The legendary jazz-funk master Dexter Wansel. A lot of talent went into those old records - we're talking 30 or 40 people at the top of their game. Engineers, string arrangers, horn arrangers etc. So when people ask what happened to music, consider not only the lack of music education but also the budget. Most records these days are done very quickly by a handful of people.
