- I take a look at Manager, an Australian-made business bookkeeping software package that has a few interesting features and a very opinionated attitude towards how accounting can be made easier.

Thanks for this review! Just curious, what accounting software do you recommend for solo entrepreneurs? This seems like a good product but was wondering what you prefer and why.
If you're using it to run a business, I think you have to bite the bullet and use some cloud-based subscription service: the usefulness of working bank feeds is too powerful to ignore.
Of the various options in the US, I like Xero the most, because (a) it's at the right place in the price/value curve and (b) it's very streamlined and simple - any accountant will recognize what it's doing. QuickBooks Online is a little too much of a facehugger and wants you to "do QuickBooks" instead of "doing accounting".

i have a question my income invoice is made on 25 every month than when i want to do report it come only from day 1 so how can i change it

What if i want to pay my 1000 rent from cash i want to pay 800 and from bank 200. If journal entry option is available the i make this both payment in one entry but journal entry dont show cash option thats why i have to make 2 entry. ? Or there are any other way to do same entry in one time
I recall there being some way to do this, but I don't remember offhand. I'll take a look sometime this weekend and see if I can explain it to you.
Manager's strictness about the bank account vs journal account distinction is something people complain about on the Manager forums frequently.

I am very much impressed by your explanation. Can you please explain that how to record a payment against VAT payables as I am VAT exempted, however have to pay input VAT every time I purchase goods?
Simply put, Whenever I make a purchase of goods, I pay VAT and after recording the payment, this Input paid VAT shows up in the liabilities.
I hope you understand my question.

Hi, Syed! You can set your business's logo from the Settings -> Business Logo page, and uploading an image. That image will show on all purchase orders and invoices.
If you're instead asking how to associate a picture with just one specific inventory item, I'm not sure.

I checked the official forum at forum.manager.io and found this answer, which implies that there's no official support for photos on inventory, but there is a workaround that involves putting HTML markup in certain fields:
