I found that placing a kleenex fully soaked in waterless wash on top for a couple minutes does the trick. Plus you don't have to worry about towels to wash or overspray to clean up.
@@diydetailofficialthanks. I keep a box of kleenex and spray bottle of waterless wash in the trunk for that purpose. For waterless wash I've been using your good old Opti-Clean for years but will try DIY Waterless when the Opti runs out.
Unfortunately I became skilled at this courtesy of my neighbors maple tree in the spring. I simply prespray with rinseless wash and then add three gallons of rinseless to the bucket with a grit guard. Here is where you learn to appreciate the legacy sponge being two colors. Simply wash your vehicle like normal and rinse your sponge in the bucket often. This will teach you to become a quicker washer. Thank you for the video!
I use a tissue paper to wipe off the bird droppings and then I clean the surface with a cotton cloth because to use a microfiber to remove the bird droppings spoil my microfiber towels.
Still not loud enough really. (nothing to do with the mic - the level simply needs to be increased - either during, or after, the recording). It's intelligible, but it's not as loud as it should be
Question for you Yvan and Nick…. I finally came across a vehicle where the carpet will need a good scrub and extraction, and the customer will be paying for the service to be done… I have my Bissell Little Green Pro shampooer, but I do not know what to use for the shampoo portion…. Should I just use hot water, or mix in like maybe rinseless wash diluted 256:1, or maybe mix in some All Clean diluted 15:1??? What would you two recommend? P.S. - I’ll be using Rinseless Wash diluted 256:1 foamed onto the carpet, then agitated with a drill & drill brush *before* extraction.
If Nick answers this question. You can try all clean. But, there are chemicals dedidcated for carpet and upholstery. BIOBREAK as a pre treat and agitation and Flex Ice in your solution tank in your extractor are awesome. Then with a steamer if you have one. Put DIY Rinseless in there at the 256:1 to get the final light agitation and awesome clean smell of apples.
Well, I don't really leave bird droppings on my car for long, but I just got a little more scared after this video 😂By the way, I think there's 1 video missing from this 101 series, Engine Bay cleaning. I really want to see your take on engine bays guys!
Hello, will the red sponge applicators be in stock sometime this week? I need an order by the end of next week but really want the red sponge applicators with the coating I order
I’m getting ready to buy a bunch of your products, but I have 3 questions: 1/. If I use the 3 year ceramic coating on a 5 month old car, can I use your polish by hand? 2/. Can I use the ceramic coating on all of the glass, including windshield? 3/. What do you recommend for chrome tail pipes? Also, the chrome tail pipe thing is a good topic for a video. 😊
Yes you can polish by hand, but try a random orbital sander , it’s not expensive and will give you better results. You can use our coatings on all exterior surfaces, including windshield. Our metal ceramic coating is best on tailpipes.
What’s the reason or preference in using rinseless over washless? True weekend warrior here with a new car and 1000 RUclips hours under my belt so curious in the difference
Hey, wenn man das so macht, dann muss man aber auch die Haube komplett säubern, da die Sprühösung ja sehr verteilt ist, richtig? Und auch Teile der benachbarten Bereiche, wie einen Teil der Stoßstange.
Question for Yvan. What do you do about all the overspray in that situation? Do you buff it off with some of the panel still dry or let it dry on its own?
Hi Yvan, would a heat gun or hair dryer work? If we don't have the sun as we hardly do during winter in UK, and/or what would be the alternative to UV lamp if you don't have access to one?
When I wipe the rear glass of my car with a wet towel, I see some black like spots on glass. And when the glass is dry, I couldn't see any such spot. What would be the reason for this?
Love your videos! I was wondering, what about droppings you might get during the week that ceramic coatings need to cure? Do you do the same cleaning method with rinseless, or do you let it be until the week is gone and the coating is cured?
I dunno Yvan. Got to be another better way. Having washed MF with birdshits, hmmm, no fun huh. I like the tissue paper suggestions by others here. I used kitchen towel, cos some birdshits droppings are like Hiroshima bombs! Honestly, in the past, I just turn on the faithful garden hose n blast the shits off. Those days water spots never bothered me, just the birdshits!

Great tip, or those blue shop towels should also work well, I keep a roll of those in the trunk for other emergencies.
Get those bird droppings, love it thanks for showing correct procedure.
So nice of you

Nice quick tip for the blue one and the sun👌
Glad it helped
love your detailing 101 very easy when you forget about some things Thank you
You are very welcome
Great video and tip about the sun!!
Glad you liked it!

You know it!
I use a tissue paper to wipe off the bird droppings and then I clean the surface with a cotton cloth because to use a microfiber to remove the bird droppings spoil my microfiber towels.
It washes out of the MF towel without issue.
This mic is better than the other one you've used in the past.

Can the bird droppings etch through your ceramic coating?
No, but it can temporarily be scarred.

When you’re doing hot water extraction, this is my favorite pre spray: amzn.to/45IPp1s
This is what to put in your extractor as your rinse agent: amzn.to/3S8r3Ln
This is Nick by the way 😀

256-1

They should be back tomorrow
My car got hit yesterday by the dreaded purple bombs. Yes promptly removed!!
Good!

Your choice.
Hey, wenn man das so macht, dann muss man aber auch die Haube komplett säubern, da die Sprühösung ja sehr verteilt ist, richtig? Und auch Teile der benachbarten Bereiche, wie einen Teil der Stoßstange.
Yes
Great video as always. One question, so bird droppings can still burn through ceramic coating in just a week, if not attended to?
They can scar it temporarily, the sun will remove the scar. This was before the car was coated.
Can you lightly use a heat gun moving it around the etching to see if it’ll come out?
Yes, but sun and patience are much safer.
Question for Yvan. What do you do about all the overspray in that situation? Do you buff it off with some of the panel still dry or let it dry on its own?
Simply dry it off
@@diydetailofficialor simply used demineralised water and let the overspray dry. I doubt you'll notice any difference in the effectiveness.
Hi Yvan, would a heat gun or hair dryer work? If we don't have the sun as we hardly do during winter in UK, and/or what would be the alternative to UV lamp if you don't have access to one?
It’s UV that does the job, not heat on the stain. A uv lamp isn’t powerful enough. The only alternative is patience
@@diydetailofficial Thank you for your reply, I thought as much 😊
I have another question: I’m thinking of doing the 5 year ceramic coating with the 3 year on top. Is your sale for that combo still going on?
The 8 year topped with the 3 year sale ends today.
When I wipe the rear glass of my car with a wet towel, I see some black like spots on glass. And when the glass is dry, I couldn't see any such spot. What would be the reason for this?
Water spots.
@@diydetailofficial the spots are not in round shape. They are uneven.
Wasn't the Mini coated? Was this before or after the coating?
This is a Veloster, this was before coating.
pressure washer would be ideal for bird droppings cause if you use a towel it could cause potential scratching
Because of the abrasive nature of bird droppings, a pressure washer alone can cause damage, your hitting the abrasive with 1000 lbs of force.
what about using all clean?
Last resort
How does the sun cure the clear coat?
The sun burns off the staining
How does the sun help?
The uv breaks down the stain
What about WD-40?
Never tried that
Great tip Yvan 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you liked it!

You would treat them as shown
What sprayer is he using? Awesome 💩💩💩!
IK Multi Pro 2

That's a lot of towels to wash!
Yes
But now you have a lot of the solution all over the hood and bumper. What do you do with it? You can't always wipe it all off when the car is dirty.
It’s safe to wipe off with DIY Detail Rinseless Wash
Yvan must have had his birds deposit those droppings in a perfect spot for the video. Or he went to mcdonalds
