Kathu is the most popular Tamil cartoon series for children. Its the story of cute kitten named Kathu (Kathy) and her friends. Kathu is a family story. Kathu is a cute kitten living with her mom, dad and younger brother Kittu. Appu the squirrel and three grasshoppers are her best friends. The neighbours include uncle crane, the oriole family, the kingfisher family, Mother hen and her chicks, the thieves Chundan and Chindan, and the villain Kandan. There pranks and plays make the songs and stories of this animation movie.
Kathu deals with essential life values like Obedience, courage, empathy, honesty and much more. The first volume of Kathu was released in 2011. The programme grabbed attention and became a superhit among children. In 2011 Kathu was selected as the best children's programme by Government of Kerala. Two more volumes of Kathu has been released so far and each one is warmly accepted by kids parents and kindergarten teachers at the same time. This story (Envy) is from the second volume of Kathu. Now days Kathu, the girl child is an integral part of every kindergarten.
