Juan, thanks for taking time to put this video together. It is very helpful for me to understand the concepts you use for the various flight modes and understanding how the settings work. Great job!!
Thank you sooo much for sharing this. The settings are very different to what I have been using (I don't use any Expo for example)... & I've never found anyone else who seems prepared to publish their settings. I've now set the same parameters on my RF Simulator, which seems to be pretty good. So next to try them on a real model. Thanks once again!
Another useful video Juan, It must be difficult as a competitive flier, but it is good you share your knowledge, it is important to this great hobby of ours and for the new to F3A and the next generation.
Thanks Vince!! Not difficult at all, and I would be very happy if it can be helpful for someone. I am just sharing what I use, why I use it, and how we do things. I have been very lucky to have my father as a coach and training partner, but many people are alone in their clubs with curiosity about F3A but without the tools or the knowledge to even start... hopefully with this videos I can help a little 😉. Cheers!
Great video. As someone just getting involved with pattern flying I always learn something from your videos.. Would love to see a video about determining proper CG. Have a link to that transmitter mitt? Thanks.
Thanks Bob! Great to hear that. I am planning to prepare some videos focusing on the basics of F3A, maybe some tutorials about maneuvers or training methods, and of course trimming. About the transmitter mitt, it is from Turnigy, I bought it in Hobbyking many years ago... not sure if it is still available. Cheers!
Always insightful Juan; thank you. I am curious about no differential on ailerons (more up than down). Not necessary for axial rolls? Looking forward to next video and announcement.
Thanks Julian! The differential on ailerons can compensate the adverse yaw tendency of some models, especially with large wingspan compared with the length of the fuselage (we use it in all our gliders). I have seen a lot of times big discussions about aileron differential for symmetrical airfoils. In my opinion, the actual F3A designs are well compensated, and as you said, unless you feel something weird in axial rolls (sometimes the rudder is not well trimmed... 😅), I prefer to leave it with the same deflection up and down. For the Epilogue and the Cosmic I had zero issues with rolls, even with faster rolls with big deflections. Cheers!!
I bought the covers for my gimbals and for the switches in Banggood... The radio cover is from Hobbyking, but I think is not available anymore ☹️. Cheers!

Thanks Russ! If it is the first time with expos, start with small values and check how do you feel. Cheers!

Thanks for the useful information. I will try to apply it in my settings.

Thanks for you comment Mykola!

Otra vez muy buena video Juan ! Y gracias por contestar cuando tenemos una pregunta (gps)
I really like the covers for your gimbals and switches! Where can I find these? Also the radio cover? Nice vids!
