Thank you, I looked everywhere to see if it was possible to collapse and open the the BD without taking the dish or diffuser panels off, and you showed quite clearly that yes you can. :)
Ok! This is a nice video and I just ordered a 36" cos I fell in love with the fact that it came with a grid and for a very affordable price of $90+ tax included. I just found your channel and I am glued!!! Thanks and be blessed bro
Thanks for video. Can u show how to close and open with dish open bit slowly. I notice you kept your hand inside through zip open, but not sure what to pull inside. Thank would be helpful.
To brother, nice review and personally, I order one myself today before watching your video. But I’m happy that I’m now at my desk watching your video. Thanks for the review
I use Glow umbrellas often. I love their deep versions and have several different sizes. I never invested in their softboxes and have always preferred the Profoto boxes for quality despite the cost. A few months ago I did finally invest in the EZ-Lock 20" Deep Parabolic by Glow and I love it. I'm not sure if it will last as long as the Profoto boxes but at a 6th of the cost, you can't go wrong.
+Barry Kidd I love them too.. I already invested in deep parabolic from Fotodiox and surprisingly they’ve lasted over 2 years. The quality of the Ez Lock feels a little more premium than the Fotodiox so I’m certain they’d last long. Our currency against the dollar isn’t as strong lol so Profoto has never been an option for me lol
Don't get too caught up in the price point of Profoto modifiers. If you compare their umbrellas or softboxes to those of other companies like Interfit, the design and build quality is pretty much exactly the same. Almost like Profoto uses the same factories some other companies use for their modifiers, just that they charge stupid prices for their modifiers. The build quality is no different. The price point fools a lot of people. My mentor, who uses Profoto lights exclusively, and used to use their modifiers almost exclusively at one point as well, doesn't buy their modifiers anymore ever since he tried modifiers from Interfit, Glow, and Phottix, and found that he could get the same build quality for a whole lot less. We even found the designs to be essentially identical. Even he finds Profoto prices ridiculous and hasn't bought a Profoto modifier for the last couple years now.
+Timothy Lewis it’s a relatively small beauty dish so I know it’ll mostly be good for portraits or closeup beauty images. You can use it to light 3/4 and full body images too but it’s going to be contrasty and slightly harsh because of how far back you’d place the light and how small it will even get when it’s further away from your subject.. I’ll definitely be testing it out soon..
@@Phloshop Thanks for your view. I shoot portraits, from full body shots to close up images. Is there a modifier you could recommend that I can start out with using?
@@tlewis.97 At the moment you can get this.. amzn.to/2PKZG9t I have been using it for over a year and its my go to. A slightly cheaper alternative is amzn.to/2FIvrKl
Helpful to see how “EZ” it is to setup, however-would it have killed you to clear off your table first? Did you really have to leave your flower pot, game controller, phone (that kept blowing up), and your Godox AD 600 on the table?!? You even paused the video to “clear the table”-yet left all of your extra belongings there (are you trying to impress us with your table’s functionally?)! And why would you open the grid first (you forgot about it until you were done too)? Also with outer diffuser (or as you call it baffle) installed-your lighting with be the same coming out as a deep parabolic softbox. The only time it will be wider or narrower, is if you leave the diffusers off.

Great stuff! Thanks for the content. I’ll be checking out a bunch of your other videos.
Thank you so much! Also let me know how you feel about the videos you've seen so far!!
Best!

Never works for me with any of my Glow modifiers lol. But going through the front doesn't bother me *shrug*
Good video. Simple, to the point and informative. I really needed to see how to lock in the light and you did it thanks
Thank you very much

+Olukayode Ojo all of them come with grids actually! That’s what I Kobe about the glow products too. And it’s cheaper than what I owned prior.
Hi there , while it is opening and closing , did you experience any diffuculties ?
I have a 20". The deflector plate does not fit like that. I guess the deflector plate slides down
Thanks for video.

Oh that’s great! Let me know when you get it and how you feel about it 🙏🏾
What would you use this 25” glow dish for? What type and style of photography? And how would it compare to the deep glow dish
Great idea! I will make a dedicated video on this!
Fantastic job with the presentation!
Thanks a lot James.. I appreciate it
I’m planning on getting one if these for my VL150 for video/film! Have come to prefer Beauty dishes over parabolic soft boxes as of recent
What about the regular softboxes? I think those are more manageable than deep parabolic softboxes too.
i close mines without dish i cant get it open
great video thanks! trying to decide what beauty dish I should get for my new strobe
+Angie Myhre have you decided on what you’d want?
@@Phloshop I decided on the 25 inch white beauty dish 🙌
Can you use a ad200 pro speedlight with this?
Yes you can. You just need the Bowens S bracket.

Can i attach it to Broncolor Siros?
The mount is a Bowens mount.. I am not sure if they have a Broncolor version...
@@Phloshop thank you.
Is this piece of gear only compatible with the 600 Series? (Strobes)
It is compatible with any light that uses the Bowens mount

Did you put out the video using this beauty dish showing photo samples?
Not yet! But thanks for reminding me.. i will do that soon
Hey man, can you tell me what the small dish does?
Hey, it’s supposed to help reduce hot spots..
Can you pls make a video on how to fix the strobe light and the beauty dish together on a tripod?
+Joke Soyombo I’ll definitely do a breakdown soon when I’m doing a shoot using strobes so I’ll be sure to include this bit in the video.
