I used to operate that subway in the 80’s. Whenever I hear those sounds, I can still smell that smell of the trains😂

Your voice and delivery remind me of Jerry Howarth the legendary former Blue Jay's announcer. Especially as you have those pauses where we can hear the sounds of the city. Just like Jerry Howarth had pauses where you could hear the sounds of the baseball game.

One of my best buds use to live around Galleria and near that Ubisoft building. It use to be some kind of factory, I can't recall what it was. Crazy how much has changed in the area. I recall hitting up the now gone standalone McD's at that Galleria after airsoft games, and they had some of the cutest girls man the drive-through. And my old karate school who did March Break and Summer break programs would fo to that community center for swimming days.

Great show as usual, thanks for touring my old neigborhood, the train overpass by Ubesoft was mind blowing. I remember walking over the ground level tracks decades ago, nice improvement to the area. Around the Galleria though will be a heaveyly congested area, even if most are on bikes. I didn't see any parking, must be all underground, hope they dug 20 stores below grade :) Thanks again for the walk around tour Johnny.

That "Ubisoft" building and many other blocks were part of a huge General Electric factory. I remember that water tower from when I was a kid.

WOW, I haven't been back to the Galleria Mall area in years, but seeing those condos coming up there are something else! I spent a lot of time in that mall as a kid, there was a carpet store my mom loved to visit ,and a video games stand where I used to check out all the Sega games. Looks like that area of the mall is gone. Great video.

The structure under construction near Galleria Mall is the new community center. The section close to Dupont St is the pool. Retail will be at the base of all the condos
