Yasir Qadhi is following the position of Ibn Taymiyya rahimahullah on this, and has abandoned the incorrect, misguided analysis of Abdulwahhab, the mass murdering tyrant who his own brother called out and said he was a complete deviant. Actions are but by intentions. Both for the good and bad deeds. If intention is deleted from the equation, the sin i.e. drinking alcohol, is still a sin but by taking the intention to account (i.e. a person who accidentally drinks a soft drink thinking its innocent then realises the alcohol is in the ingredients) will be automatically forgiven and treated lightly (as per Hadith that the Ummah is forgiven for sins they do out of sincere error judgement) vs someone who drinks the same drink knowingly and with the intention of becoming intoxicated, would be sinful and punished accordingly, (unless they repent of course. Similarly if you see a man doing Sujood to a tree that is normally worshipped by pagans, he is not automatically guilty of committing Shirk, as when you ask him why he did that, his answer could be "I had no clue and I was just praying Asar and used this tree as my Sutra" That would not be an issue at all, yet by taking the hadith out of context "Dua is Ibadah" and not cross referencing that with other known Hadith "Actions are according to their intentions" will lead you astray and continue your slippery slope down the khwariji pathway and mindset. He has spoken the Truth on this matter and the falsehood of Abdulwahhab's cult is now plain and clear for all who are not tainted with Kibr to see.

You know, I don't really listen to yasir qadhi much but I do remember he once said a few years ago that mainstream islam is the right path so I'm gonna take his advice and and not his new opinions on islam.
mainstream islam is not islam that has the more media coverage because backed american and british satellites and by petro dollars...... nadjdis (neo salafis) are a tiny bunch of people that does too much sound......... mainstream islam, is islam of the four madhabs, they are everywhere, but they are quiet, wise people, their objective is to learn and teach, not as the nadjdis to destroy and refute everyone..... so no, he is making another point that ibn abdelwahab was completely false...... now if they can elaborate an answer, well that's okay, he did an ijtihad, that wasnt even his, its the opinion of other scholars as he says, he says its the opinion of classical scholars before the wahabis, and todayit is the opinion at least of Hatim Bin Arif Al-Awni which is a great scholar.... now if he is wrong , then he did ijtihad and was wrong, but prove it.... that's the question
@@abdelhakyac7285 Al-Awni accompanies people that curse the sahabah! Al-Awni is not a scholar! As for proof that yasir is wrong that they are many from the Qur'an and sunnah. But this hadeeth should be sufficient for a Muslim: An-Nu’man ibn Bashir (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: “Dua is worship." Collected by Abu Dawud [1479], At-Tirmithi [3372] An-Nisa’I in Al-Kubara [11464], Ibn Majah [3828]. Imam An-Nawawi graded this Hadith as being Sahih.
@mimomimi it's joke to demonstrate the absurdity of yasir qadhis statements about shirk. He said that it is not shirk to invoke dead people as long as you don't believe this dead person is God. Obviously an catastrophic statement from yasir qadhi, nobody should listen to him.
whoever he is and how knowledgeable he is doesn't matter. When there is a Sahih hadith from many many chains. الدعاء هو العبادة. .Invoking is Worshipping. So invoking is Shirk since you can only Worship Allah and Allah alone.
What is the definition of Dua that is worship? The definition is: Asking who you believe is God. Therefore, if I said to a person: Feed me, I did not worship him, and if I said to God: Feed me, then I worshiped Him. Why did the second act become an act of worship for the one from whom it was requested? Because I asked who I believe is God.
@ahmadasdfhb No, it's totally different, If you invoke anyone who is not "present" حاضر or able to hear you. It's a tribute that can only be assigned to Allah. He is the only one who is "present" (by means of His knowledge) and listening all the time to everyone. No one else could claim or has this ability. That is why invoking someone who is absent غائب except Allah is not permitted and considered Shirk. We know that there are angels everywhere, and they have been assigned duties to perform like moving wind, sending down rain, providing food, protecting us, and even sending salutation to Prophet Muhammad PBUH. But have anyone ever invoked any of the angels knowing that they have the duties mentioned above? The answer is no! So, the same way we can not invoke any human being alive of dead who is absent, let alone if he/she is able to help us or has any authority. And that's what Qadhi trying to legitimize that calling dead or alive ansent saints and prophets is ok as long as you do not believe them as god. But he forgot that is the definition of Shirk in the Quran and Hadith and violation of اياك نعبد و اياك نستعين. Even the Arabic language itself negates the concept of invoking any غائب (unseen/absent) there is no فعل الأمر (the verb of order/request) for anyone absent. In Arabic language, you can only order or request who is present (حاضر). انا، نحن، انت، انتِ، انتم، انتما، انتن

