As an artist, it's great to have artist favorites, but with the rise of social media tutorials, I noticed that we are losing an entire generation of individual creative style. Literally millions of people are practicing how to draw like other people. When I was growing up, nobody's art looked like anyone else's. I miss that. These days, joining art groups everybody's art looks the same. I think some people forget the point is to study and learn, not to copy and reproduce other people's styles and aesthetics. An art professor in college once told me the way you know you've made it as an artist is if people can look at an unsigned work of yours and know that you painted it. These days, you can look at 100 feeds of people who "study" styles of Loish or other artists and think it's all the same person. It's a little disappointing to see people fall into the trap without ever finding their own style.
In my opinion your colouring and application of the lighthing effect was done really well, however your anatomy is off, both in the reference image as well as the original. In the reference the thumb mostly, and the left side of the face. In the original her body is at an unnatural angle compared to her face: especially her left arm is turned at an awkward angle, and her shoulders are hunched up. indicating that she is tense, but then her face is relaxed so the mood does not fit. Also, from the way her head is turned to the left, her left arm/shoulder would shift away from the viewer, meaning it should be smaller than it is now and we would not be able to see her left elbow. also, the neck and head are somewhat small for the rest of the body. I think that is also an important feature of Lois's art: it is stylized and proportions may be off, but the head always still matches the body and the figure is mostly anatomically correct (at least in the way that it suggests movement). I would recommend doing some anatomy studies :).
i have one request...plz first learn your crafter properly then start giving tutorials...its annoying when you know nothing and still make videos.
