Indeed, I have yet to ride a bike that beats it for overall all-round use - excepting off-road. It has the looks of a superbike an the comfortable riding position of a naked. Epic. My latest review of this bike was ruclips.net/video/Bf50n0OTB6I/видео.html I will definitely go on one again in 2020. Ade
I have no idea why you any thumbs down. Your later review on the z1000sx is even better in my opinion. I’ve made up my mind to purchase a 1000sx ninja 2020 model in July. With a few extra’s not many as the bikes almost perfect, just heated grips a gel seat and hand protectors . In blazed emerald green. Stunning totally stunning yes I’ve had a few options but the tracer 900 gt and the versys 1000 se have gone by the wayside. It’s not price as much as looks where the 1000sx wins hands down. Great great review
Yeah, still one of favourite allrounder bikes. The trick was making it comfy and practical but somehow looking like a supersports racer. I love the green but i do like to stand out. With the new model are they finally bringing it up to date with TFT snd full tech? Ade
hi mate, you should make your videos on national speed limit roads so we can enjoy watching it instead of cringing at you breaking the speed limit through 30s and 40s. Would make it a lot more enjoyable.
I have a question. I have gsxr600 and it is like a stove between my legs. And chasis is crazy hot always. Everything gets crazy hot very soon. How is this bike regarding geting too hot or geting the chasis alsea too hot. That is really anoying and making me want to buy something less sport and more tourer. Tnx guys!
I would think a heavier clutch lever is ok with touring because your not shifting as frequent & a light clutch lever would be better for the around town day to day frequent shifting. Good review though this bike will replace my 06 VFR800 when I'm ready to retire her, unless Honda steps out of the geezer box and designs the VFR with passion as they did with the 6th gen.
I have a 2013 ZX636r with mods which is super fast and agile. I want slightly more comfort so would I enjoy this bike. Would it be quick enough and does it handle well. On the plus side I would have a tourer in this bike also. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I think about a demo.
+Jeff Iles This SX will never manage to outperform the ZX6 on the twisties but it will have more top end and is FAR more comfortable and practical for longer journeys. It has a lot of power and the delivery is also a lot of fun. Definitely ride it. If you find the sporty part fine then you will LOVE the touring ability. Its like a proper tourer but one that puts a large smile on your face. :)
+Jeff Iles Take some money with you because after the test ride it will be hard to part with it. I bought one for my wife to replace her ER6n. It is 4 months old now, only used for leisure and has nearly 8000 miles on the clock. Yes, this bike really is that good, you just want to ride it everywhere.
cott10r I;ve now been on dozens of bikes and this Z1000SX still remains one of the best all round - buy one bike onlly - motorcycles I have come across. It really has it all. So long as one like the looks, one should also enjoy how it feels, and ultimately will be a great buying decision. Have you got stock exhausts or any other extras?
I enjoyed the demo so far but had to finish early. Riding at some of those speeds in a built up 30 mph limit is asking to visit a mortuary slab and does bikers image no good. Otherwise I like. Keep safe.
+Peter Burridge Yeah, its a balance of wishing to explore the dynamics of the bike in a review at every opportunity and not binning it. I have got a lot better but still like a bit of speed - cough.
+Windy Run Sorry for the delay. Current status.... In my garage.... A BMW R1200GS Honda 600RR Honda SP1 Honda PCX Alas, only the scooter is mine :) The others are a friends of my other half. My Panigale is awaiting a decision still - waiting on me. Might just leave it and get something new.
gloryths Worthing/Lancing on the South Coast - The bike was from Alfs Motorcycles in Worthing, a couple of nice guys in there and a good collection of bikes. I don't live there. I am about 50 miles north of them.
