I absolutely love this channel Randy. I've caught more bass side rigging my straight shank hook on that Zoom mag ol' monster worm than I have on a EWG or worm hook with other brand worms. I'm stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia and I just bank pond fish, and it is absolutely incredible who the tips and tricks you give land more bites. I'm not an established bass angler on a lake, but from my little experience it's incredible how the little tips and tricks help out, so thank you so much Randy. Please keep up the videos! I appreciate it!
My first trip to Santee-Cooper in 1975 with my fishing buddy at the time, hired a guide who told us to buy these 12" worms and that was all we needed. He took us to the tailrace below Lake Moultrie. With me thinking no bass will bite these huge worms, we caught big bass in this tidal water and had a successful trip there. Been using them ever since.
Yup, been a summer go to for years. I use plum and blue fleck for my ribbon tails. In low light or low water visibility I use a BPS Squirmin’ Worm , 10” Junebug. Thanks for the tips and videos. Tight lines and Godspeed.
Randy plum is my favorite worm color since I was a kid fishing off the bank on bull shoals. My brother and I used to fish the outer corners of boat docks and we could catch them all summer long.
Yall too slow in that you either peg or not. There are numerous other better ways. You don't have to use worm weights.....and weights can be rigged to be virtually snagless.
Here’s my refined technique, over two decades in the making: 12” worm on 17lb flouro, 11/0 mag worm hook, 1/4 oz Gambler screw-on bullet weight, tungsten. I push a toothpick through the worm into the hookeye to keep it from pulling down on missed fish. I also peg the weight to keep from tearing the worm. Run the worm at least 1” over the eye. Get bit with rod high, reel down SLOWLY until no slack, break his damn jaw, twice.
Hey here is your next thing to do on RUclips. Make it a fair boxing match Randy with a referee and judges and the whole bit!! Make him agree to box u straight up and kick the crap out of him and put it on your channel!!! LOL!!
Back in the early 80s I used to take mom and dad Christmas tree put a piece of old plywood underneath set a cinder block on top then concrete the tree in the block take my dads truck drive out to my favorite stocked pond that I stocked with my dad and toss em in the pond
@@MrHabitat009 better idea , the pond close to my house was made out of concrete and it had no trees or brush growing out of it , so when I did this for several years , I could go fish those spots and not too many people knew about em and I could always go catch a few
@@MrHabitat009 yep mine was unreal , I wish I still had it today , I even wish I could get it back but after 50 it went out the window , and I will tell u the truth it sucks , fishing used to be everything to me , thanks for talking to me , sincerely
@@SpookyRedz yeah that’s too bad. I’m 34 and fishing is everything to me as well. I currently live in Florida but I’m moving to north Georgia in the next few weeks and I’m looking forward to basically learning a complete opposite style of fishing to what I’m used to down here. If I remember correctly we spoke once before and you said you were from Louisiana? Im sure fishing in Louisiana has to be similar to here In Florida but I’m a little overwhelmed with learning to fish deep and off shore since most of my fishing here is shallow and lots and lots of vegetation and deepest I fish here is about 10’

Up in Heaven Ed Chambers is looking down at you saying thank you Randy for the big punch for his old monster.
Quality video
Randy....curious as to why such a heavy weight if the worm already weights an ounce? Thanks
It keeps the “head” on the ground while the “tail” stays floating around. It also helps the ribbon tail flutter as it’s dropping through the water.
Old monster mag is a staple on Toledo Bend plumb apple is the boss!
I’ll have to try those. I use mag 2 plum.
Missle Baits Tomahawk worm is awesome too. They don’t make em anymore.
Thank you Randy!
Thanks for the heads up.

Last week I caught some good ones on a plum Ol Monster in about 15’ to 20’ of water with a 1/2 oz weight. I’ll have to give the Mag Ol Monster a shot.
Dragging the Baby Huey 14” works when they are out of the brushpiles feeding. 3/8 oz weight, drag.
Night fishing on Bull Shoals Lake is my fav place. Got a ten on the wall from ‘85. 😊
That dock with the rod tip is some juice, I don’t know why I never thought of that lol
Junebug, is my go to. Zoom Mag II is good one as well!

What if there is a quarter mile of brush? What brush do you target?
The center of every pile
Do u not use the g finesse hybrid worm hook?

I swear every single summer secret I have been using for over two decades has been publicized in the last two months!!!
Black with red flake definitely my favorite
Do you peg your weight ? Thank you for all the great information you provide.

I’ve been fishing these big ribbon tail worms on a wobble head lately 🔥🔥🔥
Do the wobble heads do ok in grass lakes or is it a more hard bottom approach? I've never thrown them, and I'm down in Florida.
Would those big worms be good to throw from the bank?
I never forget my magnums

That’s a pretty view you got behind you .
Don't forget the planted brush off the ends of docks. Not every dock has them but a lot do.
Hi Randy, so right ! ! Ribbon tail worn is awesome ! Thanks Randy !

Great video these colors are for all lakes or ??? Specific lakes . Yes I’ve done very well with those colors. My favorite for Grand is Motor oil
Loved it
Just have the old monster not the magnum. I'll try anything in the dead of summer. Like a grape and also a red shad in 10".
Dang you’ve done good on that worm
Throw that thing on a huge shakey head. That's one of my secrets for fishing brushpiles and ledges
