This is a great car. People who badmouth it or find it "overpriced" are simply not the intended audience. This is not meant for working class people.... This is a car intended for rich people who need a city car. In terms of quality, it is far beyond anything other in the B class of vehicles. Does it offer more equipment than cheaper alternatives? No. But the build quality, noise insulation, ride quality, etc, are top notch. Interior is great as well, and the exterior looks great. A rich person who has other cars and needs a secondary city vehicle, has not better option than the A1. The rest, go buy your Renaults, your Fords, your Skodas, your Toyotas, etc. No need to even look at an Audi. Audis are not for the average driver.
Great review as ever Nobby tho' you seem astonished that it doesn't have sockets in the back, a manual handbrake etc, I don't think it's the accountants, I think it's Audi being Audi ie hideously overpriced for what it is. I wonder also who' it's aimed at other than hipsters who think by buying a car with the 4 rings are getting quality when they're not getting any greater quality a car than say a Ford or biased as I am to the brand new the equivalent Renault. Bottom line is I completely agree with you.
just bought a fully loaded Dacia Sandero Stepway 2021. It was 14.5k euros with same engine + LPG and even more options in some areas (apart from virtual cockpit). I know Dacia is bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality, but it's surprisingly comparable to this A1 citycarver which costs more than double...
VW t-roc is cheaper and a Ford Puma cheaper still, either would get my money over the Audi and i would not look like a total T*** with not having 4 over priced rings on the front, another good review 👍
This is a lifted hatch, hell more desirable than crossovers. Hope dealers will give a good discount to buyers. I want a A3 citycarver to be made. The A3 is just perfect in everyway otherwise.