True. I'm only the same as 95% of the rest of the public (and off duty Police) Dangerous driving in the wrong conditions and circumstances is bad though and we all make mistakes.
You have a good way of reviewing a motorcycle but you REALLY need to do some advanced training to learn road positioning! Riding into on-coming traffic and expecting them to get out of your way is seriously uncool and dangerous for all concerned!
Apologies for the delay. I hear ya. I am a bad rider, for sure. I know this and I need to do some sort of extra course to make me realise my passion is well below my skill level. Annoyingly, my two accidents were due to slower speed and being distracted. At speed I was always super focused, but still ultimately dangerous.
kris iwaniuk Maybe I was wrong! Though I believe it is switchable with one of the buttons. It will rotate between engine and outside temperature. I hope I am right.. I don't want you spending 30 minutes trying to find something that doesn't exist !! :)
You are more than likely right as you own the bike and I only had it for an hout! :) Just had a look at the spec sheet and it doesn.t mention it. Must have been the other bike. Temp-Gate ! :)
i hurt my ears trying to hear clear, and get dizzy from the cam.i applause your effort but next time plz, speak without the helmet and put the camera on the bike.ty.
The review is good, but the picture looks terrible, the bike looks quashed and much smaller than real, like looking at a cartoon!! I think all reviewers should try having the video from cameras looking as real as possible. Just my thoughts:-)
Yeah, weirdly on the last couple the screens have gone from Widescreen to normal size. I must have changed something without realising... Bloody cameras :)
So, test ride a sports tourer around a built up urban area and make out you know what you are talking about.Next time.............take it touring, two up, with luggage.
+2427Mick Fair point. this was just for review. After all, most people will ride it alone. I did take the missus out on the Crosstourer review and it does make a big difference of course so it would be great to do this on all tourer reviews. The main problem is that the dealers do NOT allow you to do this and it would be an expensive mistake to drop it. Not worth the risk. :(
Hubrisgoat You're not wrong. :( In this case, I didnt have the time and if you have been on the South Coast of England the traffic is a total nightmare and you really need 20 minutes just to get into the country. Worth, Brighton, Eastbourne, Southampton, Bournemouth... app pretty but a traffic nightmare.
Yep, I know that part of the world, what about taking Titch Hill to Steyning? Fab views from up there and long stretches with great long distance visibility for oncoming traffic.. 20 minutes from heart of Worthing. I understand the issues, but without seeing the kwacker put through its paces it's hard to get a proper feel for what it's really like.. But if you only had 20 minutes in all, fair enough...
Yeah, I would have love to have taken it to the Downs, or even just that road that starts at the Triumph garage which can be pretty cool. I have ridden so many bikes i know exactly what it will be like now just by feel. What I knew pretty quickly was that this is a superb bike that does it all really well. It is still on my favorites as the best best ONE bike that you could by.
Which Bike Been looking for a do-everything kind of bike for a while. Selling my Street 'R' and Daytona and this is the current favourite! Thanks for the review :)
YarekBalear Wow, completely different to the Daytona and somewhat different to the Street. The first thing you will notice is just how comfirtable the Sx is. Then you will notice the engine sound which hasn't got that Triumph whistle! :) The Sx is a VERY good bike and if I was ever only to own one bike then this might well still be the top of the list.
Which Bike Well, after my test ride last week I managed to show enough restraint to wait a day before ordering it. Pick it up a week tomorrow with Scorpion exhausts :)
:) Great! I know what waiting for a bike is like, you must be itching to get on it again. Tell us all about it on the forum!www.whichbike.com/motorcycle-forum
I THINK SX 1000 IS THE BEST ALL ROUNDER. I HAVE A 2015 RED AND BLACK, ENJOYING IT AND WOULDN'T REPLACE IT UNTIL I GET A SX H2.

