The brides of Dracula were EVERYTHING. 💅🏻✨🧛🩸
Yes they were! But their eyes are up HERE 👀
Fun fact, the actress who played the dark haired bride is "Dracula"'s real life wife! They got married the same year this movie released
They were my gay awakening I’m not even kidding
Yep, Rizzo and Benji are definitely going to have to react to Underworld (2003) now. Funny how Kate Beckinsale went from beautiful vampire assassin who falls for a werewolf (ahem, Lycan) to a beautiful human assassin who hunts vampires and who's brother *becomes* a werewolf. (FYI, I've always loved her outfits in this movie. Her fight clothes feel practical yet still feminine, and her masquerade dress is chef's kiss). 😆🦇
Oh it definitely on our list!
Omg yes yes yes yes yes
arguably she also falls for a werewolf in this one, seeing as Van Helsing is turning into one, lol
I am in awe of Rizzo’s ability to recognize actors by their voice alone. 😮 I usually see a face and think “where have I seen them before?”
😅 thanks. It’s a gift
@@PinkPopcast As someone who also has this gift but a slightly worse version, I also love Rizzo's constant shout-outs to the actors. I'll recognize a voice or a face and know them from something no one else remembers. Like yeah, that actor WAS in a Marvel movie and that will come to me in a second, but they were also in a commercial for cold medicine back in 2003, and that's where my brain goes.
I’m the same way
OMG- I’m with Benji on this one, I LOVE THIS MOVIE! The dramatic theatrical acting is so memorable!!! Honestly one of the best Dracula performances I’ve witnessed. 😂
👹🧛🏽♂️
This is a cult classic and always watch when I see it on tv or streaming! Has one of the best werewolf designs I've ever seen for me! I love this movie and Kate Beckinsale is amazing! Her in underworld is also a must watch!!!
EXACTLY!! Also underworld is definitely on our list because Rizzo hasn’t seen any of them
@@PinkPopcast yessssss lets go! I'm so excited for that!!!
Happy early birthday, Benji!! 🎉🎉
Thank you!! 🥰🥰
Thank you!! 😁
This was my favorite movie growing up. I've seen it probably 100+ times. So glad yall watched it on the channel ❤
We are too 🙌🏽
This movie has my favorite Dracula, my favorite "Frankenstien", and my favorite modern werewolf depiction. Universal tried making a "dark cinematic universe" after this and it failed so hard; odd because they nailed it in one with this movie!
I know! I wish they would have trusted themselves with this franchise!
I'm obsessed with how much Benji knows this film by heart😂 also it's great to see y'alls faces, this week has been a tough one so I appreciate the content💜
I’m so sorry 😢 I hope things get better for you 🙆🏾♂️
I love this film so much ! So rare to see people react to it cus its not exactly new 😅🤣. Also happy early birthday Benji! 🫶🏻🥳 also the vampire wives were 100% a part of me realising i liked women growing up 🤣
They’re iconic!
Kate Beckinsale was such an icon in this movie, I wanted to be her so bad 😂 I cried so hard when she died in this movie
😭 she was iconic! Definitely would have brought her back had there been a sequel!
@@PinkPopcastkinda like an Electra moment 👀
when i was a kid, my mom thought i had a crush on Dracula’s brides. the whole time, i wanted to be them 😭
Heehee - sometimes we gotta figure things out in our own time 🤫😘
The werewolves in this look SO GOOD... I've always been upset that the third Harry Potter movie didn't have this exact design (and rather opted for "weirdly hairless wolf-monkey hybrid" instead).
Ugh, thanks for reminding me of the were-chihuahua 😤
Hahaha I love that design too… but it wouldn’t be my pick for “Official Werewolf” 🐺
I mean there was a reason he looked like that in Harry Potter. From what I remember he was drinking Wolf's Bane and other stuff to keep himself in control when he was a Werewolf, and I think starved himself when he was one
Oow I LOOOVE this movie soooo much. This Draxula is my absolute cup of tea. Him and Aro from Twilight would be ultimate power couple
Omg THAT is a movie I would kill to see!
spooky season is here!
hope y’all react to mom’s got a date with a vampire 🤞💕
It’s definitely in the pool of potential reactions
0:18 it's also one of my fave movies!
