Excellent review and video... Question: For variety of different carbon fiber shaft used on the video, was the same cue tip installed or each one shaft had different cue tip?
If my revo deflected that much, I'd miss half the rack when breaking lol. I hit the second ball every time with low left English. Actually breaking from the left side, aiming for the second ball, if it deflected that much to the right, I'd miss the rack completely.
Different chalk amounts and different tips are two variables that could affect the performance of the shaft. Did they explain how they control these variables and is there a link to the original publication?
Who hits a ball like that unless breaking, I question the speedometer. Looked more like 16-20 mph. I've never hit a ball that hard using English, except when breaking.
USING FACTORY SETUPS JUST AS IF YOU BOUGHT THEM. IF THEY CHANGED TIPS PEOPLE WOULD SAY WHY DIDNT YOU LEAVE FACTORY BTIP. CUE MAKER PUTTING TIP ON THAT YIELDS BEST RESULTS
Wasn't this concept of testing already labeled as problematic due the tight grip of the robotic arm. You could influence this with a different ferrule setup
All Predator shafts are made to represent the same low deflection characteristics. From the first 314 released in 1994 up to today. they only make low deflection shafts and they all play about the same.
Meucci was the first to use a mechanical arm to test deflection. I have a Jflowers cue that shoots amazing BUT I bought it on Amazon. I liked the stick so much that I wanted to buy their break stick but the break stick wasn't on Amazon. I went to jflowers site and placed the order. This is when my view on Jflowers changed. They clearly didn't have the stick in stock but that wasn't disclosed on the website. I waited, and waited, and waited, I sent email after email and in each i was assured that the stick would be in stock any day now. Three months later I still didnt have the stick. I sent an email requesting a refund which went unanswered for a week then eventually they did give me my money back. Never do business with a company that takes your money for a product they dont yet have. They should have listed the stick as OUT OF STOCK OR UNAVAILABLE but they didnt do that.
Bro it literally says on their site which cues they have in stock and which ones they don't. You obviously bought a cue on backorder and didn't notice until after the fact. Don't be made because you can't be bothered to pay attention
Since it's impossible to control every variables possible, what you are saying is that any test whatsoever would be wrong, so we sould not tey to compare shafts at all, since every possible test qould be 'innacurate'.
Yes and no. The absolute result is not as important as the comparaison itself. Whatever the deflection was 70mm ou 80mm. If one obtains 70mm and the other 75mm in the same conditions that tells you something.
Funny that this "Leaked" video is more like a promotional video for J Flowers and @Cue Listings is an ambassador for J Flowers. If anyone buys this shaft based on this video they deserve what they get. When you buy a shaft or cue from an American cuemaker it comes with a warranty. You can email the company or call their support number. J Flowers does not have this. They are in China and they dont honor any type of warranty. You will never get your money back. Another fact about Jflowers is that their website always says their products are in stock. When you buy something they take your money then the net day you get an email letting you know that the item is on back order and will take an extra week. The next week they say the same thing that they need another week. Then you have to send a ton of emails back and forth to try to get your money back.
??? Where did you get your info from. I ordered my cue Jf20-03RF from them and had no issues at all - cue was in my hand approx twelve days after I ordered it - I live in Canada and knew it would be a slight delay. As for the JFlowers site it does not always show all items in stock … in fact the SMO shaft says it is out of stock until April 19th the last time I checked. Can’t speak for the warranty as I have no issue with the cue. Maybe I was just lucky but I don’t think so.
To all the people bitching about ferrule, tip arm grip. First, they are using the shaft as you"the consumer" will buy it, no fancy cue tip no fancy ferrule and using the same chalk. Second, the arm grip is equal on all the shaft. The difference in speed is due to the construction of the shaft just in case some dumbasses here don't know anything about material and construction. P.S. Tip diameter is irrelevant. A lot of players think that smaller diameter equals more spin. Wrong.
I have this Jflowers shaft and a Whyte Carbon. The Jflowers is cheaper for a reason. That's why you don't see many on the tour. If at all. Plus, Jflowers has horrible customer service.
These tests are so inaccurate, I would never consider this for buying a shaft. First , does every shaft have the identical same tip? 2nd , are they all identically shaped the same ? If any of these 2 questions are a no, then the test is extremely not accurate.
Agree. In the end, none of this really matters. Is super low deflection better than low deflection? Nobody really knows. In the REAL WORLD, does carbon fiber outperform wood? Hard to say. From my observation, about 70% of the pros use carbon fiber and they win about 70% of the time. Josh Filler recently got beat twice by players using wood cues. If carbon fiber is so much better, why is he losing to inferior players using wood? So, I am not saying wood is better. I'm just saying I don't buy the hype surrounding carbon fiber and low deflection. Better? Maybe, but it's not really noticable on the score sheet.
@@JohnBowl14690 You are certainly right. I think a bigger factor is to be used to your cue shaft and its own deflection. The best snooker players use wooden shafts and do magical with the cue ball.
That's because of the shaft. Wood obviously slower because it's wood. Carbon fiber faster because it's harder. Same speed of the effort of the shot just one shaft produces more speed than others.
@@laurentsamson8927it's a BS test, nobody shoots that hard, unless breaking, and you control the speed you shoot at. I don't even break that hard, looked like the clock said 30+. I've shot with most. What league and level do you shoot at?
Im sure they're not the same tips and tip radius. Im still not convince. Tips hardness and shape radius will also affect the deflection
Looking forward to testing SMO vs Whyte Carbon❤
and vs kielwood
What version of each shaft was tested?

Which revo? 11.8, 12.4, 12.9?
Don't bother. I have the Revo 12.4 and I can tell you that you will love the Crical shaft for under $200.
I been waiting for him to post in so long 😭
basically the same test meucci did on his stuff yrs ago.
Nice!, we are waiting for the discount code 😁
Will there be any discount code?
I hope you have a chance to review the Cuetec Avid.
I know this video is old but what’s better 12.5 or 11.8
Wasn't this concept of testing already labeled as problematic due the tight grip of the robotic arm. You could influence this with a different ferrule setup
Bob Meucci had this setup at least 10 years ago for testing wood shafts. Why did you not test a Meucci shaft as well?
The shafts in the test is the most sold. There are maybe 50 shafts on the market...
I tried meucci carbon, one of the highest deflection.
MEUCCI CF SHAFTS HAVE MOST DEFLECTION, ITS WELL KNOWN, THEY PUT WOOD INSIDE THERE CF SHAFTS.
what is lower deflection, z shaft or ignite because from experience of using z shaft I can say that its close to a revos deflection
All Predator shafts are made to represent the same low deflection characteristics. From the first 314 released in 1994 up to today. they only make low deflection shafts and they all play about the same.
Z SHAFT LESS DEFLECTION THAN CF SHAFT. JOSHUA FILLER REQUESTED PREDATOR MAKE HIM A CF SHAFT WITH AS LOW DEFLECTION AS THE V SHAFT.
Would you be interested in trying mine? Bowtie ‘“Spectacle” Cue
Sure, but you’d have to send it to Thailand 🤷🏼♂️
Bob from Meucci did this back in the 80s....he's way ahead of his time! search it on youtube its still uploaded here.
Just get a Crical shaft. I have the Revo that I paid $450 for. I can not tell the difference. The Crical goes for less than $200.

T looked like jf tip size was smaller

Plus tip makes a difference aswell as shaft stiffness and diameter, machine is hitting at same speed of course
