Hello! Wow! Does this bring back memories! I was there from 87-89. I was assigned to D Co. I really miss Rheinland, Ettlingen, and Karlshue as a whole. Wish I could go back even for a visit. It seems like such a magical place in my mind now so many years later. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Morton SGT, USA
Wow!! Thanks for this gift of memory lane in video!!! I can see the mess hall has been totally removed from the grounds and the HHC building seemed to be walled off from your tour. I served here in 86-89, supply specialist HHQ S-4. I think whoever shot this was from Charlie Company cuz they spent the bulk of their time there (totally understandable)... I thought I saw the church, gym, the place where I got the forced haircuts, batallion HQ (home of Col Sadoff - Not sure of the spelling - during my time there), the bar that was right outside of the kaserne! Was hoping I'd get to see the front door of the HHQ building one last time, but it's all good. This is as close as I'll ever get to it again. Great memories.. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Butler?? Were you in HQ supply and worked with a guy named David Tony, or Tony David or Toy (he was darker haired and small in stature, from Erie PA)... Brault here from Wisconsin... Sure you won't remember me but I played guitar (not to be confused with Steven Tobias) and was probably pretty annoying.😊
@rogerbutler4019 AMAZING! I'm not going to say small world, but, wow! Yeah Toy and I arrived nearly the same time. December '86ish. You were already considered a short timer in our eyes. Sweet, and thanks for responding. I hope all is well, and happy holidays. 🌲
