RAGBRAI week!

We are Dan and Louise, partners in life and in adventure, cycling unassisted across America. We rode across Iowa with the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI), with 16,000 other riders!

I was on the same path at the same time. We must have just missed each other. Beautiful ride. I started in Rapid City and took the Mickelson trail before heading East, eventually the RAGBRAI.

I live in San Diego. I flew to Rapid City so I could start my ride on the Mickelson trail.

Looks like Ragbrai was a nice change. Enjoyed hearing about what you have experienced and the comparison to the settlers that crossed the country. I often think of those settlers on our drives through some of the desolate areas in America. An amazing life experience that you will be able to share with your grandchildren. Louise definitely deserves a spa WEEK when this is over. I agree that not many women would do this …we happen to know three women that have done cross country cycling/camping trips. Hope we can see you when you cross into Canada
