- Asha from Wish finally turns into a Magical Fairy Godmother ✨ The Magic dress transformation missing from the Disney movie Wish!
Hi everyone^___^ How are you? Many of you guys have asked me to do a Wish speedpaint, so I immediately decided to create a proper new dress, hair style and jewelry for Asha in her new role as the fairy godmother of Rosas :) I hope you think its a satisfying video^^
I was so disappointed by THAT Wish scene, so this Asha princess transformation edit made me a bit happier lol. Disney KNOWS how to make a princess glow up, so why did nothing happen?
Anyway, as usual, I dont just create a picture, but a full disney movie scene as part of a bigger story :) I imagine Asha moves into magnifico's tower study and spends her life devoted to magic and to help the people of Rosas. The magic Star has given Asha is still a bit hard to control, but eventually she becomes a mighty sorcerer and she brings up the mirror of Magnifico from the dungeons, to remind her never to be evil and steal wishes like he did in the song This is the thanks I get (amazing tune by the way!).
Every time, Asha uses her magical powers to help others, Magnifico rages and yells from his mirror, but he cant do anything about it haha.
Asha's Wish glow up is inspired by traditional moorish clothes from back in the time when Southern Spain was rules by arabs, which fits Asha's story as she is of mixed race as well, part Spanish and part African :) the princess dress design is based on kaftans. I tried to stay as true to Pixar's lore for Asha and since she is rather a sorceress than a princess Asha, I wonder if we should call her fairy godmother Asha, witch or is she a ruler of Rosas? I quite like that idea of her being the new ruler of the Rosas island :) What do you think?
Oh btw, did you notice that Asha wears a cloak in the same colour and style as the fairy godmother in Cinderella? It happens soon after the I'm a Star song, when she and Valentino flees Magnifico in the forest and Star gives her the first wand! And the second wand Star gifts her is the exact same design as the wand which conjured Cinderella's dress.
Since, Cinderella's fairy godmother is obviously white and Asha is a person of color, I think the wand and cloak are like a fairy godmother uniform, which means that the disney world might have tons of fairy godmothers out there, sorceresses just spending their entire lives waiting for pure hearted people to wish upon a star - and now Asha is one too! :)
Asha's braids was by far the hardest thing to edit in this Disney wish speedpaint and I used the This Wish scene, where Asha is wishing upon a star, as reference and inspiration :)
Seriously, Ariana DeBose (Asha) and Chris Pine (Magnifico) sing so so beautifully in the Wish movie. The songs and character designs are by far my favourite parts of Wish!
If you have any ideas for other Disney's Wish edits, please let me know in the comments underneath. It can be from the new Wish full movie, song clips from This is the thanks I get or This Wish, or just a general idea about one of the characters, like Asha, Amaya or Magnifico. I often create Happy Ever Afters or like a Disney Princess transformation ^___^ I prefer the setting to be after the Wish ending, to kinda continue the Disney story rather than changing things that have happened, but feel free to give any suggestion. ^___^ I also do Disney Princess and Pixar edits in general.

I love the movie and don’t understand all the negative criticism it got. I thought it had a good story, the songs were great and so full of soul, and the art style is beautiful, especially when you got a shot of just the background or even the sky. I can tell Disney had fun making it.

And i also, i love the movie Wish, in my opinion that movie is among one of the most underrated movies ever, it is a great honor for Disney's 100 years (1923-2023).
And, i am curious on how it would be if Asha and Fairy Godmother met each other, maybe Asha could be a great apprentice to Fairy Godmother.
And i am also curious on how it would be if Dahlia, Gabo, Hal, Simon, Bazeema, Safi and Dario met the seven dwarfs (Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy & Dopey).

I love this one. For all of their fans especially the big fans as I'd be one of the bigger fans for both females what I'd love as another Wish photo is Asha Has A Street Concert With Merida's Family. To be honest, I tried to do it, but I couldnt make them look right. Its like I made them look too human-like and not ennough toy-like :/ So I scrapped my edit. It happens once in a while, that my ideas just wont come out right 😅😅😅 The Elsa and Jack as real life people was almost a scrapped edit as well lol.

This edit is amazing! Asha's dress is so beautiful and I wish they could've made Star used his magic to transform Asha's dress to that one and honestly, I felt pissed that they didn't and I really love your design of Asha's dress in this edit. You know, there was a theory that Asha is actually Cinderella's fairy godmother and Wish is actually a prequel to Cinderella that explores Cinderella's fairy godmother's backstory and how she became a fairy godmother, but because of their different appearances, I didn't believe the theory at all. If Asha becomes a Disney Princess, I bet she would be the first Disney Princess who is a fairy godmother. The edit that you should create next is Asha's coronation as the newest and the 14th Disney Princess, being crowned by Mickey Mouse with his friends and the Disney Princesses there to attend her coronation and if you ever make this edit, I think you should make Asha wear that dress as her coronation gown and I still wish you could make an edit of Brie Larson as Snow White's sister, Rose Red from Disney's scrapped live-action film “Rose Red” and if you do, please make her have red hair and wear the same Snow White dress that Rachel Zegler is going to wear in the upcoming live-action Snow White film, but recolored with red colours and maybe recolor the yellow skirt to orange.