Great sports tourer from Kawasaki, the Z1000 SX. Its is mroe a sports, sports tourer than a sports tourer tourer if you know what i mean! :)
now that is a nice bike, i thinjk i prefer that to the vfr from your other video actually. nice looking, looks really sporty.
Nat Jacobs I prefer it ti the VFR but its close.
A fantastic bike I have one with the same cans its all the bike I could want I LOVE IT by the way good demo vid and good comentary
+S Do
sorry for the delay.
THanks! Great bike. I still really like this bike as a great value all rounder.

That color of motorcycle is really starting to appeal to me.
Tony Radbrooke Yeah, looks more stealthy and classy.
The green is a bit lary for some.

True about the lever.
Honda seem to be making bikes with less passion but more safety.
If sales start to suffer, then maybe they will revert.
have a 2011 z1000sx also have the same exhausts and double bubble screen is their any differance between the new model
Not a great deal. Older one has a slightly more raw feel which some may prefer. All years are good.
I have a 2013 ZX636r with mods which is super fast and agile.
I want slightly more comfort so would I enjoy this bike.
Would it be quick enough and does it handle well.

I just traded my 2012 concours for one of these, im hoping it was a good move, i wanted something more nimble & lighter!

nothing yet, i literally just bought it. 1st thing is to get givi hard bags & get it ready for its main mission in life which is sport touring.
cott10r Cool - -tell us about your experiences on the whichBike forum! :)
www.whichbike.com/motorcycle-forum
cott10r I just bought a 2015 1000 Ninja AND kept my 2013 Concours. The best of two worlds.
Damn right. nice plan Joe!!
How are you getting on with the Ninaj? Anything you do NOT like so far?
I find the clutch is a lot lighter after I switched to stubby levers - not as much travel.
mobit76
That is a very good idea! Simple and effective.
+mobit76 New bike for 2016 has slipper clutch and by all accounts is a lot lighter than the older version.
Ah, thanks, Jeff. Good info.
I will definitely take that bike out and see how it feels. A super all rounder.

Beautiful bike
Yep, I agree. Very capable all-rounder.
Which Bike my dream bike
Nice video. What area is that bro?
gloryths Worthing/Lancing on the South Coast - The bike was from Alfs Motorcycles in Worthing, a couple of nice guys in there and a good collection of bikes. I don't live there. I am about 50 miles north of them.
Thanks a lot chief!! Well done.
gloryths Thanks, keep coming back!
Nice to see you on the Whichbike.com forum as well!
why not review how many times you ignored the highway code/broke the law?
True. I'm only the same as 95% of the rest of the public (and off duty Police)

Is this bike available in the US? Thank you
+E.S. BiH
Sorry for the delay.
No idea!!! Probably but under a different name!
+E.S. BiH Yes is the 1000 Ninja
Pasculli
Makes sense! :)
+Pasculli Thank you
E.S. BiH You are most welcome...
I don't think it's exactly the same chassis as the naked
No idea myself but they do 'look' different at first glance.
Where's outside temp displays as mine don't have it
kris iwaniuk Maybe I was wrong! Though I believe it is switchable with one of the buttons. It will rotate between engine and outside temperature. I hope I am right.. I don't want you spending 30 minutes trying to find something that doesn't exist !! :)
I ride one and all you can flick between is clock and time
Umm.. maybe I got it mixed up with the Versys1000 which I rode on the same day.
Could be, I'm going to check out this
You are more than likely right as you own the bike and I only had it for an hout! :)
Just had a look at the spec sheet and it doesn.t mention it. Must have been the other bike. Temp-Gate ! :)
No offence but your an accident waiting to happen!!! Like the bike though 😂
Very nice bike!!!
Ummmm. looks like a top notch all rounder. looks good, sounds good, goes good. a triple threat! LOL
Reece Evans ha, LOL. triple threat, like it.
i hurt my ears trying to hear clear, and get dizzy from the cam.i applause your effort but next time plz, speak without the helmet and put the camera on the bike.ty.
Aye, fair comment. My mic often grumbles. All my latest videos now have a fixed camera mount.
The review is good, but the picture looks terrible, the bike looks quashed and much smaller than real, like looking at a cartoon!!
I think all reviewers should try having the video from cameras looking as real as possible.

Here we go we go diddledodidoo
Shame you take it on some decent roads
+Phil C
Yeah, for sure. In the short ride I did know or sure that it is a VERY good bike, almost the perfect all-rounder.
you'd think a reviewer would take the bike out on some decent roadage, twisties, fast lane blasting etc. But no, Worthing, FFS.
Hubrisgoat
You're not wrong. :(

Great. let us know how it goes.
Better looking than a vfr?
Riding like an idiot through housing estates on someone else's bikes 👍
If Honda brought out an updated VFR with TFT, etc, then I would love one.
I was more reckless in those days.
Ade
Kindly focus your camera to the bike a little closer, not on the pavement.Blah blah blah,
Yeah, I buggered this up recently on one of my new videos. I need one of those cameras with the screen on the back to check the framing!
Great sports tourer from Kawasaki, the Z1000 SX. Its is mroe a sports, sports tourer than a sports tourer tourer if you know what i mean! :)
