  • mrhmag.com - MRH What's Neat columnist Ken Patterson looks at Dirk Reynolds' HO model of the Fountain, IL levee railroad bridge. This is one sweet bridge, with 4 different kinds of bridges in one span! Nothing like the prototype to create something that we'd say was just wrong if it was a model. Part of the May 2014 issue of Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine.

That is one superbly model bridge!! It doesn't get better than this type of modeling. My wife, who is not a modeler, stretch over my computer in amazement when she saw the model. Her own words, "that a photograph of a real bridge right". Thanks a lot for posting it can! and a second thanks for the tip about people in the photos. RT

You produce amazing videos. I watch them as I work away in my train room. They always have something I can use while I work away on my layout. Thanks, Ken.

Great point about bringing your images to life by adding people. Do the commercially available people come that well detailed/painted or do you enhance them? Even though they aren't the subject of the photos, and are a little soft, it's hard to tell that they aren't real. Also another great point about changing your lighting. Besides the obvious energy savings, I like the quality of light too.

Love your old WhatsNeet shows from 2014....Nice & simple.....You might think of grouping some together and placing them on RUclips with commercials to finance them

Hi Ken, I am now 100% convinced LED is the way to go. Your video is perfect timing, Im just getting ready to install the lighting and it will be track lights with the LED bulbs. What brand and bulb are you using?? The light looks perfect.

*****..Thanks for getting back Ken. Your so right, give it a couple of years and when mass production kicks in to high gear, they will drop in price for sure. Love your work.

Steven Bruni yeah. not sure. would make scene they are awfully close to the tracks. really no reason for them to be that close. or really even be there with that module at all.
