    If reverse camera+parking sensors kit is mounted, do I need to connect 12V from reverse light or is canbus enabled?

    • @nichiforiuc
      @nichiforiuc  4 года назад

      In my case, is canbus enabled by navigation. In your case, you will probably connect to reverse lights.

      I do not know how to call it, but it looks like fishing wire and is used by electricians for pulling wires throw the walls. I bought it from a bricolage store. Try at electrical store. Read my webpage, link in video. Maybe it helps.

    • @samhodder3683

      I looked it up with the info you gave me and apparently it’s called electricians tape or a wire noodler! Weird!

    Hi, did you need to put the other red wire to a live? And did you ground it? I tried just putting the red wire on the reverse wire but it didn't work... how can i isolate the other side? Any help is appreciated, thanks 😊

    • @nichiforiuc
      @nichiforiuc  Год назад

      I use this rear camera with chinese navigation. The red wire is "+". The ground is on the video cable. The video cable is made of two wires: one is inside, for video signal, and the other one is around the first one and is for ground. My english is poor and is very hard for me to explain. Both red wires are for "+" and you can use one. No need to connect both. In my video, the ground is from RCA connector from navi.

    Im having difficulty trying to install my camera. I have navigation with canbus. From one side I connected the red cable to navigation to"reverse" but what happens to the other side (camera side)? where do we connect the red cable? do we just leave it hanging? Again one side is clear, the other where the camera is i dont know what to do with the red cable

    • @nichiforiuc
      @nichiforiuc  2 года назад

      Red wire is for power the camera. If you connected to navi, the other side of the wire need to be isolated. If you do not have navi, you can power the camera to the rear reverse light. So, in your case, you power the camera from the navi, you do not need to power it from the reverse light. Isolate the other side.

      In cazul meu, cablul video are cate un fir roșu la fiecare capăt. Cele doua fire rosii sunt pentru alimentarea camerei, și se folosește doar unul din ele. În cazul meu, am navigatie, și din navigație îmi ieșea un fir dedicat pentru a lega de firul rosu si astfel sa alimentez camera. Daca nu ai navigatie, poti alimenta prin firul rosu de la capatul dinspre camera, și ar trebui legat la becul de marsarier.

      There are 2 red cables. One red cable on each end of the harness. If you have android navigation, you connect the red cable to navi, but if you don't have navi, you connect the other red cable from the trunk lid to rear white light. The red cable is powering the camera when you drive back.
