So sad for the injured gymnasts and their coaches. This 2024 Paris Olympics women’s gymnastics team is still the most difficult to be named to. The level of depth is amazing.
80s baby who remembers meeting Mary Lou Retton as a small child at gymnastics: I don't think people realize how fundamentally fantastic it is to see Simone competing. Typically speaking in Gymnastics you don't see people competing past their early twenties on the Olympic level in women's gymnastics. Watching her routines blew my mind. What she has accomplished is greater than any other female gymnast in ..well, gymnastics history. I hope she continues to empower women from all walks of life. Lord knows I think she's inspiring and I'm 44.
I was rooting for Suni and Kayla, but with Kayla most likely out of the picture now due to the injury, as long as Suni's on the team and not as an alternate, I'm happy
Um...you do know that men's gymnastics and women's gymnastics are completely different sports, right? Simone doesn't know how to do parallel bars, pommel horse, or rings because she's literally never done them or trained them because that's not part of her sport. High bar may seem similar to uneven bars, but the skills used are actually very different. Even floor has different requirements. The only thing she COULD potentially compete with men on with little to no training in men's gymnastics would be vault, and I guarantee you, her vaults are definitely competitive with the elite men. Would she be unmatched like with women's? Of course not. Would she be a medalist contender if competing with men? With a lot of luck on her side, potentially once in a while. But she'd definitely still consistently rank among the top 10, and most likely top 6, of vaulters even when competing with men.
I would not be on her team if you paid me everything in the world because Simone likes to ditch her teammates in favor of her own well being leaving them high and dry and stranded.
@ZenoRyu0807_ I have a great life, and you wanna know why? It's because I've never left my teammates high and dry just to benefit myself. How do you like them apples?
@likeisaidjenkins3689 I guess you would know all about trolling losers behind the keyboard on a social media site, wouldn't you? I would imagine it probably runs in your family.
@@AwesomeBabyBoomer oh, I guess she should have ended up like Elena Mukhina or Julissa Gomez, both dead now, but paralyzed from the neck down doing gymnastics moves!! yeah, let's break a neck for a piece of metal! Unbelievable how people DON'T THINK!!!!

She didnt bow out of the Tokyo Olympics.
Will she be competing with biological men? That would be a wonderful AB. C. Story

Call it what you want, but at least she's not a trolling loser hiding behind a keyboard on a social media site.
