  • Hey Guys! So, I'm back with another video! Today we are going to learn how to install a wig. I know I have done this video in the past, however, ever since starting this channel I have been wearing wigs more and more and I feel like I am much better at explaining things than I was when I did the original one and why not do it again for all the new people who have joined us. Wig installation for beginners can be overwhelming! We are using Got2b Glued Spray is great for installing a wig for beginners! I have worn so many more wigs since that first video and I’m back to show you how to throw your wig on, make it look more natural, and keep it moving. This is my How to Install A Wig 2.0! How do you install your wigs? Let me know in the comments below.

    Once my scars heal from brain surgery, I will be wearing a wig. I am donating all my long hair to help children with cancer. I will be getting my head shaved soon to prepare for surgery. I purchased a 65 dollar wig from Amazon and I pray it looks good on me. I'm 53 so it's gonna look funny for me.....

    Jesse, Thank you so much. My very first wig is long, reddish and gorgeous, but I could not get it to stay on my head no matter what I did. I was just about to give up ever being able to wear it. With your tips, I think I can, finally, do that. Bless you lady. Your helping a 76 year old gal have some serious fun. By the way, my hubby likes it, too.

    I’ve been using lace front wigs for over a decade. I use Got2b glued spray to “glue” down the lace front as you do. I spray the product around my hairline and position the wig. After I’m happy with the position, I use my hair dryer on a very low setting to dry it while pressing on it along the hairline. Easy on in a couple of minutes and it stays that way all day. I have even gotten on rollercoasters with my wigs on and they had stay put! 😂

    Thank you so much for your videos. I've never done anything before with wigs, but figured there had to be a way to work with them. I watched a bunch last weekend.
    What I loved the most was the confidence you gave me to know that it was okay to remove hair from the wig. I have no hairdressing experience so I have no idea what you can and can't do with wigs. The fact that you can cut out the front bulky piece. So unbelievably helpful. I would love to send you my before and after pictures so you could really see how much you helped. I got so many compliments and I wore it for most of the evening. I have hair loss but not total. So, I comb hair to nape of neck and twist it and fold and clip. I always sew a comb in the nape of the neck of wig so I came co.b the co b up in the twisted hair pinned on my nape of my neck. I glue at the forehead with what I use and off I go.

    What do you recommend for people who profusely sweat? Got to be rinses right off. Head stockings get warm and stretch and fall off bunching under the wig or falling off taking the wig with it. Bands are the same. Silicone, fabric it does not matter. They heat up, stretch, become soaking wet and fall off. I am incredibly thin haired in the front so clips do not help. Ghost bond helps the best. Was wondering if you had any tricks? I do take anti-sweat pills that help unless it is a hot ass day.

    I prefer a wig grib, what do you think about those? 🌺❤️

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  3 года назад +2

      You can use one instead you just might want to do an extra layer of the “glue” I just find the grip can sometimes add more of a gap between your hairline and the wig since it has a little hight on it but if you just make sure you use something to hold it in place while it dries like I did in the video it should be fine. It’s really personal preference. 😊

    Would installing the wig using this method help to blend the hairline? I would say that's my biggest insecurity when it comes to wigs, the hairline ♥️😊
    Going to buy these products to try this on my new wig coming in the mail. Rylan from CSC 💕😍

      Yes it will help. You can “Melt” and blend the lace into your hairline a lot easier.

    What do you recommend for ppl going thru chemo and radiation?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  Год назад +1

      I would look into a wig grip combo or they make some great more supportive wig caps to protect your skin and scalp if you are going through Treatments like that that can cause skin sensitivity.

    So the gel is used as the adhesive?

  • @ruthiebelle1

    Who knew about wig glue? I had radiation, hair will not grow back, so wigs are IT for my future. But the caps slide up and pop off under the wig! They also give me a headache. So much to learn! I've been just wearing the wig alone and never feel that it's going to stay on! Thanks for the information. How often do you have to wash the wig because of the glue?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  Год назад +1

      I clean them off with micellar water after taking them off and that usually gets most of the glue off. Warm water and soap to the area after 2-3 times is usually what I do if I notice buildup.

    My wig has ear tabs and when I pull the tabs in front of my ears my hair still shows. The side burns especially. How can I fix this issue?

      I shave my sideburns but if your having issues then it’s probably to small ear to ear on your head.

    No matter what I’ve tried my wig rides up in the back. Would this keep it in place at the nape of the neck?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  Год назад +1

      Yes. Also recommend using a wig cap and spraying the Got2be glued in the back so the cap is stuck to your head and then you can also anchor that back comb in and under the wig cap

      You could definitely cut a bang into any lace front wig. I have a few videos showing some ways I do that on here. 😊

    I’m not sure if I need to use a lace WIG GRIP, since it keeps the wig in place.
    I have tried the regular wig cap, and it doesn’t
    I won’t be using a glue for my wig.
    Very sceptical!

    My wig seems to ride up at the back
    So can I glue the back,

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  Год назад +2

      I recommend spraying your nylon wig cap on the back nape of your neck with some got2be glued and then once it dries you can anchor your wig comb into it if that makes sense. Or try out a wig grip and do the anchoring the same way in the back.

    So I'm new To lacewigs, I donated my hair a year ago and then I messed up the back. And decided to just buzz cut it instead of gold again. So I've started wearing wigs. But I bought my first lace one and I love it but when I tried to glue it down. I used this stuff and I used their wig gel. And it didn't stay at all.

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  9 месяцев назад

      Hmm. I usually don’t have any issues with Got2be glued products. It’s possible you might need to do more layers of the gel and make sure it’s nice and tacky before you place the wig down? Did you let it dry completely and then take the spray at the end to help really lock it down?
