This video demonstrates the preparation of Poricha Kulambu.
Ingredients:
Pumpkin - 250g
Carrot - 2
Drumstick- 1
Moong Dal - 125g
Coconut - 1/2 grated
Jeera - 2tspn
Coconut oil - 1tbspn
Mustard seeds - 1tspn
Urad dal - 2tspn
Green chilli - 2
Red Chilli - 1
Asafoetida powder - 1tspn
Salt - Per taste
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Steps to prepare:
1. Wash the vegetables thoroughly and cut into small pieces as shown.
2. Wash the moong dal thoroughly.
3. Put the vegetables and moong dal in a cooker and add 3 cups of water. Cook till 2 whistles.
4. Take 1/2 grated coconut, 2 green chilli, 1 red chilli, 2tspn jeera in a mixer jar, 1/4 cup water and grind it to a consistency as shown in the video.
5. Transfer the grinded content and cook it for 10-15 mins.
6. Take 1tbspn coconut oil in a kadai. Add 1tspn mustard seeds. Allow it to split.
7. Add 2 tspn urad dal. Allow it to turn golden brown.
8. Add curry leaves and for extra flavor add 1 tspn Asafoetida powder.
9. Garnish with Coriander leaves.

I tried making this kolambu as per the video, it just so yummy and all my family members enjoyed it as well. It's a quick and healthy recipe and especially when you don't have time to prepare sambar, and koottu. This makes our job and yummy too.
