My family kisses each other on the lips. It’s normal. My husband’s Italian family does the same thing.
I want to chime in and say that I don't find Lunchbox kissing his dad strange at all. I'm 48 and my mom still gives me a peck on the lips. There's nothing at all salacious about it. It's simply her way of showing me love and affection. And my mom also took care of me after my spinal surgery 10 years ago. She sponge bathed me and helped me get on and off the toilet. Nothing weird with her being my caregiver. The only difference is that I'm older now.

I also kiss my own children on the lips or cheeks. It's how we show love . I didn't have a dad growing up and still don't. I always wanted that affection as a child. So now I show my kids
Lunchbox you go man! That is your family thing then it's great! I wish it was mine, like Eddie my children as babies I kissed them on the lips. As they grew older it kinda faded away, now I give them a kiss on the cheek and a big hug.
I'm 50 and I kiss both my kids and parents on the lips.. I have a little brother and 2 baby sisters that are like 20 years younger then me and I've always kissed them on the lips also nothing weird about it😘😁

My family has always kissed each other on the lips. My mother in law has always kissed us on the lips. The only one I never kissed on the lips is my brother, & nephews but my mom has always kissed all of us on the lips including my nephew's and my brother. I kiss my kids on the lips since they were born and now they're adults that's the way we were raised. GOOD FOR YOU LUNCH BOX 👍 I was told by my boyfriend for the first time in my life that it was wrong. I disagree and his family doesn't know how to show love that's how he was raised