You have great taste! :)
It's the way I just rewatched this movie this week after years of not thinking about it and now y'all are watching it lol It's like I knew
Great minds…
Happy almost birthday Benji!! ❤️❤️❤️
And an almost thank you to you!
Since it is spooky season coming up I would recommend: The Crow, Death Becomes Her, and Silence of the Lambs. you guys are a lot of fun to watch- great reaction.
Oh damn… those are amazing suggestions!
FORGOT THIS ONE ❤ I love that they made vampires look like actual beasts not just hot people with sharp teeth
Right!?!? I’m surprised Benji loves that too
Benji is sooooooo relatable.😂😂😂😂 Benji I randomly Quote this movie. My go to Quote is "You shattered the Rose Window! I wish you a week in Hell for that!"😂😂😂😂
Bwhahahahahahahaha what an amazing line I completely missed - Rizzo
I quote this film constantly 😂 Not me getting jumpscared with the accents lmao, I only ever watched it in Czech dub.
😂😂😂
Oh hahaha I’m sure that was quite a shock!
I love the outfits in movies like this. I remember the behind the scenes interview about how Katies boobs kept falling out when she had to do the scene where she was hanging upside-down 😂
😵
Happy early birthday Benji
🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
1:31 I had to pause, but I think I can see Benny in his face/ facial expressions despite him lacking the iconic thin mustache, lol.
Hahahaha 🥸
2:06 now that you mention it, this movie (and league of extraordinary gentlemen) was my first intro to vampires and werewolves so I'm realizing now that yeah, I also compare to other movies that have those two creatures 😂😂
Right? Especially if you watch them as a kid it’s easy to mix everything up
2:43 hey! mention! are you guys going to react to it for your channel too?
Ah! Benji quoting this movie with such love is making my heart happy! I feel like I’m watching this movie with friends through this reaction! I love this movie so much and would rent it over and over again as a young teen. You two are giving in this reaction! ❤The creatures are fantastic! The brides bat forms and the way the werewolves change were always the highlight for me! Rizzo, your first time reaction is priceless! ♥️
I love watching Benji be happy too!!!
I have this on DVD 😂 I love this movie❤❤❤❤ it’s so pretty
It’s such a blast!!!
it's so interesting that they wanted that shot of Hugh holding his dead girl, because Hugh also has a very similar scene in X-men, when he kills Jane
😭😭
Rizzo you know this movie is iconic no but I love this movie😭 *chefs kiss* for me
Absolutely chef’s kiss 💋
I love that the brother was a dancer so he got to do those wild wall moves
He had those down perfectly
I saw this at the movies when it came out. One of the absolute best! Love it ❤️❤️❤️
So good!!
This is one of my favorites and my mom was the one to introduce it to me but I didn’t know about the league of extraordinary gentlemen being apart of this world
I honestly didn't know if anyone else liked this movie but I also watched it a million times as a kid 😂
Haha same! I’ve been surprised how many people in the comments are also saying that they loved this as much as I did
Happy Early birthday benji!! 🎉🥳🎉
🙆🏾♂️
This movie is so much fun and it has so many iconic scenes! I wonder if you guys like Hellboy (2004) and Constantine, two of my favs too 🤭
It was hilarious to see Rizzo just guessing everything and Benji quoting quietly lol it was great guys, thank you for the video! And happy early birthday to Benji!! 🥳
Thank you!! 😂😂
This is one of my favorite monster movies to watch for Halloween
Great choice!
Most of the time, Frankenstein's monster is either called: The Creature or sometimes Adam!
Ooo good to know!
Are y’all reading my mind because I put this movie in my to watch list literally 2 days ago, and now I see this video appear.
🤯
Well I too watched this movie a lot growing up and I also loved it; especially cause of Dracula's theatrics that to this day I keep quoting and reenacting cause they're so fun to do!😂
His little jump down and flair killed me
@@PinkPopcast Understandable!🤣
Happy birthday Benji
Thank you 🙏🏽
One of my favorire movies as well, Benji!! We're great, lol!
Yes we are!!!
I can quote this film word for word
So underrated!
