Merchant didn't take any shit from Moyles. He explains that Moyles made a jibe about a sketch that he and Ricky did years back which resulted in Merchant/Gervais taking the piss out of Moyles for the duration of their time on XFM. He then goes on to point out that since the XFM days he's gone on to win a fuck ton of awards and doesn't give a fuck anyway. So in all I reckon Merchant, respectfully and politely, owns Moyles.
