difficult. Where do you all live? So beautiful! Also; where did you snatch that deal? :)
I live in Salt Lake City, Utah! My bf has climbed for most of his life, but I started rock climbing in 2017! I just do it casually though, the one you saw me doing is pretty easy :-) Are you asking about the watercolor? It was thru Amazon but the deal is probably over unfortunately :0

When you work in your sketchbook, do you plan what you are drawing or is it more intuitive?

Gotcha gotcha! It looks so beautiful in Utah! I love mountains but I would be lowkey scared to do that climb haha (or maybe not? Give me a beer)
