I just heard this sermon today. It isn't true about Hosea's children ...they never asked their dad where is mom because she sold her children to slavery and Hosea didn't know this happened. She wasn't gone for several years. She was gone for a couple of months. The soldier that lured her in got tired of her and Gomer got sold back into prostitute. Hosea saved her because of his obedience to God. That we are to love others the way God loves us through everything we have done
