There are many warnings of false teachers in the OT. No wonder JP and his pastors came up with new ideas saying OT has no longer apply to us while there are many scriptures in NT were taken from the OT. We hope JP and his pastors will not harden their hearts no more. I fear greatly every time when i read The warnings of the Lord🔥 📖Jeremiah 23:9-16 AMP [9] Concerning the prophets: My heart [says Jeremiah] is broken within me, All my bones shake; I have become like a drunken man, A man whom wine has overcome, Because of the Lord And because of His holy words [declared against unfaithful leaders]. [10] For the land is full of adulterers (unfaithful to God); The land mourns because of the curse [of God upon it]. The pastures of the wilderness have dried up. The course of action [of the false prophets] is evil and they rush into wickedness; And their power is not right. [11] “For both [false] prophet and priest are ungodly (profane, polluted); Even in My house I have found their wickedness,” says the Lord. [12] “Therefore their way will be to them like slippery paths In the dark; they will be pushed and fall into them; For I will bring disaster on them, In the year of their punishment,” says the Lord. I attended NCC, my first church, for 16 years and served in its ministry for more than a decade. However, I decided to leave last year (2023) because I could no longer tolerate the pretentious and hypocritical behavior of the pastors and leaders.
Better late than never. Praying that God will lead you to a Bible teaching church next. It will take time for you to detox from all the wrong teachings as well as spiritual abuse.
A normal person involved in a very serious accident will always remembered it cos it involved his/her life. JP gave a nonsensical excuse for forgetting to share with his congregation at the 1st Sunday service of Sept cos he was enveloped by the peace of God. Didn't he know there are symptoms known as PTSD. One reason I guessed is that he have no more sermon topic to share & used this incident as a topic in his subsequent Sunday Service. I thank God for protecting him & his son & I agreed with Rev George Ong that this is a divine warning to JP.
It is hardly surprising. If he continues to mock God and use His name in vain and promote himself to be the oracle of God that is God speaks through him. Self praise stinks. He is not untouchable even with his million followers on line. God is sovereign and He will protect His Word and sheep. This year pastors in 3 mega churches in Texas fell. It is still not too late to repent and turn back Please heed the warnings.
He was at the wrong place at the wrong time and probably trying to beat the red light and not practicing defensive driving to slow down when approaching a traffic light and junction.🤦🏿♂️
If you felt so much peace n a God given peace then your testimony should be immediate to thank n praise our Lord the immediate Sunday n not later following another Sunday. You got a shock and it silenced and sobered you so much out of fear not peace!! You were So shocked that you din know how to say it except you yourself felt it was God’s warning to you. Hence you were silent and din mention to your church till another Sunday later. Who can believe you?
Many motorist at one time or another beat traffic lights but don't end up in an accident. Maybe a fine. It's obvious you were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Certainly not by the grace of God

Men of God can succumb to terminal illnesses, too. This is not a good gauge of whether a Christian is truly a man of God. Most important question is whether we see Christlikeness in a Christian and whether he produces good fruits as taught in the Bible.

Basically he was trying to beat the traffic light, he could have slowed down when he saw orange.
So true he ought to slow down and not speed up causing the collision.

Let see whether God can protect him or deliver him from major terminal illness next time then. Then he is truly a Man of God
Men of God can succumb to terminal illnesses, too. This is not a good gauge of whether a Christian is truly a man of God.
Most important question is whether we see Christlikeness in a Christian and whether he produces good fruits as taught in the Bible.