Effects
Plot
Characters
Kind of a shame we didn’t get a sequel but maybe it’s better that way.
It probably was better that way lol better to leave it at one awesome movie
So you two should definitely react to the Underworld series.
We want to soooo bad!
Samesies Benji! It’s one of my younger years faves too! ❤
🙌🙌
I loved this movie as a kid and it was hella popular in my school at the time. it was a blockbuster in my country. the cinemas were always packed and it had a long run. fast forward to years later, i learned about ratings and reviews, and got into video essays and film analysis and was surprised it was heavily panned and was even called "trash" by many. Even the other movies i enjoyed as a child and were blockbusters-like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Constantine, Prince of Persia, Legion, Brothers Grimm, James Cameron's Avatar(??) among others-were heavily criticized in the earliest video essays and reviews i've watched and read. I've come to accept since then that i must have a sheeple's taste in films. However recently i've seen some boost in ratings and more love for those movies. It's probably because of the nostalgia of the now-grown adults who immensely enjoyed them as kids.
My best friends and I still quote the bloopers to this very day lol. Plus, Hugh Jackman with long hair is everything! lol 🤪🤪 OHHH, I also saw the actor who played Frankenstein's in this, on Broadway, In the musical, " a young Frankenstein, he was the monster of course. He was great.
What line do you quote?
@@PinkPopcast we quote a lot. We really like ," FLIES WE GOT FLIES !" And " I'm a cold hearted Bitch.' lol Those are the quotes from the bloopers that we still quote most. lol 🐺
I really enjoyed this movie when I was a kid, i still do
i really miss the trend in 90s/2000s movies, tv shows even anime about hunters/slayers. vampire hunters, demon hunters, monster hunters, bounty hunters and so on😂
Huge Jackman acts his quarter-bouncing butt off in every goofy thing he stars in, and I respect it.
Bwahahahahaha - we respect the HELL out of it!
😂😂
I believe the actor who plays the frier was in 300. The one who was the story teller & lost his eye.
Oh snap! That’s where i recognize him from!
Do trick or treat next 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
We will be doing that for our Spooky channel!!!
I will ALWAYS recognize the actor who plays Faramir to be Carl.
I just love the campiness 😆
Have you seen the "prequel " cartoon to this? Same cast (voice work) ,explains the jekyll/Hyde hunt.
Wait WHAT!?!? 😮
@@PinkPopcast van Helsing: the London assignment (2004)
it’s crazy bc i heard of this movie for the first time ever the day before the youtube announcement that you had watched it. it was like a crazy coincidence to me. i would say fate, but i think i’ve just been rewatching your videos too much lately and i’m slowly going insane (joking, your videos are my lifeline. i just started a chronological rewatch of your channel 😭💗)
Hahah definitely fate I’d say!
Love this movie!
🖤
Happy Birthday, Benji! 🥳
Thank you 🥰🥰
Oh my gosh YESSSS-Thanks for reacting to this!!! ❤ I had this on repeat as a kid until the DVD was beyond scratched up 😂😂 Rizzo basically predicting everything sent me 💀
Also, just realized that the brother’s actor also played the strict dance instructor from Step Up 2 🕺😅
Same!! I had to buy this movie multiple times as a kid 😂 -B
I love you guys🤍 please can you do interview with the vampire next? The tv show or the movie, i'm happy with both!
Oh Happy early birthday Benjii❤❤
We’ve watched the first season of the TV show on our Patreon but we definitely plan on watching the movie on the channel soon!
Also Rizo when u mention "we were lovers in heaven", it occurred to me have you guys watch Good Omens 👀👀👀?
The little out of place hair is very sexy Rizzo, very Grease of you👏🏾😍😂
Tell me my hair looks sexy pushed back 😘
WRONG I asked for this! THANK YOU BENJI minds alike you and me what a genius movie
Seriously talking, I love this one so much and I vividly remember the 3 brides being my bi awakening
Stephen Sommers knows how to awaken the Bis!
yay!
Woot Woot!
I love you guys 😭🫶🏾 Please do the Mummy Series!!!
Omg yes, we LOVE the mummy!