And if we divide, we divide for the sunnah. Now if yasir qadhi has made these enormous blunders then i divide from him and those that support him! Because supporting him is like supporting these blunders that he is now known for. And if he returns to the sunnah then we would accept his apology.

yes unity is good. But you should refer back to the ayah 103 of Surah Ali Imran. Allah has commanded us to hold his rope. As Muslims we are only united by holding on to the Rope of Allah, we are not united by holding hands. The scholars have said that the Rope of Allah refers to the Qur'an. Now yasir qadhi has opposed the quran in what he has said about shirk (see ayah 3 of surah az-zumar, verses 84-89 of al-muminoon, see surah az-zukhruf). The matter is clear but so many people are confused. Thus it is mandatory for the people who possess knowledge about yasir's mistake that they make things clear to the people. You must understand that they are minor mistakes and major mistakes. Read about the early imams and how they dealt with major mistakes. Imam Ahmand bin Hanbal boycotted Imam Yahya bin Ma'een (may Allah have mercy on them both) due to a major mistake he did. This is all very interesting being born and raised in the US. Its a mirror image of what has happened to Christianity over the past few decades here. A majority of conservative christian churches have been compromised and/or infiltrated over time to where the average christian here now accepts homosexuality, sex before marriage, etc as being totally normal. And "you are a bigot and going against Jesus' (pbuh) teachings" if you reject what has happened, or you are told "there's nothing you can do about it, don't worry, don't call it out, God will handle it". Sheikh Yasir Qadhi Masha-Allah is the greatest scholar of our generation. I see so many people constantly attacking him recently. Well you can jump up and down all you want, but you can't drag him down from his position. You can't take away what Allah has blessed him with. He has immense knowledge and a great analytical mind. I even saw some say he is not a "real" scholar. Like I can't even.... I do not agree with his conclusion regarding the shirk issue myself. Though I understand where he is coming from. But it doesn't make him a bad scholar. You will always find even among the ancient scholars we unanimously revere now greatly differed in their view of many important topics. We just love to romanticize the ancient scholars and think they were all above flaw. Just dive a little deeper and maybe do some math on the side to clear your head, so that you can think. Scholars may come to different opinion on different matters. Because they are human. So stop attacking them. If you agree with one great. If you don't agree with one, move on. Try to focus more on your self than to refute different scholars opinions. That would certainly be most beneficial.

