About ART WE THERE YET 🚌🌎
Art We There Yet is a project co-created by artist José Luis Vílchez and songwriter Cora Rose. Our mission is to create art inspired by the Americas, and to give back to communities along the way. Aboard a school bus converted into an art and recording studio (a tiny house skoolie bus conversion), we are traveling 30,000 miles from Alaska to Argentina, touching 23 countries of the Americas over 7+ years! We create art and music that highlight the beautiful people and landscapes of the Americas. And we provide murals and workshops in schools and communities that lack access to arts funding. Because ART is meant to be SHARED! ❤️🎨🚌🎼❤️

I wondered what the Nicaraguan connection was from your North of Superior video(s) - My wife and I (Chilo - Born in Managua in the mid 60's) just retraced our first trip out to Vancouver 31 years ago, this year, with a run-out to Banf, Jasper, Yoho and then over to the island and a drive back. Your descriptions of North of Superior, Banff and Jasper are spot on...
The trip was a vetting trip for our Truck (A Galloper II from Korea @gordie_the_galloper) that is making the trip to Masaya where we have a house. Maybe we will bump into you sometime in the future.

Oh super cool! Yeah, we loved our time living in Guangzhou. I (Cora) was actually originally going to teach in Shenzhen, but last minute they transferred me to Guangzhou. I'm happy with it, because if they hadn't, I wouldn't have met Jose!
This video blew my mind and I'm already watching it for the second time, along the way I'm still learning English, but I already imagined you two making music in the Natural Amphitheater of Quebrada De Las Conchas, because of its acoustics choirs and orchestras have recorded there , is in the Province of Salta, in my beautiful country Argentina (I'm still slowly catching up with your videos.)

It's funny how life works, isn't it? We were just reflecting a few days ago that if Jose's studio mate from college hadn't decided to go to school in Chicago, we never would have met. She is who invited him to help start LIDO Art Center in Guangzhou. And the rest is history!
You might really enjoy the first episode of Season 2. We are working on the outline for it as we speak, and it will cover other parts of the story that this video didn't cover (where we came from, the first 3 years of the project, etc).