@@PinkPopcast same here!! And you guys (Rizzo especially lol) put the bug in my ear for mentioning it haha. Might as well bless us Popstarzzz with ‘League of Extraordinary Gentleman’ as well 👁️👄👁️
That was hilarious. I'd remembered the film as being pretty lame when it came out, but now I recognise the stellar campiness I'm going to hunt it down for a Hallowe'en watch ;)
Such a great watch!
Happy Birthday Benji! 🎂
Rizzo were you thinking of Dorian Grey from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? 😂
Probably haha
Frankenstein’s monster’s name is Adam.
Makes sense lol
these like monster action/adventure movies from the 00s are just something else. I really fucked with Hellboy and Reign of Fire 🔥🔥🔥 not this one so much, but I big enjoy watching you all enjoy watching it lol
I FUCK with Hellboy 1 so much! The second one is amazing too but I always preferred the 1st!
@@PinkPopcast right? then there's me in 2006 thinking "wow this movie Pan's Labyrinth looks cool Guillermo rocks I loved Hellboy I bet it'll be sick" totally unprepared for the ensuing 🎶existential crisiiiiis 🎶
I had just recently watch this movie again after years and you should have seen my face when i realized i had mixed up the end of the lycan movie Underworld with this one cause i really thought they became a duo
😂
@PinkPopcast yall should react to the new(ish) interview with the vampire show its very queer and is really good and lestats actor is *chefs kiss also Claudia in that show is my fave character ❤
We actually watched that on our Patreon and are about to cover the second season!
@@PinkPopcast omg yasss!
MY MOVIE!!!!!!!
🙌🙌
Faramir..?! ❤
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! THAT’S WHERE I KNOW HIM FROM! HOW THE FUCK DID I RECOGNIZE BENI JUST FROM HIS VOICE BUT NOT FARAMIR’S FULL GODDAMN FACE!?!? 😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@PinkPopcast Glad I could help 😂 I always liked him, I haven’t seen this film in years, I forgot he was in this
6:30 I believe you’re thinking of the league of extraordinary gentlemen lol
Haha yup 😅
12:46 on the contrary (see what I did there?) it's hella impressive. the only movie i come close to knowing that well is home alone
Thanks 😂
I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I would argue this would have been an excellent start to the Universal Movie Monster connected universe! Way more than that weird Mummy remake. If only they had the guts to keep this going! 🐺🕊🦇🔩🧪🎩🤌🤘
Ugh right??? I wish Universal had an OLD SCHOOL Dark Universe. That logo was badass (even if they only used it once 😭)
@@PinkPopcast Facts! But honestly the only big bads I can think of for them would be cosmic horrors like Cthulhu, Aliens, or 80's horror villains, either way it sounds like it'd get real expensive, real fast.
This Dracula is my favourite, he's so over the top, and he throws a helluva party 🥳
🧛🏽♂️🧛🏽♂️🧛🏽♂️
Benji liking van helsing and loving the movie as much as i did makes me like them even more now!!!! i was obsessed with this movie as well when i was a kid
Oh it’s in his blood 🩸
Lol I would do the same thing that Benji said he did after watching this movie so many times. I would turn it off just as Anna ran in and be like "omg I can't believe everything worked out and everyone lived and they rode off into the sunset together!"🤣🤣
Hahaha best ending ever!
I always loved how dramatic and over the top this movie was, this Dracula and Gary Oldmans were my top 2 favourites
Best Draculas!
only certain actors can make the over-the-top acting feel convincingly real to the characters, & Gary Oldman is a master of doing it not in a cringe way lol
What's so funny about Hugh Jackman being cast as a big, burly, hairy man is before that he was a high ass tenor doing pirouettes on Broadway.
Heehee he’s a good actor!
Fun Fact, Hugh and Schuler Hensley did Oklahoma! together as Curly and Jud Fry, respectively. They're good friends and if Hugh can find a spot for him in movies he's doing he'll rec him because he likes working with him! They've done Someone Like You, Van Helsing, and Greatest Showman together
Obligatory trivia: Dracula and the dark haired vampire bride met on this movie and got married shortly after. Dracula is also the Duke from Moulin Rouge. And Benji, I quote this movie a lot too. “I’m a friar. I can curse all I want. Damn it.” and “Don’t be boring. Everyone who says that dies.”😄
Omg I had no idea!! Also great lines 😂
He's also Sherlock Holmes in a pretty weird adaptation of _The Hound of the Baskervilles._
@@HuntingViolets I became a little obsessed with this actor after seeing Van Helsing
and I watched that version. It’s been ages since I watched it. I wonder what I would think of it now.