@@naseemkad Asalaam Aleykum warahma tullahi wabarakatuhu. You have made a few fallacious claims on your behalf. Let me address them. Firstly, I've seen the whole talk. Secondly, I'm very familiar with the English language. Thirdly, your first sentence alone tells me it is actually you who appears to not understand my response written in English. Maybe the Hadith went past you. Aqeedah is crystal clear in Islam. This is something the youth or younger generation of today seem to have no idea about. If i held a view that is backed by evidence from Qur'an + Sunnah + Early Predecessors then i changed my view later on in life to the contrary of the insurmountable evidence. Therefore, this suggests that either i was right before and wrong now or i was wrong before and thus right now. This is how logic works. Nobody is infallible in terms of knowledge. When a person is wrong, they're wrong. Especially in terms of Aqeedah which would lead a person into the hellfire. Narrated Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people on the farewell Hajj and said: "O People! I am leaving among you such a thing that if you strongly adhere to it you will never go astray, the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet." The prophet Muhammad ﷺ came to do away with all forms of Shirk. If you read the Qur'an you can see this. If anyone reads the Seerah they can see this. What he is saying goes against what the prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught. If the prophet taught something we need evidence of such a thing. This religion my dear sister isn't based upon whims, desires and having an opinion that suits your narrative. We aren't Christians or Jews. This Deen is based upon reason and hard evidences taken from the Qur'an and Sunnah. No man is above the words of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ and the prophet Muhammad ﷺ. If anyone tells you something about Islam you have to do your research and enquire about it. Ask people that are knowledgeable. Read their books and see what they say on this particular matter. Ask for the source material to substantiate the claims that someone makes. If they just make an opinionated claim without giving you a reference. Then question marks should start to form in your head immediately. Moreover, you made spurious and fallacious claims where you claimed i mocked, hurt and you mentioned the word slandered. So now i want you to substantiate your claim as you have now accused me falsely. Which is a sin in Islam if you didn't know. He has been refuted now by various scholar's in the field regarding this topic and other topics. Don't be beguiled by anyone who says anything that opposes the Qur'an and Sunnah even if it's your own father. If i told you that chewing pork and consuming it is no sin "in and of itself" so long as you vomit afterwards, would you then teach this to your children and other's publicly? What more is the case of Shirk? Shirk is the unforgivable sin in Islam if you didn't know. Even Christian children know this basic Aqeedah point. ANYTHING that even leads to Shirk we must stay far away from. As was mentioned earlier and in the books of the scholars. Shirk is Shirk. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ addresses the Quraysh Pagan Arabs as Mushriks. Do you know what this word means and do you know what it entails? Do you know the beliefs of the Pagan Arabs at the time? And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. Invoking upon the dead/ graves / saints is shirk . Let me prove it form the Quran and sunnah . May be you didn’t under what Yasir Qadhi said, and Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem and the brother with the doorbell example explained it. Aren’t these enough for you?
The key in this ayah is لا نعبدهم الا the mushrikeen never denied they worshipped idols, and made their intentions clear. Their paganism is no different from any shirki religion out there that believe in demi gods that hold a portion of God's power and manage a portion of his dominion. That is why all the ayaat address this falsehood. No mainstream Muslim group that does waseelah believes nor intends their act as worship, nor do they believe in any other gods but Allah. Their action of doing waseelah through saints or Prophets is considered Haram and Bida'a by many scholars and supported by many others with specified conditions. But there was never an accusation from the classical scholars that Muslims were doing Shirk because of their professed intentions.
@@modoudiene6504 The act of asking a pious person in the grave without the intention of worship is Bidaa and Haram according to many traditional scholars, but not Shirk. Yet the reason and wisdom of saying it is Haram and/or Bidaa is to prevent future generations of using it as a stepping stone of eventually falling into Shirk as was done by the people of Noah (AS) with the pious individuals whose images became idols. There is no disagreement on the act of doing waseelah via the dead as being dangerous and strongly discouraged, as per the ruling of Haram and Bida'ah, But it is not Shirk unless it is accompanied by the belief and intention of worship. Shall I tell you of another route for committing shirk and being guilty of the crime without ever doing the act itself? It is to accuse a believer who is innocent of the crime of being a Mushrik! as per the Hadith that when a muslim hurls an accusation of Kufr or shirk to another Muslims then surely one of them has to be. So if the accused is actually innocent, then the accusation recoils to to the accuser. And there are plenty of Hadith warning the Ummah of the people who will do that from the Ummah the chief of them being the Khawarij at the time of Sahabah, and nowadays the staunch followers of Abdulwahab If we are so fearful of Shirk, then realise that Shaytaan has duped so many via the misguided teachings of Abdulwahaab and he has entered countless of Muslims to be guilty of Shirk through the backdoor of unleashing their loaded slanderous tongues against Muslims who may be sinful yer are completely otherwise innocent of the Major crime they are being accused of.
In Islam we do any Dua for benefits, so what is the benefit of calling on the dead person? What are Conditions of calling on the dead? Ask Yasir Qadhii on my behalf.

Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman: The people used to ask Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about good, but I used to ask him about evil for fear that it might overtake me. Once I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We were in ignorance and in evil and Allah has bestowed upon us the present good; will there by any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "Will there be good after that evil?" He said, "Yes, but it would be tained with Dakhan (i.e. Little evil)." I asked, "What will its Dakhan be?" He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them." I said, "Will there by any evil after that good?" He said, "Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation to it will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Describe those people to us." He said, "They will belong to us and speak our language" I asked, "What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a chief (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (i.e. eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah while you are still in that state."
Putting these small clips together to refute someone by name and to dishonour him because you do not understand and haven't seem whole videos and talks is a massive problem, and it can easily make you hate someone you haven't even heard off..Fear Allah swt and stop this, because you will answer for this..

What is the definition of Dua that is worship? The definition is: Asking who you believe is God. Therefore, if I said to a person: Feed me, I did not worship him, and if I said to God: Feed me, then I worshiped Him.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path. Ameen thumma Ameen.
yes unity is good.
Now people are talking against yasir's mistake and people are calling this inappropriate?!

Meanwhile they are teaching children under 7 years old about sexual deviance of all kinds and you aren't allowed to disagree. Here are some of his dangerous mistakes:
1. in a video published by EPIC (in Plano, Texas), he said that Yajooj and Majooj are "fairy tales". We can not say that, when it is mentioned in both the Quran (Al-Kahf) and the hadith of Prophet Mohamed (Sallu Allahu alaihi wa sallam).
2. for the same video above (in point 1), he said something to the meaning of "from an Engineering perspective, how can a dam hold people so powerful like Yajooj and Majooj for thousands of years"!!!
So, basically, he is saying that everything Allah (Subhanahu wa t'aalaa) does MUST pass our limited human mind, and engineering standards?????
3. in another video, he said that the "science of Tawheed" is a recent science. This is 100% wrong statement, as Prophet Mohamed (Sallu Allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to say to the messengers he is sending to the tribes in the Arabian peninsula "teach them Tawheed .. when they believe, then teach them Salat .. and when they do it (the salat), then teach them the Zakat".
4. He seems to be OK with grave worshipping and going to Saints, which is a SHIRK matters that Prophet Mohamed (Sallu Allahu alaihi wa sallam) warned us NOT to do.

Yasir Qadhi says it's haram so I am not sure what the big deal is , he isn't exactly propagating it.
Asalaam Aleykum warahma tullahi wabarakatuhu. Brother either all of us have hearing issues or one person does, in this case that person would be you. I've watched and listened to what he said. He said it clearly "it's not shirk in and of itself" and that it's just something that will open the doors to shirk. He is absolutely wrong in this matter. If you pick up any book regarding this matter it is clear. Our beloved prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that invocation is worship. So now you decide who to follow.
I am leaving among you such a thing that if you strongly adhere to it you will never go astray, the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet."
The prophet Muhammad ﷺ came to do away with all forms of Shirk.
Ya akhi can you please explain to me how
The key in this ayah is لا نعبدهم الا the mushrikeen never denied they worshipped idols, and made their intentions clear.
@@treasuresofmedina6882 What is the meaning of نعبد؟

@@treasuresofmedina6882 what is the reason why prophet Noeh(peace be upon him) was sent?
And there are plenty of Hadith warning the Ummah of the people who will do that from the Ummah the chief of them being the Khawarij at the time of Sahabah, and nowadays the staunch followers of Abdulwahab
If we are so fearful of Shirk, then realise that Shaytaan has duped so many via the misguided teachings of Abdulwahaab and he has entered countless of Muslims to be guilty of Shirk through the backdoor of unleashing their loaded slanderous tongues against Muslims who may be sinful yer are completely otherwise innocent of the Major crime they are being accused of.
In Islam we do any Dua for benefits, so what is the benefit of calling on the dead person?
What are Conditions of calling on the dead?

He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition.

Imam al Haythami (rah) said after this hadith: It is narrated by Al-Bazzar and all its narrators are reliable (thiqa) [Reference: Majma uz Zawaid, Volume 10, Hadith No. 17104]
This hadith is not only authentic but rather it has been “ACTED UPON” by great scholars