@@PinkPopcast Yeah😊I think they have 3 kids now. And I still find it weird seeing him in Moulin Rouge. He’s actually a good looking guy and he’s so creepy in that movie😄
“Why does it smell like wet dog in here?” Enter the eye roll of the century. 😂
A roll that could win me money in Vegas
Loved this movie so much when it came out that I saw it twice in theaters lol Also Kate Beckinsale's and Hugh Jackman's chemistry is 🔥
🔥
I will forever say this movie still has the best werewolf transformation I’ve ever seen in a movie the fur and skin peeling off looked so good even for the time. I absolutely fell in love with Kate because of this movie (and of course underworld) and the brides!? ATE the flowing, sexy dresses while literally tormenting this small town slayyy.😂
My favorite quote: “if you’re going to k*ill someone, k*ll them don’t just stand there talking about it” 😂 did all that talking all movie and didn’t burst a grape
That’s a top line for me too!!!
@@PinkPopcast now we have to convince you guys to watch ‘Warm Bodies’ (2014) the oddly heartwarming zombie romance 😂and the cast is actually pretty stacked.
I can’t y’all sounded like the vampire from sesame street in the beginning😂😂. I’m so sorry 😂
😂😂😂
Stephen Sommers and Bob Ducsay were a perfect team! The Mummy movies, Van Helsing, The Jungle Book in 2004 (please react to that one day). Their movies always remind me of the classic Hollywood adventure movies. They really should have headed the Universal Monster Universe.
Absolutely!!
Yay so excited for spooky season videos! Happy almost birthday Benji! The main thing I love about this movie is the costumes Anna’s corset fit and red coat plus a sword my lesbian heart! And the brides devoured their outfits.
Oh the costume department ATE with these costumes!
You guys should watch INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE for more horror-esque camp fun!
The movie?? We really want to!
Yes, Tom Cruise really killed it as Lestat!
@@PinkPopcast watch the series pls😭
@@jfdhhjkgy THIS. The series is everything too!
interview with the vampire(1994) and Dracula untold(2014) are my all time vamp favorites. Could watch every day honestly
Also hotel Transilvania(2012) but don’t judge.
No judgment haha
I love the mix when one of you has seen and loved a movie while the other is seeing it for the first time! And quoting the film is fun. Ignore the haters.
🫶🏽 holy shit thank you so much! We need that encouragement 🙆🏾♂️
You two and the reactions have been so comforting the past weeks 🌼
Aww thank you! I’ve enjoyed our picks too!
You mentioned the mummy, would love to see a reaction to that even though you’ve seen it before!
Also saw someone’s comment talking about constantine with keanu reeves, that would also be a fun reaction!
Oh we love BOTH of those movies!!!
One of the most underrated and underappreciated movie masterpieces of all time!
Love all the steampunk themes!
I always love a good steampunk movie!
Still have it on VHS from the time I watched it so many times as a kid and I'm never giving it away!
Yes!! Everyone needs to experience this movie!
I feel like y’all would really love Deadpool. Just the first one
and maybe 2020 Birds or Prey movie
One of these days we will venture into Marvel movies!!!! 🍿
@@PinkPopcastJust do Deadpool & Wolverine, even without seeing others it’s hilarious! It’s..like a musical action movie
Yay! so glad you watched this movie! It was also one of my favorite movies when I was younger!
It's definitely my bisexual awakening.
love the combination of Rizzo calling everything and Benji mouthing the words. also, love the mimicking of the fast-talking/terrible accents 🤣
WHAT TERRIBLE ACCENTS!?!? THAT IS EXACTLY HOW WE (Italians) SOUND…
… 🤣🤣🤣
@@PinkPopcast oh I did not mean to imply that your accent Rizzo was not perfect! 😂😇
